Moving swiftly, his steps were steady and calculated. Even though he was walking fast it looked like he was running, chucking up some gusts of wind as he passed by.

Seeing the chief, the locals of kilroi town bowed their heads in fear, praising him. Afraid of their lives, knowing his only rule and what he was capable of.

Ignoring them, he quickly located the individual he was searching for. There, in front at the town’s square, Karrie could be seen purchasing some items from a stall. Handing over some bronze coins to the fox man vendor.

"Thank you." Karrie smiled turning to leave but stopped, feeling a prescence approaching fast.

"What the-" she wasn’t able to turn before lifted by the figure. Which then blazed at eye turning speeds, heading a bit out of the town.

"C-chief?" Her eyes widened a bit, having a clear view now who it was. "What happened? Is the town in danger?"

She worriedly asked looking round, but saw no signs of an immenent threat.

"The town’s fine." Jack calmly spoke with a hurried tone. A wide grin tugging at the corner of his lips, staring at karrie like a edible meal.

’H-he’s smiling at me?’ a look of shock flashed on Karrie’s face, seeing jack smiling at her for reasons unknown.

’Wait.. could it mean- he’s finally giving into my charms?’ She wondered staring at jack’s face. She couldn’t quite understand him, having a complex personality but still. If her suspicions were true, then her hardwork would’ve finally paid off.

"I can’t believe-"

"Quick. Jin’s body, where is it buried?" Jack hurriedly asked without patience, cutting Karrie off. Taken aback Karrie wasn’t expecting those words.

"Hmph!" She scoffed pouting her cheeks in anger. "You’re so- argh!" She screamed in anger, making jack take some few steps back.

"Are you having a heart attack?" He asked checking on her, his tone laced with worry. Not replying Karrie simply scoffed, tints of red appearing in both her cheeks.

"He’s buried at the graveyard, by some few meters behind the small podium you stood earlier." Nodding jack thanked Karrie, even going as far as to pat her head. Earning low purrs from her like a good kitty.

’Swoosh!’ He blurred from sight disappearing from his spot, leaving a trail of dust behind.

"Men~" She sighed slightly shaking her head.

"Maybe am loosing my touch?" She pouted, her face going pale as she slowly made her way back to town.

"Podium.. podium." Jack muttered speeding towards town. He vividly remembered the location of the podium at the town center, as that was were his inauguration was held.

"Found it!" He smiled, locating the small graveyard behind the podium, some meters from the buildings in town.

"Shit! I forgot to ask her which one." Jack cursed at his foolishness. He was too adamant on finding Jin’s body, he’d forgotten to ask Karrie where the exact spot he was buried was.

Luckily, though there were stones with writings on the graves he’d passed by, with the individual name. And within 10 seconds he’d located Jin’s grave.

It was dug out like the rest and covered back with dirt. Nothing to fancy or such, which made him wonder if they even made a casket for him?

Slightly shaking his head he got to work, picking up a shovel he found nearby digging back open Jin’s grave. With his terrifying strength, it was easy work digging back the grave. His hands moving constantly with such force, chucking the piles of sand away.

"D-dear god, he’s disturbing the dead." One out of the two orcs stuttered in fear, watching jack. They were grave diggers here, occasionally digging out graves in case of the unfortunate.

It was a harsh world and death was real, but at least there was somewhat peace in the afterlife. Well, not if you go disturbing the dead!

"D-dont stare at him. we mustn’t question his will or we’ll be the one’s below." The other orc stuttered, pulling his friend by the arm walking away. Afraid staying here any longer would the end of them.

"Idiots." Jack was long aware of the two orcs but he ignored them, having no interest. His main objective was Jin and jin alone. Not having to waste his time on smaller fries, like these dead bodies here.

’There you are.’ Jack chuckled, staring down at the rotting corpse covered in dirt. It’s flesh was a mess, infested by maggots that fed it. A foul stench clouded the dense foggy air, that would make one throw up couple of times, but jack was unfazed. Already being an undead, he was accustomed to such stench.

"Here goes nothing." He muttered a bit anxious and nervous. To summon back a dead body wasn’t an easy task, which he knew quite well. And the possibility of never summoning such was also heartbreaking.

Stretching his hand forth, the system notification popped up in his view.

[Would user like to summon Jin tallen?]

[Yes, No]

"Yes." He boldly spoke steeling his resolve. The system screen then changed into that of summoning. The red gem glowed a bright red ethereal light, enveloping Jin’s body. And he could feel the power radiating from the gem.

’It’s just like absorbing life gems.’ He inwardly thought, sensing some similarities. He only had brief info on life gems from his system. Being as the name implied contained power of life in them, able to heal an individual on the brink of death instantly.

But he wasn’t sure about dead people, still not knowing the life gem full potentials yet. But the idea was absurd as it was plausible.

[Failed to summon Jin tallen]

The system notification popped up in his view, with the error ding sound.

"Damn!" Jack frowned, seeing the red light slowly fading from Jin’s body. Indicating his first trail resulted in a heart wrenching failure.

Taking some deep breaths he steadied himself, attempting again. Still having two tries left.

Like before the ring pulsed with power, the red ethereal light enveloping Jin’s body. Jack could feel the immense pressure on the ring, assaulting his mind and body.

He fought the urge to hold on, but the sheer force of an SSS ranked ring overpowered him by a margin.

[Failure in summoning Jin tallen!]

"Damn!" Jack yelled in frustration kicking the stone. Exploding upon impact, blasting it into smaller bits.

"M-maybe I can’t do this." He sighed sitting on the floor. At first, he’d thought it was easy with the way the system described it, but now he knew how tough it was to summon a body.

It required physical power, to withstand the force emitting from the summoners ring. But it took a huge toll on the mental capacity. As it required a lot of focus, determination, and resolve. Also a high IQ and strong will.

[You can dimwit, you just have to believe in yourself.] The system calmly said in an uplifting tone.

"Believe? I believed in myself and wasted two tries, now left with one!" Jack retorded in anger gripping his head tightly.

"If I can’t summon Jin then what’s the point of trying?" He said in a downcast tone, lowering his head to the floor.

[Look, you might be a dimwit but if there’s one thing I know you have a strong will. Most individuals, opportuned with the opportunity you have aren’t half as smart as you. You’ve reached level 17 and achieved so much in few days. Despite faced with the constant fear of dying. Now if that isn’t strong will, then you’re a bigger dimwit than I thought.]

Listening to his system jack felt somewhat relieve.

"Thanks system, I needed that." He smiled, standing up with a new resolve burning brightly in his heart.

[That’s why am here idiot. Now show that ring who’s boss!] His system cheered to which he nodded. His eyes locked onto Jin’s body, like a predator.

"You got this~" Calming himself he stretched his hand forward, activating the ring’s effect.

[Summoning...]

The same red light grapsed Jin’s body spreading all over it. Gritting his teeth jack gave it his all, pushing forward despite the challenges.

[A requirement of 100 chaos energy is needed to summon Jin tallen.]

[Would user like to proceed?]

[Yes, No]

The system notification popped up in his view. Not alerting him of the summoning failure, but an entirely different screen.

’A hundred chaos energy for Jin’s summoning.’ Jack knew the higher the enemy killed, the greater the chaos energy required. But still, he didn’t expect it to take all of his chaos energy.

"Yes." The screen then disappeared, with the pressure becoming more unbearable. Gritting his teeth he persevered against the huge dominating pressure, hitting him like tidal waves. Getting stronger with each passing second.

’Boom!’ A small explosion occured pushing jack back a bit. Waves of wind were sent out, with the ground shaking a bit.

’D-did it work?’ Jack wondered seeing the red light fading. When this happened, it usually meant his summoning failed or it worked.

[Ding! User has successfully summoned Jin tallen]

[+50 dominion points for first summoning!]

A wide grin crept onto jack’s face reading the system notification.

"Growl!" A low growl garned his attention. Looking he could see Jin, a once dead corpse now standing on his two feets. The foxman’s eye darting at him, with a complicated expression.

’Does he remember what happened?’ Jack thought, as when he’d died he still remembered his past. But he wasn’t sure it was the case for all corpses.

"Growl!" Letting out another low growl, Jin dragged his body towards jack. His movements sluggish, and steps slow like a zombie. Kinda like the first time jack reincarnated as an undead.

Reaching, Jin stared blankly at jack as if contemplating something.

"Ma-ster." He spoke in a guttural voice void of life, going on his knees. His head bowed down.
