Chapter 148: Another Missing Wish Jewel
Finally, she found herself looking toward the two men who were inspecting the area of the main hall. She had recognized them the very moment they stepped inside the hall. The cold and powerful aura, their charismatic looks, and their noble bearing were enough to make them stand out in a crowd of thousands.
The moment they appeared, both Ezra and the Crown Prince stepped aside along with their men. There was just something about those two dark faes that made others give them the respect that they not only deserved but also owned.
"It’s indeed missing, Valerius." One of the two dark faes spoke as he stepped away from the Portal and turned to face his brother who looked so ethereal with long silver hair and ice blue eyes that shone brightly like ice crystals.
The man with long silver hair, called Valerius, turned to look at Ezra as he spoke, "The attackers took away half of the Wish Jewel from here along with the descendants of the guardian family."
"Damn it!" Ezra didn’t look too happy with the information neither did his companions. The confirmation of another missing half of the Wish Jewels only meant that something really wrong was going on behind their backs.
"What are we going to do now?" It was actually the Crown Prince who spoke this time, his question was more directed at Valerius instead of Ezra and his companions.
"There is news about another attack at the second Portal Hall here in the Mortal Realm and the one in the Seelie Empire linking the two places. Go and see if the Wish Jewel there is gone too." Valerius wasn’t asking for help as he looked at the two groups of men, he was ordering them to do exactly what he asked them to do.
"We will be back by sunset." The Crown Prince stated as he and Ezra both accepted the task without any argument.
Leela watched with a dumbfounded look as the two powerful men, one by magical powers and the other by his status, walked out of the hall with their men. "You... don’t seem to be compelling them..." She stated while her mind kept running wild while thinking about who exactly these two dark faes were and also the third one who was missing at the moment.
The two men turned their attention to her and the one with short dark hair spoke, "How about you follow the dragon shifters?"
Once again it seemed little like a request and more like an order even with that question mark added at the end. "Alright." She found herself agreeing even before realizing it.
She hurriedly walked out of the hall and headed after the group of men, leaving the two dark lords behind. Little to her knowledge, the little snowball was still tailing behind her as per its Master’s order.

Annalise pushed open the double doors of the main hall of the Portal Hall and stepped inside, her eyes keenly searching the insides to see exactly what was going on there.
She was expecting to see Ezra and his men or Leela and her little familiar, however, her gaze landed on two familiar figures who were making their way toward her with warm expressions on their faces.
"Were you that fixed on finding tge dragon shifters and the mer girl that you didn’t even notice their presence here?" Damien asked her in a teasing tone as he stopped right behind her. The warmth of his body was hitting her back and making her forget about everything else but him.
His blood was still racing inside her and was making her even more aware of things around her, especially him, but she indeed failed to notice Valerius and Kenric’s presence inside the hall even though her links with them were working just fine. It seemed like he was indeed too focused on tge Portal Hall issue to notice anything else.
Kenric was the first one to reach her and the man immediately pulled her into his arms without missing a single beat. His string arms surrounded her small frame and wrapped her in his warmth.
Annalise let out a small sigh as she buried her face in her husband’s chest and wrapped her hands around his waist. Her body relaxed instantly as the tension started leaving her body. She stayed like that for a while to allow herself to calm down a little bit before finally pulling away slightly to look up at his face.
"Are you both back for good?" Her gaze shifted to Valerius who was standing right behind Kenric. She was suddenly feeling even more anxious while waiting for their answer.
Though it had been only two days and even then her husbands made sure to meet her time and again to appease her soul and mate bond, she still couldn’t help but feel anxious about them being anywhere else but with her.
She wanted them... with her, by her side... more than she believed. Her bonds with either of her husbands weren’t stable at all and the more time they spent away from each other, the more her soul became uneasy.
She was pulled out of her troubled thoughts when she felt Damien’s presence behind her, his hands came to circle her waist the very next second right before she felt him pressing his chest against her back. "It’s alright, Princess, we are here with you." He whispered next to her ear before placing a kiss right behind her ear.
Annalise didn’t get to enjoy the sweet sensation that immediately shook her body as her attention was diverted toward Kenric who stepped closer and placed a soft feathery kiss on her forehead as he whispered, "We aren’t going anywhere, Little Bird."
