’What’s she doing?’ Jack thought seeing Yuma standing unscathed, besides this goblin on the horse. He’d expected her to stay according to plan, handling the north side.

[What do you think dimwit? She’s betrayed you just like I knew all along.] His system let out an I told you scoff, already foresighting this scene.

’Betrayed..’ a frown formed on jack’s face as his blood boiled. His memory went back to Agathe, during the time he’d thought he was betrayed by Kelly. But luckily turned out to be a sentinel in disguise.

All his life he’d been cheated, bullied and abused, Kelly was the only righteous person he saw in the cold streets of harum city. So it would’ve destroyed him completely if it was truly her.

"You’re the goblin king?" Jack calmly asked. Looking at him, there wasn’t any distinct features he could spot. Having green skin and same frame as the other goblins.

To be honest jack would’ve thought this was just any other rank f goblin, pretending to be the goblin king. As even his aura was concealed more than kabobs, and the two goblin knights.

"Yes, scared?" The goblin nodded slightly with a proud smirk.

"No." jack sighed shaking his head a bit. "I just expected more than.. this." A light grin escaped his lips, seeing the goblin face contort into a frown.

Ignoring the fuming goblin, his eyes then shifted to a prescence he found more captivating. It was none other than this strange dark horse with white eyes.

Not only was it’s skin alluring, but also it’s aura. Not powerful or weak but emitting a cold sensation. Not like the feeling of ice, but far from it. Nothing like he’d ever sensed before.

’Why do you seem so familiar.’ Jack wondered intently staring at the horse, trying to recall where he knew this beast from.

"What happened? Cat cut your tongue." Yuma teased with a playful grin breaking the silence.

"What are you doing?" Jack frowned not understanding Yuma’s motives. He’d felt the bloodlust potruding from her earlier, in the mating hall. During their plan to annihilate the goblin king. But now she’d switched sides.

"What do you think moron? Did you really think I’d be stupid enough to side with you.. a worthless trash over my king." She scoffed puffing her cheeks a bit.

"Haha. Of course, I never really did have any use for you. As always, the bitch casted slave returns to her master." Jack said making Yuma’s eye twitch.

"W-what did you just call me?" She stuttered in anger her fist clenched tightly.

Tilting his head a bit, a mocking smirk plastered on jack’s face seeing her enraged. "I called you a trash casted slave. Did I miss anything?"

"Bastard!" She screamed, her aura bursting out from her sending ripples in the dust. Without warning she shot forward, equipping the two daggers in her hand. The distance was closed between her and jack in a flash. The dagger just inches away from Jack’s neck.

"Stop!" A voice containing much power pierced the air, followed by a dark fog hitting Yuma to the side.

’What was that?’ Jack’s pupil contradicted a bit, witnessing that attack. He didn’t know if it was a skill or ability. But it’d managed to catch his attention.

[D-dark magic?] The system stuttered in a pale voice, and jack could sense the direness in it’s tone.

’Dark magic, as in forbidden magic in occults and stuff?’

[Yes, but containing much more darker energy. Jack y-you have to be extremely careful. This goblin, it’s different from the others.] The system warned, it’s voice alone speaking volumes on how deadly this goblin was.

"I didn’t ask you to move, know your place casted." The goblin king snarled his eyes then shifted to jack.

"I also didn’t expect an imbecile to be capable of causing this much chaos." He smiled gazing at Jack’s missing left arm.

"Maybe you underestimate me." Jack retorded.

"Indeed I did, my mistake. Seeing you’re still alive you got through my elite knights. Which means you’re not what you appear to be." Tapping his leg the horse moved, calmly making it’s way to jack. Standing some feet’s from him.

"It would be an insult to my title to kill you in this condition." Small dark mist swirled in it’s palm. The atmosphere changing in response, to whatever this goblin was conjuring.

Attempting to get up the bones in his legs snapped giving out. He was still regenerating, but at a snail’s pace.

’What’s it doing?’ Jack wondered perplexed, he knew the goblin king didn’t want to kill him or he would’ve already been dead. But still.. this strange phenomenal was unsettling to him.

"Here, this should do the trick." In front, an item conjured from the mist floated towards him. It was red in colour, like the same dull red gem he’d seen at the tip of hades staff but smaller.

[Don’t resist. It’s a gem containing fragments of energy from the life gem.] Inwardly nodding he didn’t resist, instead allowing the gem to enter his body.

[Congratulations on absorbing a fragment of life from the life gem.]

[Hp and body state have been fully restored!]

[Blood decay skill has levelled up to F rank!]

[Collected 1/5 fragments of life gem to unlock primary ability.]

[Regenerating..]

"Mhm." He grunted, feeling the effects of the small finger sized dull red gem kick in immediately. He could feel his body vibrating all over like a vending machine.

The skin on the joint of his shoulder joining together, creating new flesh. Even the broken bones in parts of his body were being restructured, with a new one growing where his left arm was.

’Incredible.’ Was the only word jack could think of witnessing such feet.

"You should’ve fully regenerated in a couple of minutes. Then I can kill you at your full potential."

Jack could tell he wasn’t joking saying those words but still, something about the goblin king just seemed off.

’Swoosh.’ An object flew fast in the air, heading in a straight line towards the goblin king’s side. Before it reached though it was repelled away, crashing into some sort of invincible barrier.

"Shit, that was my chance." Yuma gritted her teeth having missed. She was aiming to kill the goblin king, while he was distracted with that swift move.

"Hahaha!! Of course.. the fucking casted whore will always be a little slut like her mother." He grinned evily. Toying on her feelings and it worked, as she lost it.

’Bam!’ She shot forward leaping a bit in the air swinging her dagger. Some meters from the goblin king, she crashed into the same invisible barrier. Sending her flying backwards.

"Argh!" She let out a battle cry boldly heading forward. The invisible forcefield deflected all her attacks but she didn’t care. Continuing to slash madly like a psycho.

"Futile." Waving his hand Yuma’s body was lifted up in the air. Flicking his wrist he sent her to the side, crashing to some half destroyed stalls.

Flicking his wrist again she floated fast to the other side. Her body impacting some logs of wood.

[Dark magic and telekinesis. How is this even possible for a goblin of it’s callibre..] the system uttered with a shocked voice. Not expecting this goblin to be able to have, and control two abilities at the same time.

’He’s going to kill her.’ Jack could only watch, as the goblin king casually flicked his wrist. Sending Yuma’s body in all directions, crashing into objects.

It was true she’d betrayed him for a brief moment. But he couldn’t tell if it was real, or just to get the goblin king to let his guard down.

Her body was now a mess bloodied and battered. Several wooden shards clinging to her skin, from the objects she collided with.

"What should I do with you?" He thought placing his hand to his chin. He didn’t want to outright kill her, as that would be too simple.

"I know.." the goblin king’s lip curved upwards. Waving his hand, Yuma then floated to the the wooden makeshift bridge.

"Time to die." Raising his hand up, the wooden spikes plunged into the ground holding the bridge shook violently. And like a command, they were uprooted from the depths of the deep cliff. Filled with multiple sharp rock spikes.

’Bang!’ The last wooden spike erupted from the ground with a bang, followed by a low rumbling getting louder by the second. With nothing left holding it, the makeshift bridge splitted into smaller bits collapsing.

"Oh.. now this is interesting." The goblin king grinned seeing jack dash from his spot, across the bridge saving Yuma to the other end.

"Know this.. you’re still my enemy. I just repayed the favour." He whispered laying her to the ground. Turning, he could see the goblin king at the edge of the bridge.

’What’s he doing?’ Jack wondered seeing the goblin king staring at him. There was no way he could possibly reach them now, as the bridge was destroyed. With no other means of coming over.

"Go!" He commanded kicking the horse. Neighing, visible white smoke emitted from the horses eyes as it lept off the cliff. Now one would expected both to fall to their death, since horses couldn’t fly. But no! It was the very opposite.

Before his very eyes, jack witnessed the horse walking on air without wings.
