Chapter 150: I’ll accompany you

"Venus, you need not to think negative like that," Elliot told her.

"What more can I possibly do then? I destroyed my own life with my hands," Venus said while keeping her head low.

"Give yourself time. Don’t be harsh on yourself," Elliot suggested. "You should learn from our elder sister. She, too, was called names by everyone, including us. Yet, she didn’t give up hope to live. You have indeed made a lot of mistakes, but as long as you wish to rectify them, you have the chance to live normally like the others," he explained. Other than some good words, he had nothing more to console his sister.

Venus lifted her eyes to look at his brother. "Don’t you hate me? I tarnished your name too," she remarked.

"I think hatred won’t give any solution. I don’t wish to keep negative emotions toward my own family members," Elliot stated. "Our parents will never banish you. Mother is under a lot of stress these days. You should think about Mother before having any such thoughts," he advised her.

Venus hummed as her eyes moistened.

"Thank you, Elliot, for your comforting words. I truly appreciate your kind concern toward me. I needed it," Venus stated, expressing her gratitude not only through her words but her eyes too.

"As your brother, this is the least I can do for you in this tough time. You aren’t alone, Venus," Elliot said, passing a smile to her. He rose to his feet and went to the window to close it. "The air is strong. Don’t catch cold," he showed his concern and closed the window.

Venus let him do it while remaining seated in her place.

"Did you hear Prince Izaak was attacked on the night of the ball in the palace?" Elliot suddenly inquired her.

Venus shook her head. "Is Prince Izaak well now? I thought the palace had a high security. Who attacked the prince? Also, is Alora fine? She is also in the palace," she asserted while furrowing her brows together.

"Alora didn’t tell our parents about it yesterday. Prince Izaak was attacked two days ago. I heard it from a friend. Alora saved Prince Izaak– and he was the second person after Prince Magnus in whose eyes she looked directly," Elliot elaborated to her.

"I couldn’t even ask about it from her. I was in so much pain of my own that I didn’t ask her how could she look at us. However, I heard that a Lunar Goddess revealed to them that Alora’s eyes were always normal. Only we feared her eyes without finding the truth about them," Venus proclaimed as she wiped the tears from the edges of her eyes.

"Exactly. That’s what I regret all the time," Elliot stated. "But we will be good siblings to her. I wish we had had a good time with our sister," he expressed.

"Shall we call home Alora for a few days to stay with us? However, I wonder if that will be possible," Venus murmured.

"After marriage it’s impossible. Moreover, Prince Magnus won’t let her come here. I do feel he still has no faith in us," Elliot remarked.

"You are right," Venus agreed with him. She recalled how much Magnus despised her. He wanted to kill her, just for Alora’s sake, he didn’t take the matter in his own hands.

"However, I have one more idea. We can send a message to Alora asking her if she would be willing to spend time with us. We both can go to the palace then," Elliot asserted.

"You think humans will be allowed in the palace," Venus was doubtful about it.

"Why not? Alora is our big sister. They should not have a problem with it. I will send her a message now," Elliot stated and told Venus that he would see her later at the dinner table.

Tobias handed the letter to Alora telling her it was from Elliot.

"Why did he send me a message at this hour?" Alora got panicked, thinking if everything was well on her phone. She hastily opened the letter and read out the message.

Magnus, who was seated next to her peeped into the letter.

"Your brother and sister want to spend time with you," Magnus said with amusement. "Strange! Are they taking advantage of you now?" he commented.

"Why will they do it?" Alora arched a brow at him and told Magnus not to judge her siblings. She then brightly smiled, "I couldn’t ever spend time with my siblings. I think on Sunday I will go home and be with them."

"Call them here," Magnus said and pointed at the letter, "even Elliot asked if they could come to the palace to see you."

"But don’t you think going home will be much better? I’ll see Mother and Father too," Alora replied.

"You should call all of them here or I’ll accompany you to your home," Magnus opined.

"Eh?" Alora fell short of words for a brief moment. "Fine. You can accompany me then. We will return in the evening then," she affirmed and folded the letter before putting it inside the envelope.

"I think your siblings want something from you. I’m already warning you– not to fulfill any of their wishes," Magnus stated.

"Your Highness, I don’t think they are selfish anymore. Elliot has hardly asked anything from me. He is a hard-working boy. Don’t doubt my brother," Alora proclaimed. She glanced at Tobias and asked him if he could send a message to her brother.

"Sure, Your Highness. I’ll say in the message that you will come home on Sunday," Tobias stated.

"Send Odin there. He will deliver the message. Also, make sure he warns them," Magnus instructed him.

Tobias smiled and bowed to the prince.

Alora scolded Magnus for not believing her siblings. "It seems you don’t believe me either," she murmured.

"I cannot take a risk with you. You know this well," Magnus said with a serious tone. "I have to be cautious for you."
