The Vampire Prince's Blindfolded Bride
Chapter 351: Take her away

Chapter 351: Take her away

"Why is she here?" Griffin asked, his voice tinged with confusion as he and Odin watched from above. Their gazes followed Venus as she approached the entrance of the bar, a place strictly reserved for vampires.

"She’s carrying a basket," Griffin noted, narrowing his eyes at the peculiar sight before turning to Odin, seeking an explanation.

"What’s going on?" Griffin pressed, his concern growing.

"I have no idea," Odin replied, his tone equally puzzled as he observed Venus’s unexpected arrival.

Griffin’s expression hardened with suspicion. "Go and send her back. Did you tell her about this place?" he demanded.

Odin furrowed his brows, a mix of concern and irritation clouding his expression as he pushed back his chair. With a nod to Griffin, he stood up, saying, "I’ll be back soon," before making his way toward the bar where Venus had ventured.

Meanwhile, Venus hesitated at the entrance, clutching the basket tightly against her chest as if it could shield her from the unsettling atmosphere. As soon as she crossed the threshold, the vampires inside turned their predatory gazes toward her. Their stares made her breath hitch in fear. Frozen in place, she realized her mistake too late.

"Young lady, have you forgotten the way?" a voice suddenly asked. A middle-aged vampire materialized before her, his sudden appearance causing her to flinch.

His sharp fangs glinted as he spoke, sending a chill down her spine. Instinctively, Venus took a step back, shaking her head in denial.

"I-I’m going that way," Venus stammered, her voice trembling as she attempted to retreat. Panic set in as she turned to flee, but her escape was cut short when another vampire blocked her path, his eyes gleaming with dark amusement.

"A human has entered our domain," the first vampire mused aloud while his tone laced with dark intent. "That means she’s here to offer her blood willingly."

"No, no! Do you even know who I am?" Venus blurted out, desperation creeping into her voice. She grasped at the only lifeline she could think of—her sister’s name.

Her words hung in the air, and for a brief moment, she hoped they might deter the vampires. But the third vampire, who had been silently watching the exchange, finally spoke, his voice dripping with condescension. "Is it important for us to know the identity of a human?" he sneered, clearly unimpressed by her attempt to wield power in a place where she had none.

"I am Princess Alora’s sister," she declared, trying to summon some semblance of authority. "So before you do anything, remember the consequences you’ll face."

The vampires fell into an eerie silence, their collective stillness only heightening Venus’s fear. Then, a slow, mocking laugh broke the quiet. One of the vampires rose from his seat and approached her with a predatory grace having a tall and intimidating appearance.

His sudden, close proximity startled Venus so much that she stumbled backward, falling to the ground. Despite her terror, she managed to keep a firm grip on the basket, preventing its contents from spilling.

The vampire towered over her, his eyes gleaming with a cruel amusement. "You really think Princess Alora’s sister would dare to come here?" he sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. "Do you take us for fools?" He leaned in closer, his fangs just inches from her face, his breath cold and menacing.

Venus’s heart raced, and she tried to scramble away, but the vampire’s gaze held her frozen in place. He continued, his tone turning darker, "Since you’ve entered our domain on your own, I think it’ll be quite enjoyable to make you my slave." His lips curled into a wicked grin.

Venus’s eyes widened in fear, her breath coming in shallow gasps. And then she spotted Odin, standing at the bottom of the stairs. Couldn’t he see that she was desperately in need of his help? Why wasn’t he stepping in?

The vampire, now fully intending to make her his slave, spoke with cruel authority. "Take her away. I’m taking this human to my house as my slave," he declared, turning to leave, confident that no one would dare challenge his claim.

But Venus had had enough. The fear that had paralyzed her moments ago was now burning away, replaced by a fierce, fiery anger. If Odin wouldn’t help her, she would stand up for herself. She straightened, her eyes flashing with defiance as she boldly faced the cunning vampire.

"Go ahead, take me then!" she snapped, her voice cutting through the air with a sharp edge. "When Prince Magnus hears of this, and you receive a hellish punishment, perhaps you’ll think twice before looking down on humans!"

The vampire, Mikael, turned to Venus with a frown, uncertainty flickering in his eyes as he considered the possibility that she might indeed be Alora’s sister. The doubt was enough to make him hesitate, but before he could act further, Odin’s voice sliced through the eerie silence.

"The lady before you is Venus Wilson. Don’t you dare trouble her," Odin commanded, his tone carrying an authority that couldn’t be ignored. In an instant, Odin moved to Venus’s side, his presence suddenly imposing as he faced off with Mikael, the noble vampire.

"Mikael, you should apologize to her," Odin pressed, his voice low and firm.

But Mikael was not one to back down easily. "Miss Wilson is the one who crossed the forbidden boundary first. I’m sparing her life, and that should be enough, Odin," Mikael replied, his voice laced with arrogance as he asserted his authority.

Venus, her anger boiling over, shot a furious glare at Odin. His intervention, though belated, did nothing to soothe the humiliation she had just endured. Without saying another word, she turned on her heel and stormed out of the bar, her footsteps echoing with indignation.

Odin watched her leave, and then turned back to Mikael, his eyes narrowing dangerously. "Keep in mind that Prince Magnus must never find out about this," he warned. With that, Odin quickly followed after Venus.
