Chapter 180: My pure thoughts
Alaric left the room, leaving Magnus and Izaak behind. He wished to be alone for some time.
"Alaric is indeed a fool. He agreed to marry Scarlet when he doesn’t even like her. His mind is filled with Ember. Father never forced any of us for the marriage, but to Alaric he gave such an offer, which he couldn’t refuse," Izaak complained, letting out his frustration. He picked up the wine cup and chugged it down in an instant.
"Because Brother Alaric will never forget Ember if he stays unmarried. Father found it the best opportunity to bring Alaric out of one-sided love," Magnus shared his father’s thoughts with Izaak.
"Love isn’t forced," Izaak said.
"I know. But Brother Alaric needs a force marriage according to Father. If he can live happily, then I have no problem. Ember never even liked our brother as a friend that came to him with such a request," Magnus said, feeling angry. "She was aware that Brother Alaric would sacrifice himself for her happiness," he said with a frown on his forehead.
Izaak couldn’t agree less to his statement. "What if there was no way? Alaric would have taken that curse on him. And I am sure he would not even have regretted about it," he murmured.
"That’s how Brother Alaric is," Magnus remarked, "A good-hearted vampire."
"Which is hard to find," Izaak stated.
"Yes." Magnus finished the wine and set the cup on the table before him. "I am relieved that Brother Alaric will stay safe now. I shall take my leave now. Alora must be waiting for me." He rose to his feet and pivoted on his boots.
"I have to tell you something," Izaak pronounced.
Magnus slightly turned to glance at him. "What is it?" His curiosity piqued.
"Do you remember the human who hid behind me in that slave market?" Izaak asked.
"Hmm. Why? What happened?" Magnus was puzzled seeing Izaak was talking about a human.
"I think she holds my fate," Izaak affirmed. "I saw a vision of her and me," he added.
Magnus ended up smiling. "That’s great, Brother! I hope you find your happiness too." In these past two months, their differences with each other had ended too thanks to Alora.
"Won’t you ask me what I’ve seen? Or did you already read those thoughts in my mind?" Izaak inquired.
"I didn’t read your mind. I only do that in some special circumstances, Brother Izaak," Magnus stated. "And I’m not truly interested in knowing what you’ve seen. I feel that must be a joyful vision for you because you look happy sharing all this with me," he asserted.
"Yes, I do feel joyous. I have no idea why?" Izaak chuckled.
Magnus was unable to believe that Izaak wanted to approach a human. He was so against it once. Alora’s company and friendship had truly changed his brother.
"I want to be happy this time, Magnus. I hope what I saw and what I feel, won’t betray me this time," Izaak proclaimed with a hopeful gaze.
"Oh, you will." Magnus genuinely wanted Izaak to live happily with his other half.
"Thank you for listening to me," Izaak stated and told him he should leave.
Magnus hummed and left for his in-laws house.

Elliot approached his sisters, who were nestled on the swing, with an air of excitement evident in his demeanor. "My dear sisters, I have a splendid news to share," he announced, drawing their attention.
"Has fortune smiled upon you with a promotion?" Venus inquired eagerly, her eyes alight with anticipation.
Elliot chuckled softly and shook his head, prolonging the suspense. "Not quite," he replied with a playful grin.
"Then, what is this delightful news you bring?" she pressed with excitement.
With a joy, Elliot produced a small, ornate envelope from his pocket, holding it aloft for their inspection. "Behold," he declared, "this tiny envelope holds the key to my joy."
"Don’t keep us in suspense." Venus rose and walked to him to take that envelope. However, Elliot quickly retreated back, not wanting to give it to Venus.
"Please be patient," Elliot said.
Venus crossed her arms across her chest. "Sister Alora, look at our brother. He is enjoying seeing our building anticipation," she complained.
"Elliot, just tell us. Don’t keep the mystery for too long," Alora stared this time.
"Your brother got a letter from a young lady," Elliot told them.
"Is that a love letter?" Venus inquired, her curiosity piqued.
"Yes," Elliot confirmed. "When I returned to my desk after lunch, I found it sitting there. She mentioned wanting to approach me at the masquerade ball, but the unexpected commotion prevented her. She says she fell for me at first sight!" His face lit up with a delighted smile.
"Wow! Our brother has caught the eye of a lady," Alora exclaimed, her excitement evident. "That’s wonderful news. So, did she ask you out? Do you know where you’ll take her?"
"She said we should meet tomorrow at the park, which is only open for the nobles," Elliot replied.
"Oh. She chose a crowded place," Venus said. "Well, you need to dress nicely for your meet with this lady. What’s her name?" she then asked.
"Regina Campbell," Elliot replied. "She is the daughter of Royal Inspector as far as I know," he asserted.
"Mother will be thrilled to hear about this," Venus said, clasping her hands together with excitement.
"But nothing is confirmed yet," Elliot cautioned. "This is my first time receiving a love letter, and I don’t even know if Regina will actually like me. After all, it will be our first meeting," he added, his nervousness evident.
"Everything will go smoothly, Elliot. You only need to show what you are truly. Everything that comes from the heart matters a lot," Alora advised her younger brother. She stood up and walked to him, continuing further, "What you truly feel, you need to convey that."
"Is that how Sister Alora win Prince Magnus’s heart?" Venus asked with a smile.
"I think so. He liked my pure thoughts," Alora replied, smiling at her siblings.
