"This is.. insane!" Jack greedily grinned staring at his profile. He could see a lot had changed, from his class becoming f rank, to his stats, basically everything!!

Just his aura alone was a whooping 3800 points. Surpassing all the his overall stats, boosting his presence greatly.

’I knew I was strong but this is just terrifying.’ He chuckled lightly, amused at his profile which was no doubt packing.

"System, are you sure you aren’t having a glitch?" Jack asked acting concerned, trying to tease his system.

[One day dimwit, I’ll have your head!] The system roared, to which jack shrugged off it’s empty threats. His eyes then hovering on the holographic screen, with black background and red writing.

’it’s still locked.’ Jack frowned, seeing the system shop and store still locked. His heart skipped some beats, hoping his idea of the system having a glitch didn’t coming to reality.

"System.. y-you’re not having a glitch right?" He wryly smiled.

[Hmm.. am not sure, let me ask me developers. Oh wait, You’re a dimwit!] The system laughed heartily, getting revenge on jack.

[Please consume life gems to enable system efficiency!]

"Phew~" jack sighed in relief seeing the last two system notifications. He’d almost forgotten he still had two life gems, given to him by that strange horse.

Bringing them out from his pockets, he could feel the power radiating in this tiny gems. Their size wasn’t great to say the least, like a fingernail. But they pulsed with power, emitting a faint red ethereal glow.

"Here goes nothing." Clenching them tightly in his palm, he allowed the system do it’s work.

’Crack!’ The gems cracked, breaking into tiny pieces in his hand.

Just like before a soothing sensation enveloped him. The power in the gems transferring into him, boosting his overall stats.

"That was refreshing." He smiled thinking it was over.

"Argh!" Jack screamed, feeling a sharp stinging pain assault his head. It didn’t stop there though, as the bones in his body cracked. Twisting furiously, breaking apart then joining back together.

His blood became hot, boiling at astonishing heights. Visible faint smoke excluding from him, like a steam train puffing air from it’s vent.

"W-what th-e he-ll." Jack could barely utter squirming in pain. His muscles clenched, becoming stiff like wood. His veins on displaying bulging all over his body, pulsing with a red ethereal glow. Which then turned a shade of dark blue, then purple, then black.

Gritting his teeth, jack fought the urge not to pass out, as his vision was blurry. His eye lids slowly fluttering with the urge to close. Unable to keep up with the excruciating pain he fell to the floor, which only made matters worse for him.

[Incredible.] The system uttered in his head with a tinge of excitement. Like a deranged scientist, watching his subject break pass it’s limit.

The system notification popped up in his view, but he couldn’t read it properly. Conjured up in a whole new world of pain.

’i-it should be more than 30minutes now.’ He reasoned, not knowing how long he’d been in this state.

[It’s just 3 minutes.] The system scoffed with a mocking chuckle, making jack’s face go pale.

"T-three freak-ing minutes!" He tried to speak, but only barely stuttered in a low tone. He’d thought it’d been half an hour he was in this condition. But as always, his system always had it’s ways of crushing his dreams.

’i might pass out, or worse.. die if this continued.’ The pain was so immense and undescribable. That he’d choose dying, as a remedy out of this excruciating pain.

Just when all hope seemed lost and he was about passing out, the system notification popped up in his head.

Several notifications popped up in view, all to which he dismissed as unimportant. Scrolling down, his eyes lingered on the next two system notifications.

"Primordial Chaos ability?" His breath caught a bit, staring at the translucent screen.

Abilities varied depending on an individual affinity. Some being elemental, others spatial, and so on. Like vampires had abilities related to blood, mermaids abilities to water and so on.

But, sometimes according to the few fantasy novels he’d read. MC’s could awaken a unique ability, that would eventually lead to his path to power.

’i can hear you grinning you know..’ jack inwardly said getting up, the pain relieving him. Dusting himself up, he then sat on the bed his back leaning against wall.

[He-he-he.] The system didn’t respond, instead letting out an eerie chuckle.

Shrugging, jack wanted to inquire more from his system about the primordial chaos ability but stopped, seeing a small Icon below the name.

’Must be it’s description icon.’ The icon wasn’t strange to him, having played some few games. And his system was technically like a game, so he knew his way around.

He guessed one of them to be male, and the other female.

At first he’d thought the latter was crazy, playing on his intelligence. But now, he’d confirmed there were things beyond comprehension.
