Behind her Jane had the same smirk because she knew who Linda was exactly. She knows Nicole isn’t stupid enough to just pick any girl and bring her.

Before Nicole decided on Linda, she did a thorough background check on her only to realize that there is bad blood between her and Anna Lu. Such a person will perform their duty better than expected.

Jane smiled and continued with her work when an hour later her door slammed open and in came a furious Nicole.

"JANE LU! Did you have to really hide it from me? Why didn’t you tell me?" She wore a very serious expression as she gave Jane a glare, her hands crossed on her chest.

By now Jane already understood she is talking about Peter Li, the man who wanted to molest her. Her assistant is as special as she is, she already found out about the issue.

She sighed, stood up and took Nicole’s hand, leading her to sit on the coach.

"Listen Nicole, you already have an existing trauma and if I told you what happened yesterday, exactly with That Li man writhing on the floor, right next to you, things could be different now." She explained to her, her voice extra sweet and calm.

Nicole couldn’t help but break down, "But what if he.... Jane no woman deserves to undergo what I once went through, it’s a terrible experience and... and... I fear losing you because you helped pick myself up when even my mother and siblings threw me out like trash... you... you..."

She had even started hiccuping recalling all the bitter memories she suffered but a stranger, now her boss came to her aid.

"Sshh...relax Nicole, I am here, okay and with no scratch, I promised to be your family when you told me they kicked you out, I promised to be your friend when you told me you had none so sshh...your Jane is here."

Jane told her in a low voice as she rubbed her back smoothly making her mind voluntarily relax as her tears lessened. In just a few minutes she had cried uncontrollably and could continue breaking down if she had not soothed her.

Nicole eventually cried her all and slept in Jane’s arms. She took off her shoes and positioned her on the coach in a comfortable manner. She went back to her private room and came out with a blanket and a pillow.

After making sure she will rest peacefully, she went back to her executive seat to continue with her work.

This is how weird their relationship is. Despite the fact that they are boss and employee, they consider each other good friends and that is why when Nicole banged her door she did not lash out on her.

For he, Nicole is more like a younger sister she doesn’t have. She promised herself to always take care of her after she saves her.

Jane sighed as she looked at Nicole’s resting figure, the girl got molested by her step brother but no one stood by her side or even helped her, not even her own mom! She saved her when she was running away from her step dad who also had the same intentions towards her. When she saved her, she did not even think about punishing her family but about helping Nicole stand up as a fellow woman. All she thought was how she could help Nicole regain her normal life again.

Even though nothing happened easily, she still managed to try but the smallest things can trigger her emotions.. including a man’s touch.

But she knew exactly what would make Nicole happy, the Lu family members! They really loved and treated Nicole as the yet another princess of the Lu Family.

Jane made a call to her mother informing her that she would be going back to the mansion for the evening meal together with Nicole.

The woman on the other end was of course more than happy! Her two precious girls would be visiting!
