W-what is it? The female elite crow member with goggles stuttered. An ice chilling sensation running down her spine staring at this thing.

I-it’s a zombie! Another male uttered with wide eyes taking a step back.

This must be one of Bryce experiments. Max frowned staring at tge scientist. He could tell he wasn’t human anymore having the right part of his face slowly falling off. Revealing parts of his white bone along with a rotten stench filling the air.

Argh! The zombie scientist limped towards them increasing it’s pace as it moved. Hesitating a bit max indifferently stared at the incoming threat. His expression calm and gaze sharp fixed on it.

Sir it’s getting close. An elite crow member yelled seeing the creature closing the gap between him and max fast. Now just 7 meters apart from the leader of the elite crows.

Hold your position. Max commanded with a calm look. Blankly staring at him they wanted to refuse but refrained from going against his orders.

Rarr! The male zombie screamed now just 3 meters from max swinging the butcher knife to his head. Standing max was surprisingly still calm face to face with this monster leaving his team more bewildered.

They knew their boss was crazy, probably the most cruel person in Ender’s. But this was just pure madness, even for him.

It’s still slow. Max muttered effortlessly dodging the zombie’s attack. Shifting his body to the side swiftly bringing out the side knife strapped to his leg. Plunging it in the zombie’s skull, instantly killing it.

And weak too. He sighed in frustration seemingly disappointed in the scientist zombie’s performance.

D-did he just rate that thing’s performance? The chubby male elite crow stuttered not believing his eyes.

It seems so. The goggle female responded also in shock.

Alright everyone listen up. Max spoke taking a napkin from his pocket, wiping some off the zombie’s blood off his face.

As you all know this is a zombie. He said pointing to the dead creature on the floor.

Yes we all considered them to be be myths but somehow Bryce has managed to create one. He paused seeing the faces of his team go pale hearing that. Slight inaudible murmurs escaping their mouth.

Or two or who knows how many or what other abominations he has created. With that being said the mission has just changed. Our main objective now is to perform a deep sweep and eliminate all of Bryce experiments.

Yes sir! They nodded understanding his orders.

We split into groups of 5. Plant as many bombs as possible, let’s blow this place to hell.

Moving out Bryce along with the goggle female soldier and the chubby male along with two other male elite crows comprised of team 1. Heading to the south side of the building while the others dispersed to different sections.

I never thought I’d say this but that he’s crazier than I am. A light smile formed on max lips. He knew Bryce was a psychopath but he never thought he’d actually have the balls to go along with this.

Not only was it inhumane but would also spell doom not just for agathe. But the entire world if this spreads throughout the three continents.

Hold. Max gestured in a low tone hearing a crunching sound in front. Just behind some desks stacked together.

Slowly approaching, they were careful not to make any sound fo alert the creature in front. Knowing a bit about them they were usually slow and weak to physical damage so they could easily be dealt with.

But the tricky part was their sharp sense of smell. Especially human flesh or blood.

Reaching the spot in front there was indeed a female zombie behind the desk. Crouched down besides a dead body munching away at it.

Taking out the knife max was about stepping in but stopped seeing another zombie emerge from the open door in front.

Grahh! It let out a low growl slowly approaching them.

Slowly moving back the male zombie lifelessly followed. It’s steps sluggish and predictable.

Taking aim a male soldier was about pulling the trigger but was stopped by max.

No.. we don’t want to draw attention. Hesitating a bit he reluctantly held fire. His fingers still hovering over the trigger button.

Abruptly stopping the male zombie then headed over to the female zombie. Crouching down and biting into the flesh of the body.

Phew.. the chubby male sighed in relief to see the male zombie stop.

Let’s go. Max muttered moving out with the others following him around the two zombies.

We should’ve eliminated them. He frowned annoyed max stopped him when he was green to shoot.

If you want to be a hero then fine go ahead. But don’t you dare jeopardize the entire team with your irrational decision. Max scorned scolding him.

I can’t get through to beta team. There seems to be some sort of interference. Keyes the female with the goggles abruptly said holding a small transmitter in to her ear.

Of course.. he’s blocked all communications. Right before entering there was full signal on the transmitters but now the bars were empty.

Thud! Their gaze was shifted to the side seeing yet another zombie. It was without eyeballs clumsily bumping into stuff.

It probably heading towards the female zombie. Max thought. They were some considerable distance apart from the zombie so it wasn’t meant to smell them.

We advance. Max ordered planting a small yellow box to the wall. Pressing the red button activating the bomb’s timer.

5 minutes.. that’s all we have. Slightly shaking his head he then proceeded towards the door.

Why.. why must we listen to everything you say. Jik the male soldier stopped by max frowned. His head bent downwards, tightly clenching his fist.

Huh? Stan the chubby male muttered.

Why must we always follow him huh? He’s done far more insane stunts than us and nothing was ever done. But we try to make a name and we’re quickly rebuked. Jik fumed anger written all over his face.

Hey.. you’re not thinking straight we need to follow crow’s order and get the hell outta here. He was the closest besides him and knew of his habit to screw things up.

Not responding jik stood there his eyes fixed on the zombie heading backwards.

Ha.. you’re right I wasn’t thinking straight. He sighed with a deep breath.

Yeah I tried to- Stan’s words caught in this throat seeing jik swiftly turn. Firing off a green energy bullet hitting the zombie in it’s head. Instantly killing it.

You moron. Max roared hearing the loud bang sound go off. And they weren’t the only one’s as the next second a swarm of zombies came rushing at them from everywhere.

Grahh..

Shit! Release fire! Max ordered already raining down shots to the incoming zombies.

Bang bang bang!

With every shot a zombie dropped dead with another replacing it.

T-they’re too much. Keyes groaned feeling the recoil of the gun pushing her back a bit with each shot. They had formed a circle defense holding up the line from the enemies.

But it didn’t matter as more zombies came like flies attracted to poop.

I wonder how the others are fairing. A young man with gold razor cut hair muttered. He along with the rest 24 elite crow members were at the opposite section of this grand building.

It’s awfully quiet around here. He thought looking round the dimly lit room. The silence undeniably haunting.

And the flinching shadows at the corners just added more to the lingering fear. Building in the hearts of each of them.

Back in the swampy area, just near the entrance to the hidden ogre settlement layed several dead bodies. All brutally killed and scattered across the muddy field.

"No~" jack uttered, seeing the dead bodies of the people from both kilroi and the goblin village.

"You did this." His eyes lingered on a certain ogre, observing him in front. It wasn’t like any of the rest ogre’s he’d killed. Having a more shorter height, and a more humanoid frame than the rest.

Getting up he froze in his steps, staring at the severed body of a familiar face.

"K-karrie~" he barely uttered in disbelief. He’d seen Yuma besides him when he woke, and confirmed she was still alive. So he expected the same for karrie, but it seems fate had other plans.

"She was a feisty one. Hard to kill I tell ya." The ogre chuckled with a smug grin, further enraging jack.

’Rumble!!’

The ground beneath his feet rumbled, threatening to collapse from the raw force of his jack’s aura. Red veiny lines bulged on his arm, along with the strange black tendrils sprouting from the ground wrapping around him.

They didn’t inflict any damage whatsoever, but instead formed a strange black armour.

"This is going to be interesting." The ogre grinned with a mischievous glint in his eyes. He could clearly feel the impact of Jack’s aura, causing him to skid back a bit.

"I’ll show you feisty." Jack spoke in a coarse gutteral voice. His eyes turning blood red, with the protrusion of a single dark spike from his back.
