Chapter 78: Chapter 78 Kneel Down For Me

Bessie rushed back overnight from Switzerland. She had just gotten off the plane and didn’t look for Jocelyn, nor did she notify anyone in her family. As soon as she landed, she headed straight to the Leclair estate to settle the score with Delphine.

Everyone in the South Seas knows that Jocelyn is the man she had her eyes on. And yet, that bitch Delphine dared to steal him from her. A hint of malice flashed through Bessie’s eyes.

Delphine got hit a few times and her face turned grim. She stepped barefoot onto the floor, pushed Bessie aside, and turned to run out.

Bessie hadn’t expected her to fight back. Caught off guard, she fell to the ground and couldn’t get up for a moment. Enraged and humiliated, she started crying and screaming, "Delphine, how dare you push me? Ahhhhh—"

Bessie’s hysterical screams instantly alarmed everyone at the Leclair estate.

The entire estate descended into chaos.

Bessie, the pampered princess of the Leclair family, had always been spoiled and willful. The number of times Delphine had suffered at her hands—both major and minor—was countless.

When Delphine saw Bessie suddenly return, she immediately knew it was because of the rumors.

She pushed Bessie aside and instinctively wanted to run. The state of this household was already a complete mess.

Stone was prone to violent outbursts and had started abusing the family again. Ignatius had flown into an uncontrollable rage yesterday and tormented her so brutally that Beatrice was still bedridden. Now with Bessie back, Delphine felt as though her days ahead would only get worse.

Bessie got up, her face contorted with rage, and chased after her. She snapped at the servants, "Don’t any of you dare let her get away!"

Delphine was cornered in a side hall, her clothes soaked, her face as pale as a ghost.

Bessie came down the stairs and in a fit of anger began hurling whatever she could grab at Delphine. The side hall contained treasures from the Master’s personal collection—priceless Ming and Qing dynasty porcelain—and now Bessie was smashing them to pieces as if they were glass. Delphine’s face grew even paler, and the servants looked on in terror, their expressions frozen with fear.

These were invaluable treasures, the kind of priceless artifacts money simply couldn’t buy anymore.

The commotion quickly drew Stone’s attention.

Stone came out wielding a whip, his bloodshot eyes glowing red. When he saw the side hall completely destroyed, he lashed the whip against the wall with a fierce crack and barked, "Are you all trying to turn the world upside down?"

Bessie flinched as soon as she saw her uncle emerge in his sleepwear, whip in hand. Then she started crying, "Uncle, you must beat Delphine to death today! She’s shameless! She stole my boyfriend!"

Stone, already volatile of late, felt his violent impulses boiling over. Just yesterday, he had been whipping Beatrice, only to have Ignatius barge in midway and stop him. Now, taking in the chaos of this ruined household, his face darkened ominously as his ruthless gaze locked onto the burdensome outsider in the side hall.

Delphine shuddered under his oppressive glare, a terrible sense of foreboding washing over her.

Stone couldn’t possibly plan to whip her, could he?

In the side hall, Stone raised his whip and bellowed angrily at Delphine, "Kneel. Now."

Bessie, standing triumphantly amidst the shattered porcelain fragments, sneered coldly, "Uncle, I think this bitch doesn’t even respect you."

Delphine didn’t move. Stone’s mood was clearly unstable, his temper explosive, as if he had completely lost control. Eight or nine years—how had Beatrice spent such a long time with this man, who only knew how to inflict pain? She must have been insane.

When Stone saw her still standing tall, refusing to kneel, his face twisted with shame and fury. He stormed over with his whip and lashed out.

Delphine’s expression changed instantly. She darted behind the sofa, her entire body trembling as a cold sweat covered her. She scrambled to think of a way out while shouting angrily, "You can’t hit me! I’m just staying at the Leclair estate. I’m not part of your family!"
