As the couple completed their daily routine, they both hopped on bed ready to welcome the darkness and await yet another day, a day they both didn’t know was going to be the start of challenges in their peaceful relationship.

"Good morning sir." Liam was in his office working when he heard a coquettish voice greeting him, immediately irritating him but when he looked up, his face immediately wore a very big frown.

There she was, before him stood his assistant Marisa in a very short attire. Let’s not forget how tight her blouse was that he thought her boob’s would spill out any minute. He did not want to even continue assessing her knowing very well the only woman who can excite him even in a sack is Jane.

"Miss Long, state your business and leave." his voice was firm, void of any emotion and yes, super cold making Marisa frown. Was he blind or was he pretending not to see her assets? After a whole hour of unsecessful flirting, she decided to leave and come back later, of course the girl left bored and mad like who knew this man was so cold that she tried checking for any signs of him receiving a boner but Heh.. Nothing!

The moment she stepped out, Liam scrunched his nose in disgust before making sure that every single window was open to drive away the disgusting smell of her perfume but this also made the man wonder, what exactly changed? She has been a good and professional assistant for the past few weeks but suddenly..

The frown on his face didn’t even die, instead it grew further as he tried weighing things on how his assistant suddenly changed.

Either she was a conniving scheming woman who was just after his wealth and title even after knowing that he was engaged or the girl was under someone’s orders because afterall, the couple was not normal, they came from the top families afterall, enemies lurked everywhere.

He knew if his enemies wanted to get him then they could easily do it through his business but now, there was Jane, and his baby who only a few knew about.

He unlocked his phone and stared at his wallpaper while smiling. She is his weakness, the only way his enemies can get to him but what no one knew is that she is more of his strength than his weakness. Right now, he is living for his woman and child, his family and no one was going to destroy his family.

Marissa on the other hand was not going to fail on her mission, at least that was what she was convincing herself on. Initially, all these was a threat from Anna but right now, she needed, no she wanted Liam, his wealth, his body, his heart.. Well.. Maybe his heart. Engaged or not!

She was busy working, more like plotting on how to get to her boss when she suddenly sensed a presence making her look up.

She came face to face with a woman who looked like a mother, definitely not young but she looked young due to what she can guess is her ability to keep herself young. Her eyes were purely ocean blue and her hair..wait.. She looked like the older version of Liam, that is if he was ever a female.

The woman cleared her throat making her avert her eyes in embarrassment from being caught, but she redeemed herself rather real quick and stood up.

"Welcome to Yang cooperation." Her voice was sickly sweet but Heh, the woman before her was not normal at all.

Mother Yang briefly nodded before heading towards Liam’s door.

Marissa immediately rushed after her making the woman turn back giving her a blank and bored look.

"What? Is there a problem with me seeing my own son?"

Marissa quickly shook her head making the woman murmur a quick ’good’ before opening Liam’s office and disappearing inside.

Marissa smiled to herself as Mother Yang disappeared. "Well, she sure isn’t an easy one but lucky for me.. I ain’t normal either."

Liam had his face buried in some document, his hand twirling the pen in his hand in a serious way when he noticed the smell in his office change. He knew that smell, that was his mother’s smell, she always used a strawberry scented perfume.

This smell made him look up only to meet his mom, immediately bringing a huge smile on his face. He might be a grown up and an adult, the coldest and richest man in country X but before his own mother, he suddenly becomes a seven year old.

He immediately stood up and rushed to his mother, where he was enveloped in a heart warming motherly hug, changing his entire mood immediately.

"I missed you mom."

"I missed you too my darling baby."

The mother and son pair took time to show each other love before Mother Yang finally pulled away.

"As much as I would love to hug my baby all day, we have some business to discuss son."

Liam smiled warmly as he ushered her to the couch but as he headed to make her some coffee, the woman immediately declined claiming she was going on her date with her husband right after this making Liam playfully roll his eyes at her before he went and sat next to her.

"You are so quiet and this Friday is going to be my daughter-in-law’s birthday. What is your plan son?"

Liam’s eyes immediately widened hearing his mother making the woman give him a dissapointed look for almost forgetting but her face was immediately replaced with a blooming smile.

"Lucky for you, mom is here to the rescueee! Mine was to remind you son, make this the talk of the whole country. This girl made you complete and also, she is carrying the heir/ heiress of our family! Make her feel like the queen she is son!"

Liam nodded as he smiled, knowing that deep down he was going to do more than that.

"oh and before I forget, I hate your new assistant son. Now byee! The love of my life is waiting!"

The woman sprinted out of his office with a huge smile on her face as she spoke about his father, making the man chuckle as he watched her but he did not ignore her words about his assistant.

"Same mom, same.." he murmured before going back to his seat, prepared to make Friday the best day for his woman.
