Chapter 325: Pregnant?

"Why have you been acting Moody? What is wrong with you?"

"Oh, I’ve been acting Moody? Just because I’m telling you to do what you are supposed to do? Liam. Huh.... Moody? oh right, Moody, okay."

Jane retorted back with a very pissed expression and Liam couldn’t help but scratch his head as he wondered what on earth was happening.

It had been two months after the appearance banquet and everyone got to know that she had woken up and for the past couple of weeks, Jane had been acting in a very weird manner, making Liam question what was happening in their relationship.

They were just about to get married in the next two months and here she was, acting as if she was having second thoughts. The man just couldn’t hold it in as he was having quite a number of thoughts. He didn’t know what was going to happen, but he didn’t like how their relationship was going.

He sighed as he gave in, proceeding to pamper his wife and of course apologize to her, even though he did not know what he did wrong and the moment Jane saw him caving, she smiled at him as she chased him to buy some food for her.

"But baby. We have enough food in the fridge and enough to last us a lifetime."

"No, I want you to go and buy me a pack of frozen noodles from that... that one restaurant, You know, the one that makes ramen and freezes it? Yes, I want a few packets of that."

"Baby, it’s midnight."

"And so you don’t love me anymore, huh? I knew it. That’s why you’ve been acting very... You.... I think I’m going to call Mom."

Jane immediately started crying as she rushed towards the bedroom, intending to really call her mother but the moment she got there, she stood as she waited for Liam to either come and coax her, or actually pick his car keys and head to get her what she wanted.

At the moment, she started crying because she felt like she had really wronged her husband and wanted to apologize to him, but she didn’t know how she was going to apologize or what she was going to be apologizing for.

"Will he forgive me?"

She questioned herself but immediately heard Liam igniting hiscarr and she smiled widely as she saw her lone husband driving out of their house just to go get her some frozen ramen kits.

It was midnight but she is sure that one of her friends or even her mother is awake, and she was very much correct about her mother being awake because just as she chose to pick her phone and call her mother, she realized that the other side was on a busy state, meaning she speaking to someone else.

"How? My own mother is not considerate. How can she speak to someone at such a time? So what if I have an emergency? How is she going to help me?"

And just like that, Jane was equally mad at her mother, and the innocent woman ended up sneezing because she didn’t know that she had accidentally angered her daughter.

Liam was honestly feeling exhausted mentally and physically as he drove out and he immediately chose to call his mother-in-law because he felt like maybe she is going to understand her own daughter more, because at this point he just couldn’t understand Jane.

He was happy that he found his mother-in-law and that she was nowhere near sleeping. And slowly by slowly, he started encountering all the events to his mother-in-law, but he didn’t notice the sudden quietness on the other end.

"Liam... He noticed her voice was hesitant, but Liam could immediately get a hint of excitement in it, making him wonder what was up with his mother-in-law.

"Yes Mom?"

"When was the last time she had her menses?"

"Oh, I think that was months ag....Oh shoot!!!!"

"Mom..."

"Is... Is it what I think it is?"

"Hmm. Yes, son, Those are the higher chances. I know my daughter very well. She wouldn’t act out of line. You haven’t done anything to her, and the only possible reason is that she is pregnant."

"Wait, have you even been using protection?"

Liam’s eyes widened at this question, and he couldn’t help but just cringe his face because he realized that in all their sexcapades, none of the situation did they even bother to use protection. It could be said that they were overconfident about themselves.

"Your mother would be so happy to hear about this. She really predicted that she was going to have yet another grandchild, and I can see that her predictions and prayers have come true."

"You know what mom? I think I’ll call you later. I...let me rush to the nearby pharmacy. Oh..."

Mrs. Lu felt the fear and excitement all-in-one in Liam’s voice, and she couldn’t help but laugh as she hung up the phone. And the moment she hung up, an incoming call immediately got connected, and she couldn’t help but raise her eyebrow. because what did this couple want from her at such hours of the night?

"Mom! You are really talking to someone else at this time. What if your daughter had an emergency? So you don’t even love your daughter anymore? How can you do this? Mom, I thought I’m your favorite daughter. In fact, I’m your only daughter!"

Jane immediately bombard her mother with a lot of questions and complaints the moment she picked up, and the more she spoke the more Mrs Lu just nodded her head as she laughed because she just didn’t have to say much and could immediately confirm that this young lady is indeed pregnant.

"Baby, how are you doing? Sorry, Mama had some important business. Okay? don’t get mad at me now, love, OK?"

She proceeded to gently coax her pregnant daughter as she was literally laughing inward because she couldn’t help but imagine Jane’s expression at the moment and her mind had already gone to how much shopping she was going to do for her incoming grandchild.

"I’m not accepting your apology, mom, until you make me your signatures tomorrow."

"Yes, yes, yes. I want you to make it how you normally make it. You know, make sure the gravy is so thick. Oh, and make sure the chicken thighs are so, so fat. Like mum, don’t use a thin chicken, that won’t impress me. And...."

And justice like that, mother Lu was kept on the phone for 30 minutes by her daughter as she was given strong instructions on how she was going to make the food, that was apparently going to be used to appease her daughter and have her forgive her.

Mother Lu just laughed inwardly as she recorded the conversation because she really intended to do that for her daughter. Seeing that her pregnancy hormones were all over the place, she couldn’t help but smile fondly as she prepared to take care of her daughter once again.

It could be said that at this moment the Big Six was relaxing because they already got to know about the news that the couple were to get married in the coming months and therefore in the past four months, they had been really preparing, setting up the venue, the dress, everything, and by now everything was almost complete. But looking at the situation with Jane, Mrs. Lu felt like they had to alter the wedding gown a little bit. But that was not going to be a problem. After all, her husband is loaded enough.

"Okay, baby. Mama will do that for you. Now you go rest now. okay, bye."

Mrs Lu slowly replied to her daughter as she immediately hung up because she was not ready to be given a new fresh set of instructions.

Liam, on the other hand, was feeling his hands being so shaky because he felt like what his mother had just told him could be actual truth.

He started aligning the situation and the events with how she behaved when she was pregnant with the twins, and the more he aligned it, the more accurate it became that he couldn’t help but heartily laugh while driving all alone in a lonely road. And if there was any ghost nearby, then it was really wondering what was up with this human.

"I’m going to be a father again!!!"

His mood was immediately lifted as he drove carefully into the frozen kit hotel. It was a hotel that was owned 24/7 due to its services and therefore Liam was able to swiftly get in look at the available Ramen kit choices. And the more he looked at them, the more he felt like he should equally try them. And he actually ended up buying close to 50 kits when he was just supposed to buy around ten.

After that he drove to the nearest convenience store, in the gas station and of course purchased quite a number of foods that he knew enticed her when she was pregnant with the twins and if her change had not changed, then this was going to earn him brownie points before his wife.

And lastly, he drove into a pharmacy and purchased some pregnancy kits, close to five, just for enough accuracy and of course they were going to go to the hospital next after using the tests.

Liam drove home happily, only to notice that their bedroom light was on and he felt that his wife was really piercing her eyes through the car window just to look at him, and he couldn’t help but smile because he realized that his sweetheart was eagerly waiting for him.
