A startled cry had Annalise breaking the kiss as Damien pulled out before slamming deep inside her all over again. He soon set up a rhythm that had her arching toward him.

Her eyelids tried to flutter shut reflexively, but she forced them open so she could watch each expression as it crossed his devilishly handsome face.

His eyes were burning a solid black as he stared at her, unable to look away, they were speaking to her things that his mouth was unable to say at the moment.

Her eyes screwed shut, unbidden, when a pleasurably painful orgasm swept through, reminding her body she had received far too much pleasure for one person.

A hand found its way to her jaw, and her eyes flew open when Kenric turned her face toward him. "Don’t devoid yourself from the pleasure of watching at least one of us coming apart from pleasure right in your arms, Little Bird. You will definitely regret it later."

And he was right. She would definitely regret missing out on something this intimate and personal.

Hence, taking his advice, she kept her eyes open and took in every little change in Damien’s expression while the man kept thrusting deep inside her.

It was like sweet anguish, as though the pleasure was so intense he was straining to drain every ounce of it out. Then his hips slammed into her one last time, and his entire body shuddered as he gripped her almost painfully.

His eyes opened heavily as he heaved for air, staring directly into her deep ocean-blue eyes like he was seeing her differently but still the same.

She felt the men taking off whatever spell they had cast over the bonds and she immediately removed a tsunami of emotions as they rushed straight toward her through her shared mate bonds with the Midnight Princes. It was so overwhelming to the point that she almost felt like drowning in them.

Damien closed the space between their faces before he dropped a sweet and warm kiss on her forehead as if rewarding her.

Annalise found her hands making their way over his shoulders before her fingers tangled in his dark hair and she pulled his mouth over hers, initiating a kiss as she sucked his bottom lip into her mouth and bit it gently.

He groaned and then shuddered again, his hands tightening their hold on her waist as if he was about to devour her all over again, and if not for her tired body, she would have definitely enjoyed another round with the Shadow Prince.

It seemed like the man also knew her situation because he soon pulled out his length from inside her before ending the kiss and whispering in a sweet voice - "I love you, Princess."

A smile bloomed on Annalise’s lips as she whispered back - "I love you too... all three of you..." She trailed off by the end as her eyes were feeling too heavy and her body was beyond tired.

"Get some rest."

She heard Valerius’ familiar voice before cold lips found hers and she was rewarded with another sweet kiss. Unfortunately, she was already entering the world of peaceful sleep to enjoy the kiss.

It was a really beautiful day, bright and sunny, unlike the chilly days that were becoming normal these past couple of days because of the approaching season of snow and cold.

The sun shone brilliantly in the clear, blue sky, casting a luminescent glow on the tall green trees and hundreds of flowers that were in full bloom. Instead of winter, the scene gave the vibe of a warm spring day.

A woman dressed in a long white dress was standing next to a bunch of bushes that appeared to be rose plants, and there were roses of many colors blooming all over them.

The woman was quite tall, nearly five-six, with long blonde curls falling down her shoulders and making their way past her small waist.

Since she was facing away, her face was hidden. Still, the warm and powerful aura surrounding her emitted nothing but happiness and calmness.

The woman suddenly turned around and there was a welcoming smile playing on her rosy lips while her beautiful amber eyes were twinkling with wisdom.

"You have grown up so well, my child."

When she spoke, her voice sounded like a sweet melody.

"Who are you?" - the first thing that escaped Annalise’s mouth once she was able to somewhat pull herself out of the enchantment that the woman had, knowingly or unknowingly, cast over her.

The smile on the woman’s lips only became wider as tilted her head to the side before replying, "Don’t you recognize me?"

Annalise opened her mouth to respond in negative but she wasn’t given the chance as the woman spoke again - "But again - you can’t even recognize yourself. So, it’s quite understandable that you don’t recognize me."

"Who are you?" Annalise repeated the question, this time feeling a lot more anxious compared to the mere curiosity from before.

The smile didn’t falter even for a second on the woman’s lips as she replied - "I’m a part of your past and answer to the question of your origin."

Annalise shook her head as she was unable to grasp exactly what those words referred to. The woman was giving answers in riddles. "Then tell me - who am I?" This time, she changed the question and asked what she had been dying to know for a while now.

"You seem to have an answer to that question." The woman once again refused to answer directly.

"The light?" Annalise provided with her tone and words laced with the heaviness of doubt.

The woman only smiled broadly as she replied - "Yes and no."

"What do you mean? Can’t you just give me a proper answer?"

Annalise felt like she was being confined by the replies that she was receiving from the mysterious woman who had appeared in front of her out of nowhere.

"What I mean is that you are partly right about your guess, but... if you are light, then what is sealed in the depths of the Lost Seelie Realm that many have been protecting and coveting for thousands of years?"
