"Brother Izaak, you expect me to spare the man who wished to harm Alora!" Magnus chuckled incredulously, his tone tinged with disbelief. He shot a glare at Gabriel, questioning why he had disclosed this matter to Izaak in the first place.

"Prince Izaak compelled me," Gabriel replied, his brows furrowed in frustration at being put in this predicament.

"If you kill him, have you considered the consequences?" Izaak interjected, urging Magnus to think about the aftermath of his actions.

"Why should I care about that?" Magnus exclaimed as he stood up from the couch, his decision was firm. He decided to follow his instincts in the moment – to punish Harris with death.

"Magnus, you cannot do that. You know well how the vampires regard Alora. Interrogate Harris first instead of seeking his life," Izaak urged, attempting to reason with him.

"Izaak, I appreciate your advice, but I have no intention of sparing that bastard," Magnus asserted firmly. He was resolute in his decision to end Harris’s life.

"Bring Harris here," Magnus ordered Tobias, who was also present in the scene. He bowed and was ready to leave when Izaak stopped him.

"You don’t care about the consequences, but I do. Harris Klement won’t be punished to death. This is my order to you," Izaak, being the eldest Vampire prince, used his decision-making authority above Magnus.

He clenched his fists, ready to fight with Izaak. As Magnus pinned his elder brother to the nearest wall, he frowned while his pupil colors changed. "Don’t compel me to fight with you on this. Stay out of my matter," Magnus pronounced.

Izaak held Magnus’s forearm, which was pressed on his neck. He pushed him away using his strength. Magnus quickly balanced himself when Gabriel asked the two princes to stop quarreling with each other. Tobias, too, asked Magnus to calm down.

The small table, which had a vase above it broke down and the vase shattered into pieces. Magnus picked up the candle stand to throw at Izaak, who easily dodged it.

Izaak, too, was ready to throw a wooden chair at Magnus when a familiar voice reverberated in the hall.

"What’s going on here?" Alora loudly said. She was in her blindfold with a basket, filled with flowers, hanging on her forearm. Alora’s personal attendant, Selvina, kept her hand on her arm for support.

"Your Highness, they are fighting like kids. You should look at the condition of the living hall," Gabriel was quick to complain to Alora.

"That’s not needed. We are fine, Sister-in-law," Izaak said in his humble tone.

"Selvina, please hold this," Alora urged as she took off the basket from her forearm. Selvina grabbed it while Alora opened the knots of her blindfold. The scene unfolded before her and she was shocked to see the broken items in the hall.

"Did any of the princes get hurt?" Alora asked.

"No. We are fine," Magnus replied. "You should go upstairs," he stated, rubbing his fingers against his forehead.

"What was the matter? Why did both the princes start such a quarrel?" Alora demanded the explanation behind it.

Izaak glanced at Magnus, who read his thoughts.

"Magnus wants to–"

"I want him to leave my residence," Magnus interrupted his elder brother in the middle.

"You should tell her the truth. After all, Alora should decide what to do with Harris Klement," Izaak didn’t let Magnus keep the truth from Alora.

"What does Prince Izaak mean?" she queried. Her eyes again shifted to Magnus, seeking an answer from her.

"Harris Klement is the one, who instructed you to attack on you. The rogue werewolf was paid to kill you," Magnus briefed her. "I want to punish him to death, but Brother Izaak thinks I shouldn’t do that. Harris belongs to a noble vampire family," he explained.

Alora was stunned to learn the truth.

"That won’t be a wise decision. If Harris dies, the noble vampires will turn against us. We cannot have a conflict with them. I told Magnus to think calmly, but he lost his temper," Izaak complained to Alora.

Magnus couldn’t believe his brother and friend both involved Alora in this. He glared at the two of them.

"Princess Alora, what do you think is better? Should Harris be punished to death or should he be questioned first?" Gabriel asked for her opinion.

"Gabriel, stay quiet." Magnus gritted his teeth at him.

"Many died that day, including the one who served me for many years," Alora said as she lowered her head. She still remembered the cries and screams of the people from that night.

"But you remained unharmed and that is what matters," Izaak said.

"I agree with Prince Izaak," Gabriel supported the eldest prince.

"So, their lives mean nothing to both of you?" Alora questioned them.

"Many die every day," Izaak stated.

"They were my people," Alora replied. "I will leave the decision on Prince Magnus. What he feels is right will happen," she affirmed, looking into Magnus’s eyes. She had faith in her husband. She also wanted justice for the deceased people.

"I cannot believe you are making us fight the nobles," Izaak remarked.

"Stop taunting my wife. I cannot let go of Harris’s wrongdoings. He sent a werewolf to attack the humans, creating tension between the two species. Just because Harris is from a noble family, doesn’t mean his crime should be overlooked," Magnus stated as his decision clearly resounded in his words.

"Tobias, send a summon to Harris Klement. I want to see him urgently," Magnus said and he came to Alora. Giving her the basket back, he told Izaak, "You should stop saving such bastards. You have the authority to change the laws in a better way," he advised Izaak and glared at Gabriel for supporting such a decision.

"Brother Izaak, I will make sure no rift is created between the royals and the nobles. Forgive me, if my words have hurt you," Alora said as she felt Izaak too wanted the good of Magnus.

"Sure. I trust you," Izaak said and left the hall.
