Chapter 229: Love of his life

First of all, he decided to do some mansion hunting because this was going to be where he was going to throw the event. Deep down, he was kind of happy knowing she was pregnant meaning the chances of her forgetting that her birthday was near was 99.99% but he quickly forgot no to judge things because the situation was actually opposite, Jane was very much aware of her own birthday and was going to wait and see what her man had in store for her.

As much as Liam hated it, he knew he needed some assistant from that girl, afterall, he was signing her paycheck, might as well as put her into good use.

He immediately called her intercom and the slutty woman appeared putting on a flirty smile on her face. On seeing that reaction, Liam immediately changed his mind. So what if he paid her? He was not going to let anyone ruin his surprise for her, never!

"Incase anyone important calls, inform me immediately."

That was not what he wanted to say but since he already called her, might as well as make up something.

He took his coat from the rack and immediately left but not after making sure the disgusting woman was out of his office as he left everything open once again, to dispell her smell.

After some little research from his car, he finally found a mansion he knew would suit his woman and he didn’t waste any time before driving towards the mansion’s direction. It was located at the furthest place near the city’s boarder, and as he drove, he realized why the mansion was stated as the most expensive one.

It was located in a very quiet place and from what he saw, there was enough privacy between the neighbouring houses but he was yet to see the inside of the mansion to make his final decision.

He was welcomed by a very professional and good team who were ready to make him purchase the mansion by all means.

After touring the massive mansion, Liam stood at the entrance impressed but he suddenly frowned as he remembered what he had earlier planned to do.

If he set the party here, other people were going to be the first one’s to set foot in their new home which according to him is not appropriate at all. There and then, he immediately dismissed the idea of making this mansion their venue.

After purchasing the multi million mansion and having everything finalized, the mighty boss didn’t want to go back to his office because of his assistant and therefore decided to go visit his wife, his woman, the love of his life.

He passed by a specific mall and bought her her favourite chocolate brand and grapes which was her current obsession.

Liam drove all the way to Lu cooperation and as he walked by, everyone bowed to him, greeting him with the same respect they greeted Jane. It gave him some kind of power knowing that everyone no longer knew him as Liam only but they also knew him as Jane’s man, a very big boost on his ego.

On reaching the top floor, Nicole was no where in sight making him wonder why her ever present assistant was missing when he suddenly remembered Jane telling him that Peter had asked for a sudden leave for Nicole to take her for a vacation.

Liam smiled at the thought of his brother finally finding love as he opened Jane’s office.

Immediately he set foot in her office, her sweet vanilla scent invaded his nose but in a very good and satisfying manner, the sight before him making his heart swell with happiness but the worry on his face couldn’t be erased either.

Jane’s head was resting on her hands which were on the work table, a number of documents below and some, alot infact on her side telling him that she had to review and sign those documents.

He smiled as he headed towards her, careful not to wake her up. Jane is normally a light sleeper who could detect anything easily but the fact that she didn’t even detect his cologne told him she was super tired.

He lightly removed the hair that covered her face and got lost starring at that angelic face. Her beautiful lips, her nose, her naturally long lashes.

Heavens! She didn’t even need make up, infact make up needed her! His line of sight diverted to the documents and his heart slightly clenched in pain.

He knew trying to tame her to reduce her work load wasn’t going to work, she is a hard working woman naturally, whether he liked it or not, she was going to work and his only option therefore is to help her out.

This meant adding his workload but he didn’t care, he was going to do anything and everything for her without battling an eyelid.

He gently pulled her chair back as he placed the items he brought on the desk.

Liam carefully lifted her as he carried her but she didn’t even move throughout the whole journey to her office bedroom making his heart clench in pain.

She is carrying their child but she is still tiring herself out with work. He sighed as he gently placed her on bed.

He took out any jewelry on her to enable her to sleep peacefully, not Forgetting her shoes. After tucking her, he placed a kiss on her forehead but as he was leaving, he got an idea and left his coat on her night stand, next to her jewelry to inform her that he is around the moment she wakes up.

Liam went back to her office and sat down on her chair, his whole demeanor changing into that of a serious business man as he helped his beloved clear any pending document or work that required attention, his face wearing a smile now and then as he inhaled her vanilla scent, it calmed him down and he knew it.
