Ian smiled for the last time staring at her disappearing figure before wearing back his poker face as he stared at the cameras actually intimidating the camera men who immediately focused on another direction.

In the bathroom, Mary immediately got in and locked the door as she let out a huge sigh of relief.

The girl shut her eyes as she remiscated what exactly happened earlier.

She said to herself as she cleaned up and headed to the sink only to spot a furious Anna coming out of the bathroom.

The girl fixed herself as she wore a poker face and followed Anna behind because her instincts were strongly telling her a drama was about to occur.

Outside, Anna stood, still not being able to recover from Jane’s act earlier. She was trying to calm herself when she spotted Jane at a corner all alone, away from the eyes of the crowd.

The girl smiled wickedly as she headed towards her direction.

"Well well, you just had the guts to ruin my party and steal my limelight?" She spoke as Jane turned back towards her and gave her a smile.

"If that is your way of greeting then good evening to you too."

Anna glared back at her as she pointed towards her,

"Cut the pretence Jane, I know you are trying to act all good but you just want to plant misunderstandings between Edward and I!"

Jane finally stopped smiling and wore her poker business face as she looked back at her.

"I don’t care Anna, go ahead and think what you can but it must pain you to see your enemy shine in your own venue.. tsk."

The girl elegantly sipped her drink but before she could talk further, a loud slap was heard, not surprising Jane.

Anna slapped herself as she gave Jane a wicked look.

"Brother Chen! Cousin slapped me!" Anna said as she tried squeezing her tears out.

"JANE LU!" What did I tell you about harming my fiancee?" An angry voice filled the venue attracting everyone’s attention as Edward went to cover his fiancee.

"Just look at your fiancee, why would I slap her and commit animal abuse? I am also kind incase you never knew." Jane replied with a lazy smile on her lips as she checked out her well polished nails.

Before Edward could say anything further, a loud shriek was heard as Alice ran towards Anna.

"Aaah! My poor daughter! How could you Jane!"

By now, most of them were giving Jane weird looks considering the fact that Anna was really sobing and pregnant at the same time.

Jane was not even bothered as she continued sipping her drink when someone hugged her from behind and a pair of cold arms automatically securing her.

A smile formed on Jane’s lips because she could realize who the person was.

"Did you slap her baby?"

Liam asked, his voice soft but loud enough for everyone to hear.

"No my love, how can I, my hands are even clear."

The girl answered as she lifted her hands and those who had gathered close enough could see her hands clear, compared to a person who has just slapped someone.

"That’s it, she is innocent." Liam pronounced as he was about to leave together with Jane but Alice couldn’t let anything slide, this was her opportunity.

"Hold it right there Mr Yang! I thought you were a wise man but why are you defending such an evil woman? She just slapped her cousin, who is also pregnant! I can’t believe even such a fine man can defend evil before everyone! My daughter is not stupid to slap herself!"

Her voice was super loud, making some people actually start pitying Alice who by now was sobbing uncontrollably in Edward’s hands.

"You should be..." Alice did not finish her statement when claps were heard and everyone turned to the direction only to see Mary clapping and heading towards them as she laughed out loud.

Alice was about to speak once again when Mary raised her hands at her signalling her to shut up.

"I am really wondering how you are in the upper class society when you clearly lack basic knowledge ma’am."

"Pffft! Hahahaha.."

"You see ma’am, instead of acting uncivilized and hurting our ears with your screams and shouts, you could have easily checked the security camera just beside you."

Immediately she dropped these words, the crying Anna suddenly stopped crying as she lifted her head up to really check the camera and when she saw it, her faced immediately paled, something which Mary and Alice easily noticed.

Edward, who actually believed Anna was innocent immediately agreed with Mary.

"She is right! someone immediately play the part to prove my fiancee’s innocence."

Immediately he said that, Anna’s face paled again as Alice came to her rescue.

"No son, there is no need, we all know someone can’t slap themselves..."

"Wait wait, why are you so against it ma’am? You guilty or something because both of your faces are completely paled out...hehehe..."

Mary smiled deeply as she said this, only to earn a glare back from both women. The girl did not stop there but continued adding fuel.

"From those glares, you are guilty and suspicious..i don’t know if.."

She did not finish her statements when the screens lit up and the video started playing, making Anna’s face turn completely pale.

Mary smiled as she stared at the screen and back to the three,
