Chapter 125: A wailing and a agitated woman

Venus placed her hand on her cheek as her eyes remained low.

"You should have thought about Mother before scheming against me. I understand you hate me, you hate the fact that I am living a good life and having a loving husband," Alora pronounced, her frustration evident in her voice.

"Don’t deny that. You think I’m naive, who doesn’t understand people. You were supposed to carry good traits. You weren’t supposed to be like our grandmother. How could you become so evil?" She questioned with disappointment.

Venus kept sobbing, didn’t know what to say anymore. She had destroyed her own life and whatever Alora said about her was absolutely right. This time she didn’t even beg her or faked forgiveness.

"Can I even trust you, Venus? I have no answer for it. I don’t know whom to believe and whom not to. You broke my trust not once but many times. If you couldn’t become a good sister, you should have at least been a good daughter. Our mother would not have to keep her head low in shame," Alora admonished her.

Venus knew it was an end for her. She was definitely wrong this time. For it, she didn’t ask Alora to let her go for the last time. Because now Venus felt that she couldn’t live anymore. She was ready to accept the punishment coming on her way.

Alora walked out of the prison, Magnus trailing behind her. The heavy door closed, leaving Venus once again confined within the dark walls.

Alora covered her eyes with her hands, tears streaming down her face. Magnus gently rested his hand on her shoulder, offering silent support as she allowed herself to release her pent-up emotions.

After some time, when Alora felt better, she told Magnus she needed to see Eugene’s mate, Zinnia.

"You don’t feel well. We can see her later." Magnus wanted to take her out of the prison.

"I want to see her now. I need to correct my sister’s mistakes," Alora stated.

Magnus got weak in front of her request. He wiped her eyes and cheeks. "Do you want water to drink?" he asked.

"No. I’m fine," Alora replied, taking a deep breath.

Magnus took her to the prison, where Zinnia was locked. The guardian soldier told Zinnia to wake up, who was lying on the floor in a corner. As she was informed about the prince and the princess, Zinnia stood up.

"Make sure not to look into my eyes while we converse," Alora asserted.

"Princess Alora’s sister told me about her," Zinnia stated. "I was supposed to kill you as per Venus’s order. Because of you, I lost my mate," she affirmed. It seemed she had no remorse for what she wanted to do.

"I killed Eugene. Do you know why?" Magnus took a step forward. "He wanted to gauge out the eyes of my wife. I don’t care if he was your mate or not. Eugene deserved to die from the beginning because he lied about his real identity," he affirmed.

Zinnia chuckled. "Then, what about me? I had no fault. I only wanted to live with my mate comfortably," she proclaimed.

Magnus chuckled to hear her statement. "I don’t care about that either," he stated.

"Zinnia, you can’t eye a married man. If you truly loved Eugene, you should have had enough guts to come forward and tell everyone about it. You didn’t have to keep your affair and destroy another woman’s life. You believed Eugene just because he was ready to keep you as his mistress, but you didn’t think once that he could have abandoned you one day," Alora explained.

"That would not have happened," Zinnia retorted, her eyes turned deep brown.

"Eugene never wanted to reveal you in front of the world. A mate bond is a purest form of love among werewolves. However, Eugene wanted to use you for his needs. He would have married you instead of my sister if he were innocent. Don’t destroy your life for a man, who wasn’t even ready to fully embrace you," Alora provided her the insight of a practical aspect.

"There is no use in talking to such fools like her," Magnus stated, telling Alora that they should now leave.

Zinnia contemplated as she realized what Alora said wasn’t wrong.

"I’ll give you a chance to live again if you’re willing to leave the path of vengeance. Think about it carefully till the evening. If you wish to die for a useless man, I won’t stop the punishment awaiting you. However, if you start fresh, I’ll help you with that. That’s the best I can do for you, Zinnia," Alora stated and left the prison.

Zinnia lifted her head as she watched Alora step out of the door. She glanced at Magnus, who didn’t say anything to her and walked after his wife.

Approaching Alora, Magnus asked her why she told Zinnia she would forgive her.

"Because that’s the best I can do for a wailing and agitated woman, whose mate’s life ended. I don’t want her to live for Eugene but for herself. I think she deserves a chance," Alora affirmed.

"But I don’t think Zinnia is trustworthy," Magnus said. "You think I shall let her go when she wanted to~" His words trailed off as he didn’t finish the sentence.

"I am safe. Nothing happened to me. I think Zinnia isn’t evil. She truly deserves a chance," Alora told him.

"Well, if this is what you want, I cannot oppose you," Magnus replied with a smile. "Shall we go then?" he arched his eyebrow.

"Of course."

As they moved forward, Magnus said, "I never thought you would slap Venus."

"It was necessary. Venus made a grave mistake," Alora asserted. "It all happened because my grandmother filled her ears constantly. Mother has suffered because of her actions. If only I had opposed my grandmother, this would not have come," she added.

"So, do you wish to forgive Venus?" Magnus queried. "Don’t make a foolish mistake this time. I will follow your decision, but I want you to not forgive Venus," he proclaimed.
