Chapter 246: Next to him

The moment Liam got to his destination, he didn’t bother knocking the door and immediately kicked it, separating the door from it’s hinges.

The men inside were about to declare their authority only to be shut by the cold eyes that pierced directly at them.

"Who.. who are you?" The boss asked in a cautious tone as if he knew not to mess woth the man before him.

"The name’s Viper."

Liam’s cold rely shocked the men as they felt themselves going weak in the knees.

"Th..the.. the.. Viper! What have I done to deserve a visit from the Viper?"

The man and his assistant were shaking to their wits as they could see the cold eyes staring back at them as if telling them to start saying their last prayers.

"Well, for starters, you have been craving somebody you shouldn’t have, and you crossed a boundary that you shouldn’t have dared to." Liam made sure his statements were laced with so much power and authority.

"What do you mean si..eeh.. Viper? wh.. Who? Who have I disturbed? Please just tell me and and I’ll make sure to keep my distance. Just please spare my life.."

Liam stared back at the man. His emotionless eyes calculatedly scanning him from head to toe. He couldn’t even try to decipher the fact that this man dared to make himself his competition, like look at him and then look at the thing before him. He’s not even half of what he is!

"Jane Lu. The future Madame and mistress of the Yang family."

The man’s face went pale as a white sheet of paper as he felt his heart beat going astray.

Liam looked back at the man and chuckled coldly as he took out his gun.

"Jane is not someone you can casually crave. She belongs to the one and only Liam Yang."

Liam completed his statement by directly aiming at the man right knee where he double shot him earning a very loud scream from both the man and the boss.

As if the two bullets on his right knee were not enough, the man went ahead and shot him twice on the left knee, once again, not forgetting his little assistant of a guy.

As he wanted to go further, he watched the man trying to go down on his knees, begging for forgiveness despite the fact that his knees were already incapable.

"Hello, am I speaking to The boss of the Cobra Gang?"

The man quickly nodded, but immediately remembered that this was a voice call and instead replied with a yes, trying to sound strong, despite the fact that he knew he was so weak at the moment.

"OK, I will go straight to the point. I need your help capturing someone. Name your price, name any condition and I will be able to satisfy you."

Liam stood still as he tried to wonder what Edward needed help for. He couldn’t understand who he wanted to kidnap, but his gut told him to continue listening.

The boss, on the other hand.l tried his best to curb his pain, but the cold eyes from Liam immediately made him try to seek some strength as he replied back, grating his teeth out of anger and out of pain.

"Yes, just tell us who you need help, what you need help with, and we will be able to satisfy you."

" OK, I need you to help me capture one lady. I will send you the details. I believe she is a famous person. No one doesn’t know her. She goes by the name of Jane Lu."

"Capture her..." The more Edward continued explaining the more Liam saw red.

Without any thought, he aimed his gun at the phone and immediately fired it, sending the phone flying away from the man, earning a very girlish scream from the man who thought that his fingers were about to see heaven just like his legs.

Without any further action, Liam immediately left the house, but not without giving the man a very similar cold look. The moment he got out, he tried breathing hard. He tried composing himself, but he just couldn’t. Why are people targeting his wife so much?

Everyone. Anywhere. Wishing the absolute nothing but harm to towards her.

Liam sat contemplating in his car on what to do before he took out his phone and sent a message to his assistant. The man knew that he was not in his right mind right now, and the only thing or the only person that is able to calm him down is his woman and so, without a further ado, he ignited his car and immediately sped off towards their house.

The moment he got into the house, he was enveloped by the calmness and homey vibe as he could feel the warmth around the house.

And as if it’s something that has always been there for some reason, Jane’s Vanilla perfume always lingered around the house. Doesn’t matter where it was, her smell would always be around the house. Upon filling his nose with this, upon breathing her sweet smell, the man’s nerves immediately calmed down but that was not enough for him.

He immediately started walking, looking for his wife only to find her in the kitchen Putting on a set of headsets. And dancing around calmly as he cooked.

He immediately strode towards her, enveloping her in a beautiful, warm and tight hug from the back, and because the girl was used to it, she did not even flinch, but instead laid her head back on his shoulder as the man buried his face on the other side of her neck. He couldn’t help but leave tiny kisses as he felt his nerves completely calm down.

" I missed you, my love."

He whispered to her only to receive an equal affirmative response.

Instead of speaking, the couple just stood in the same same position as Jane continued cooking. 5 minutes later, Liam’s hand started loosening, but he did not completely let go of her and the moment he saw her turning off the stove, he immediately spun her around and captured her lips.

His kiss pouring out all the emotions he was feeling at the moment. Anger, desperation, pain. Heartache,love... The kisses were so rough that Jane was really trying hard to keep up with him, but in between failed to keep up with him. And as if she felt like they needed to speak, she put her hands gently on his chest.

Despite the fact that Liam was lost into the kiss, he paid attention to his woman’s feelings. He immediately let go off her lips as their eyes met.

Jane frowned as she continued looking at her man and she could tell that he was not OK.

She gently cupped his face in her hands as she lightly ran her thumb across his cheeks. "What is wrong my love? Why are you so down? Anything bad happened?"

Her voice was so gentle that Liam felt like he was falling in love once again, but Liam felt like all his worries did not matter as long as this woman was right next to him, breathing next to him, eating next to him, sleeping next to him, everything next to him. He contemplated on telling her the truth but decided that nothing good would come out of lying to her and immediately told her everything.

The more he spoke, the more Jane’s face became blank. He was worried for a moment about his wife but instead of her giving a worried look or a sad look, she looked back at him and gave him a bright smile.

" You know what that means, my love? It means that we have to kick some ***. Somebody needs our attention and we are going to give them just what they need and add some little spice at the end."

Liam burst out laughing looking at the woman infront of him. He knew only his woman would still laugh and joke in such a serious situation, and just like that, the atmosphere between the two immediately changed as they settled on their kitchen stools choosing to eat their meals straight from the pot.
