Chapter 334: Annalise’s New Plan

Annalise woke up quite late in the morning and was greeted by Sera who was preparing a hot bath for her.

For once, the morning wasn’t shrouded in the chill of snowfall and winter but in the warmth of sunlight as the sun shone brightly in the clear sky.

After taking a bath and dressing up in plain green dress with a warm cloak draped over her shoulders, she made her way downstairs to the dining hall as she was starving. She found Aunt Claire, Freya, Garron, and Pristine there.

"Good morning, Lady Annalise." The servants greeted her with warmth and Annalise returned their greetings as she settled down on her seat while Freya moved to serve her food.

After having a brunch with Pristine who had been enjoying Aunt Claire’s cooking these days, she headed outside to find her husbands as she had something important to discuss with them.

She found Kenric and Valerius sitting in the front garden while they supervised Leela testing her magic skills on the snow that was covering every inch of the castle’s grounds. She was currently in the middle of forming an ice weapon.

Damien, on the other hand, was dueling with Silas, something those two had been doing a lot recently as they were a perfect match when it came to combat.

"The lady of the house is here." Marley notified everyone even though her mates had clearly noticed her presence the moment she appeared there.

She greeted Marley before she seetled down on the only empty seat next to Valerius and Kenric. "Why didn’t you wake me up this morning?" She asked while turning to face her husbands who had their attention trained on her.

"Because we saw how badly you seemed tired last night after spending the entire day training with... that King of Darkness." Kenric answered as if he was stating the obvious.

Annalise wanted to point out that the King of Darkness had a name but she held herself back. Instead, she decided to focus on the important matter at hand. "I have something important to talk with you three. Let’s talk in private."

Realizing that she was serious - Valerius, Damien, and Kenric followed her to the currently empty living room.

"So, what is it, Princess?" Damien asked.

Annalise paced back and forth in the empty living room, while her husbands - Kenric, Valerius, and Damien - watched her with furrowed brows. The gravity of her proposal hung in the air, and she knew convincing them would be no easy task.

She took in a deep breath before speaking, her voice was filled with determination - "I’ve thought long and hard about this. The upcoming war with the dark forces threatens not only our realm but also the entire world. We need allies, powerful allies, and the seelies could be the answer."

Valerius was the first among the Dark Lords to speak - "Annalise, you know the Seelies have been reclusive for the past ten thousand years. They’ve distanced themselves from the troubles of the outside world. Why would they suddenly agree to an alliance?"

Annalise knew where the Winter Prince was coming from but she had her reasons for making such a proposal. "Indeed, they have been elusive, but that’s because they’ve always had their reasons to stay hidden. But we can’t afford to let our world fall into darkness. After all, this isn’t only about saving our kingdoms and realms but also their Realm, the Seelie Realm which is their true home. They should be a part of this battle, if not to save the world, then at least to save their homeland."

"But what if they no longer wants to return to the Seelie Realm and just happy with their lives in the Secret Realm? What then?" Kenric raised the question but the sigh that escaped Annalise’s lips made it pretty obvious just how disappointed she was with his thought process.

"Do you really think that if we lost the battle then this castle would be able to survive for long against the Dark energy? If we lost, there would be no safe Secret Realm for anyone to hide and live." Annalise pointed out the obvious.

Kenric nodded his head as if he was satisfied with the response he got.

Damien, crossing his arms, spoke - "What you just said do make sense, but we will need someone to reason with them. They have been living in seclusion for so long, without any knowledge about the outside world. They won’t just believe whstever we will tell them. Who’s going to play the middleman then?"

Annalise let out another disappointed sigh as she glared at her husbands - "It looks like I will need to do that on my own. You all barely seem to agree with my idea, let alone help me."

Damien moved closer to her as he spoke, "It’s not like that, Princess. It’s a risky gamble. The seelies are known for their distrust of outsiders. They might see this as a ploy."

Annalise met Damien’s gaze before she responded - "I know this plan is not without risks, but it’s a risk we must take. If we don’t, the darkness will consume us all. I believe in our ability to make them see reason."

Valerius, leaning forward in his seat, questioned - "What’s the plan then?"

A smile finally made its way to Annalise’s lips as she found her husbands finally giving a positive response. Both her and the Princes knew that despite the uncertainties, what she just proposed could lead them to a potential victory against their enemy and the dark energy.

"I’m first going to discuss this matter with Esmeray. If he joined us, I think it will be easier for us to convince the seelies. Besides, I will also need to find a way to get the three of you inside the Secret Realm." She revealed her planning and all three husbands nodded their heads in approval.

"We trust your judgment, Annalise. If you think we have a chance to convince the seelies to join us, we sure will support your decisions." Valerius stated as a promise.

Kenric and Damien also nodded their heads with the latter adding - "Count me in. Let’s bring the seelies into this fight."
