Chapter 105. Abomination 2
Chapter 105: 105. Abomination 2
Leo cracked his neck, rolling his shoulders as he held the Blood Dragger, its red blade glinting in the faint torchlight. The second monstrosity stood before him, its gruesome body convulsing down the hallway, every step causing the floor to shake.
The zombies in their cells bellowed, their growls adding to the mayhem.
Leo’s smirk was gone, replaced by a hard scowl. "Another one?" he growled, his voice raw with irritation. "You’re really pissing me off."
The abomination charged, faster than the first, its blade-arm slashing in a deadly arc that tore through the air. Leo sidestepped, but its speed was relentless—the blade cuts his abdomenslightly, slicing through his coat and drawing a shallow gash.
He gritted his teeth, pain flaring, but didn’t falter. Seizing the moment as the creature’s arm smashed into the ground, Leo swung the Blood Dragger, channeling fire mana into a blazing arc. The blade cleaved through the abomination’s arm, severing it cleanly. Blood sprayed, and the monster roared, its severed limb twitching on the floor.
Leo leapt onto its shoulder, gripping a rusted iron plate bolted to its flesh. He slashed repeatedly at its neck, blood spraying with each strike. Satisfied, he vaulted off as the abomination collapsed, its fall shaking the corridor.
He glanced at the cut on his abdomen, pressing a hand to it, the wound burning but manageable. But then, a sickening sound made him pause.
The severed arm twitches violently, and the abomination stands upright slowly. Flesh tendrils erupted from its stump, writhing and twisting, reconnecting to the blade-arm in seconds. The limb reformed, intact.
Leo’s eyes widened. "Regeneration? That’s cheating," he muttered mockingly, diving aside as its arm swung, slicing a cell bar clean in half. The impact shattered nearby cells, and three zombies spilled out, growling as they charged.
Leo dropped to one knee from the dodge, his gaze turned to the zombies. "Nimbus!" he shouted. The panther erupted from his shadow, tackling one zombie and tearing out its throat with a savage bite.
Another attacked Nimbus, but a quick shadow tendril, called by Leo, stabbed its heart, killing it. The third zombie approached Leo, and Nimbus attacked, killing it in a spurt of blood.
The abomination roared, its blade-arm swinging again, carving into the stone. Leo ran, avoiding it. He needed this to be over. With a flicker of his wrist, dark tendril-like strands sprang out of the earth, wrapping around the abomination’s arms and legs like chains.
The creature snarled as it fought to break free, but Leo poured more mana into the restraints, tightening their grip until the monster’s movements slowed, its desperation palpable.
The creature screamed, blade-arm vibrating as it strained against the tendrils. Leo had his moment. Running forward, he used the tendrils for leverage, launching himself onto the creature’s back and holding its iron plates for balance.
It bucked fiercely, but Leo held it tight, plunging the Blood Dragger into its spine.
A deadly howl shook the hallway. It wasn’t enough. Leo channeled fire mana, his body heating as the dagger flared with molten energy.
With a fierce twist, he drove the dagger deeper, forcing fire mana into the abomination’s body. The effect was instantaneous. Flames burst inside, spreading under its flesh, coursing through joints and wounds. Its regeneration is slowed, burning more quickly than it could heal. Smoke billowed from its mouth. The fire ate it, blackening flesh and bending metal.
Leo leaped away, coming down to crouch as the abomination fell, its body shaking before becoming motionless, embers crackling in the quiet.

Nimbus prowled, blood streaking his fur
Leo stood, panting, the Blood Dagger dripping in his hand. His coat was shredded, stained with blood, the cut on his abdomen stinging.
In the observation room, a quiet silence between Draven, Sylo, and Warden as they watched Leo take down the abominations with scary skill. His moves weren’t wild or showy—just sharp and exact, like killing monsters was easy for him.
Warden’s voice broke through, low and rattled. "How’s a kid fighting like that? Even our best don’t kill so... smooth."
Draven’s jaw tightened, remembering Leo’s taunt about him begging for mercy. The iron door creaked, and he turned to see the bald Wolves leader step in, his two remaining men behind him. "You called us, sir?" the leader growled, voice rough.
Draven’s smile was sharp. "Yes." He stepped closer, voice fake-warm. "Good news, boys. The Ruler survived the first test. Your shot to avenge your brother is here."
The mercenaries’ faces lit up, fists clenching with dark excitement. Draven’s low chuckle filled the room as he nodded to Sylo. She grabbed a small, fancy box from the table and handed it to the bald leader. He flipped it open, showing three gold pills, looks like a candy balls.
Draven’s voice turned cold. "You guys said you liked the last pills, right? These are twice as strong. Use them to end him."
The leader’s grin was wild, eyes full of spite. "We’ll rip him apart, sir." He snapped the box shut and led his men out, the door slamming with a loud bang.
Sylo’s voice cut the silence, sharp with worry. " Why did you give them new pills? Tests showed they make users go crazy, half the test subjects tore themselves up."
Draven laughed. "That’s why they’re perfect. They’ll kill him or die trying. Either way, we learn something."
He turned to Warden, amber eyes blazing. "Get the sixth floor ready for our guest."
Warden nodded, face serious but loyal. "Right away, sir."
On the sixth floor, a huge room held twenty prisoners, their strong bodies different from the prison’s skinny captives. They’re once mercenaries, now sold as slaves, they stood in neat rows, their slave collars shining under flickering torches. Warden faced them, backed by five cult soldiers in white robes.
Warden’s voice boomed. "Slaves, our leader offers you a rare chance." The soldiers opened the box placed on the table, revealing red pills. More cultists entered the room carrying weapons—swords, axes, maces, spears.
Warden continues. "Hunt the guest. Whoever brings me his head walks free from this place."
The mercenaries cheered, their shouts a mix of desperation and hunger for blood. They grabbed weapons, each man holding his tool of death, the hope of freedom stronger than anything.
On the eighth floor, Leo knelt among the dead monsters, breathing hard. He took a healing salve from his item space, slowly opening it and pouring it on the cut across his stomach. The liquid burned the wound like fire, and he growled, teeth clenched, pain hitting hard.
Elynn’s healing was saved for worse moments in this hell—this situation wasn’t bad enough yet. He smashed the empty vial against the wall, gasping, and met Nimbus’s purple eyes, the panther’s worry clear. Leo forced a weak grin. "Don’t look at me like that, buddy. We’re ending this quickly."
In the thick forest around the Pillar of Treachery, a cloaked walking towards it silently, the prison’s sharp towers visible through the forest.
It’s Erin Dranemount, her violet eyes blazed with anger, her silver hair hidden under her hood. Her voice was a low hiss, full of fire. "You’ve gone too far, Leo. I’m getting you out, even if I have to drag you by your damn neck, even if she hates it."
