Annalise almost let out a frustrated groan when the man continued to tease her and play with her heartlessly. He kept bringing her to the very edge of the cliff and then left her hanging from there, depriving her of the release that she had been craving all this time.

Not once, or twice, but he continued to do that again and again and again. It was finally that point when she was both tired and frustrated but even when she tried to turn to look at him, he didn’t allow that either. The man was really ruthless and commanding in bed and she was finally able to see what he really meant when he said he won’t be gentle with her anymore.

"My Lord..." She finally called him in a barely audible voice but she knew that he had heard her.

Damien stopped trailing kisses down her spine and moved his face next to her ear as he whispered, "What is it, Princess? Do you want me to stop?"

Annalise immediately shook her head, clearly emphasizing that she didn’t want him to stop but knowing that he wanted her to speak the words out, she did exactly what he wanted. "Please, don’t stop, My Lord. Please take care of your mate."

"Stars, Princess." Damien let out a deep growl that radiated the same desire that was burning inside her.

He finally unlocked her hands and made her once again lay on her back on the bed before he lowered his body on hers. One of his hands maintained his weight and stopped him from crushing her while the other was trailing up and down her body.

At the same time, his mouth captured hers in such an intense kiss that left her completely out of breath. His hardness came to settle between her thighs and the tip slightly pressed against her folds. He was so hard while she was dripping, there was no denying just how much they needed each other.

She found him entangling one of his hands with hers as he pressed them on the bed while his other hand moved between their bodies to line himself against her entrance and as soon as the broad tip slipped inside her, he surprised her with a sudden thrust that had him filling her completely.

They both let out chocked groans at the very same time as he buried himself inside her and her walls stretched to accommodate him, the feeling driving them both insane.

Annalise was soon a moaning mess as the deep and fast thrusts kept driving her to the edge of the cliff and she was more than ready to fall.

She wrapped one of her hands around his shoulders and clung to him tightly as she arched her back to meet his every thrust. Damien’s harsh breathing and low groans were clear indications that he was close too.

The man once again slipped one of his hands between their bodies and played with her nipples for a while before he moved down in the direction of their joined bodies. His fingers found her bud and started running over it, adding fuel to the fire blazing inside her.

Annalise let out a shaky breath as she closed her eyes and just waited for the release that their bodies were chasing.

It didn’t even take a minute before both of them were exclaiming as pure pleasure shot through their bodies as they both reached their peaks and then fell from there, soaring through the high clouds of after waves of the pleasure that filled their bonds and made their moon threads glow brightly.

Damien’s body collapsed over hers but he made sure not to crush her under his weight. Nuzzling his face in the crook of her neck, he relaxed his body in her arms.

Annalise also lay there in silence as she softly brushed her fingers through his silky hair. Her body, soul, and their bond, everything was content at that moment and she could also feel the presence of Valerius’ bond too which filled her with another sense of completeness. However, both she and her soul noticed the absence of the third bond, the one that completed them all... Kenric.

"You seem a little sad about something. What is it?" Damien asked as he probably felt her emotions through their soulbond.

Annalise shook her head even though she knew that he couldn’t see her. "Nothing, I just realized that even though Kenric was the first one to meet me, became close to me, and even..." She let out a small sigh before continuing. "Still, we haven’t initiated a bond yet. It feels so incomplete without him."

Damien pulled away only to lay down beside her before he pulled her into his arms and covered both of them with a silk blanket that felt so soft and cool against their naked bodies.

"Do you know why you both haven’t been able to initiate a bond till now?" He suddenly asked as he ran his fingers through her long platinum blue hair.

"Why?" Annalise asked as she hurriedly raised her head to look at her husband with confusion-filled eyes. She never really thought that there was any particular reason for the lack of bond initiation between her and Kenric. She just assumed that they hadn’t reached that mutual understanding for some weird reason and that was why they hadn’t been able to initiate a bond yet.

Damien smiled as he brushed his fingers down her temple to her cheeks before taking hold of her chin as he made her look straight into his still slightly glowing crimson eyes. "Because unlike with Valerius, you haven’t made a connection with Kenric’s second element. You are only connected with his fire but for a bond to bloom between you both, you will need a connection with his second element too."
