Chapter 316: Dissapointed wife

After a few spins and after creating a beautiful atmosphere, Liam finally let her go as Jane rushed to the kitchen to set the table for both her husband and herself as the twins had gone to rest.

Liam immediately did some little cleaning on himself as he rushed back down in just a pair of gray sweatpants and a white T-shirt alongside some furry gray slippers that made Jane wanted to giggle because she had bought those for themselves but then it looked like her husband diligently wore his part of the bargain.

She carefully set down the food and Liam couldn’t help but smile when he saw how she was carefully serving the carrot rice and some beef Curry, and he couldn’t help but smile because it was a simple meal, but one that was made with utmost love and care, just for him.

As the two were busy digging in, it hit Jane that she had noticed that it was about to be their twins One year birthday and she couldn’t help but feel excited as she stated it to Liam.

"...Hmm...."

"What do you have in plan, baby?"

Liam carefully chose his words because he could tell that his wife wanted to solely do this for her babies and he was not going to interfere. Rather, he was going to just ask what she needed and let her plan the whole thing.

"Coincidentally, it is linking itself to the Yang anniversary...."

Liam’s chewing became slow and steady as he tried to squint his eyes at her, trying to get where she was heading, and he could roughly have an idea of what she wanted to do, but the man didn’t want to disappoint her even though he knew his answer was about to be no.

"Then why don’t we combine the two and I reappear back in public...."

"No."

Liam’s answer was very much quick making Jane pout as she looked at him, trying to wonder why he even gave such an answer in the first place.

"It’s not time for you to appear back in public, baby. You still need to be healing."

"But I have healed enough. Look at me."

Jane complained back as she was determined to actually reappear back in public because one, she felt a little bit bad that her husband was dealing with all the things all at once while she just rested at home, and two, she literally wanted to stamp her claim on Liam and remind the ladies out there that this man was actually taken because she knew that no matter how much Liam stated before the public, a woman will always be a woman and coming from a woman herself, she knew how much the thinking of a woman tends to be, and she was not trying to risk her man whatsoever.

"No, baby, you should rest more. You know, when you appear in public it’s like you’re taking back all the duties and I don’t want you to get that tired."

Liam tried coxing her back because he really wanted to see his wife relaxing. If it was not for the fact that he knew how much Jane loved working, then he would just want to see her resting back at home all the days of their lives as he went out and toiled for their income.

Jane took a deep breath. It seemed like a normal conversation was not going to work, and therefore she just nodded her head as she put aside the topic.

Liam was actually shocked that she just let go of the topic, but easily. But as he wanted to question if there were any hidden intentions or any hidden plans, the crying of their twins immediately made Jane leave the table as she went to pick them, bringing them to the table and proceeding to feed them.

All this while, she didn’t say a word to him and just focused on the twins, making the man realize that maybe she was mad at him and he couldn’t help but sigh as he started thinking on how to appease his woman.

Jane on the other hand was inwardly mad at Liam because she felt like he didn’t want others to know she is awake. Did he love the attention given outside by those women? Furthermore, she had healed enough. Why didn’t he use that statement any time he would toss her around the bed for hours?

When she finished feeding her babies, she did not even bother looking at her husband as she took them back to the room, intending to prepare them for their night as she gave time for the food that they just had to be digested, once again preparing their bath and everything.

Yes, she loved bathing them, especially before they went for the final night sleep because they tend to get sweaty and especially now that it was in a very hot season. Then she did not want to risk her babies smelling nasty, because they didn’t get a good bath or a good clean before they went to sleep. Furthermore, sleeping while being fresh is something that she loved on her babies so much.

On seeing her reaction towards him, Liam just sighed as he headed towards his office, intending to do some work before going to bed.

It took approximately an hour for Jane to deal with everything, including finally singing some lullaby to the kids as they went back to bed.

And when she went back to their master bedroom and realized that it was empty, she couldn’t help but raise her brow as she equally headed for a bath.

Since he said no, she wasn’t going to bother bringing up the topic again, neither was she going to throw a party for the kids, neither was she going to let any social media users know her babies turned one, instead, she was just going to create a solo fun day for the boys alongside their cousins.

She proceeded to put on her nightdress as she sat on the dresser, ready to do her skin care routine but her mind was naturally far away.

Liam, who was busy focusing on his computer, couldn’t help but frown when he realized that she didn’t come to check on him. Normally, when he had some work after they had their Meal, she would come and accompany him, massage him a bit and just give him some comfort but today....

He thought for a while before taking his laptop and some documents as he shut the lights and headed towards their room.

He naturally passed by the twins room to check on them and when he made sure everything was okay, he headed towards their own, only for his nose to be invaded by the various relaxing smells of her skin care products and he couldn’t help but frown deeper when he realized that the woman before the dressing table seemed to be in deep thought, before she snapped out of it and continued with what she was doing.

He watched her carefully take care of her skin as she focused her eyes on herself solely, making him feel uneasy since those beautiful green eyes would always show admiration towards him every night, especially when he took his shirt off.

Now, not only had she not shown any interest, she had not said a word to him since she concluded the topic earlier.

He swallowed a whole lump of saliva as he watched her go about her business and not bothering with him, making him feel uneasy further.

Jane finished her skin care routine and rushed down stairs to pick some bottles of water since she forgot to restock their room fridge, incase any of them needed water during the night.

Naturally she was upset with her husband as she was also thinking of a way to make the twins birthday good in a low-key and minimal stuff and therefore she had no thoughts about the man on the bed whose thoughts were currently running wild.

Jane came back with some bottles and after tidying everything up, she switched off the nights as she switched on the bedside lamp on her side because she despised the darkness.

All this while, she had not said a word to the man beside her and when she covered herself leaving him still sitted on his side, Liam felt like he was losing it. He felt some type of anger being treated this way. He hated it so much. He didn’t like his wife being cold at him and therefore, he immediately shut the laptop and put everything aside as he tried collecting his words on what he was going to say to her and how he was going to appease her.

It took Liam around 15 minutes to finally find the right words and when he called her and received no answer, he felt like she was still ignoring him, only to note her even breathing, telling him that she had long fallen asleep.

Sigh.....

He resigned to fate as he carefully hugged her as he equally drifted to sleep, sigh....he would apologize to her tomorrow then....
