Chapter 68: Officially pursuing you

They stayed in that position for some time before Jane finally broke the hug but Liam still held her in his hands.

She looked up to him and finally composed herself,

"Liam, I have had a relationship before that the whole country knew about. I devoted myself in the relationship and gave it my all but it seemed like the I was the only one interested in it."

Liam kept quiet as he listened to the girl speak, patiently.

"I planned to give my all to him on our wedding night but the man chose to seek pleasure elsewhere without even battling an eye lid, tell me Liam, true love doesn’t exist right?"

Her eyes were starting to tear up by now but Liam gently stroked her hair, waiting for her to say all that is in her heart.

"I thought he loved me but I realized I was wrong Liam. I don’t want to be loved as Jane Lu but as any other woman in country X. I am sorry Liam, I cannot return your love.. everything started with him promising love but came to an end with him confidently sleeping with someone else as if he did not promise to love, respect and cherish me!"

Her tears were now flowing and Liam finally took action.

He lifted his hand and gently started wiping her tears,

"Listen to me Jane, men are all different. I know what you think, you think that no man can love you without wanting sex even without your consent, right?"

The girl slightly nodded her head listening to his words.

"Well first, I will heal the pain you are suffering deep down your heart and second I am glad he cheated otherwise a beautiful and stunning lady like you would be stuck with such a scumbag."

"Third, I am not in love with you because you are Jane Lu, no. I am in love with you because you are the most amazing lady I have ever come across in my 28 years of existence. Mine was love at first sight Jane."

"Lastly,.." He leaned forward, his nose touching the tip of her nose slightly, his eyes locked to hers and whispered to her,

"I am informing you Jane, that I am officially pursuing you. I want you as the love of my life, My woman, my wife and the mother of our children."

"I do not care what the world has made you view love as but I am going to change that view. I am going to make you feel real love, from a capable man..."

He cut himself short and planted a sweet, gentle kiss on her forehead making the girl close her eyes reflexively.

He gave her another tight hug as he pat her head gently,

"I will not pressure you Jane but neither will I let you say no to me."

He whispered still hugging her.

Liam broke the hug after some minutes and took her hand into his,

"Come on, let us make you something to eat, I am sure you never had anything to eat."

The girl was not in a correct state of mind and just followed Liam, nodding her head to his words. She couldn’t process the fact that Liam confessed and even told her he was now pursuing her!

Liam took her into his penthouse and made her sit on the couch as he went to the kitchen.

He made two bowls of noodles since it was late at night and that was the only light food he had.

Within minutes, they were both done with their meals when Jane took out her phone to check on something.

Liam headed to the kitchen to do the dishes and came back only to find the girl dozing off.

’She must be really tired.’ He thought as he scooped her from the couch and led her to his bedroom.

Just like last time, he took off her shoes, her jewellery and blazer. He untied her hair and let it spread beautifully on his pillow.

He took the comforter and covered her with it. He gave her a kiss on the forehead as he gently stroked her hair.

Liam stood up switched the lights before leaving.

Despite the fact that he has confessed part of his feelings, he couldn’t just sleep in the same bed as her to avoid having her misunderstand him.

He took a quick shower before leaving the room for the second time.

Liam headed for the sofa together with his comforter. The man threw his tired body and within seconds, he was asleep.
