The Throne Is Mine
Chapter 297

Chapter 297: Chapter 297

Amelia stood back by the castle gates with Sadie, Gina, Edith, and Agramon who was surprisingly quiet. As the people reluctantly entered the gates, confused by the sight of their former princess standing calmly as the kingdom was being attacked, Amelia kept her eyes on Agramon.

She could not stop herself from being curious about why the devil punished him and why he was suddenly behaving. She did not have many run-ins with Agramon in the Blackwell castle nor were there any moments when he made an attempt to end her life, that she knew of.

Agramon wasn’t much of a threat so like Amelia feared he would be when Killian told her to watch out for him. He had not done much compared to the men in the Blackwell castle.

’It must be because Killian was always around me. Is he really afraid of Killian? Or is there something else I have missed?’ She wondered.

"I can feel you staring at me, princess," Agramon said, not turning his gaze away from the humans entering the castle.

"Are you in love with my husband?" Amelia took the chance to ask.

Agramon started to hate her a bit more than normal for the ridiculous question. "Have you lost your mind?"

"I am aware that two men being together is not an issue for demons like it would be here. You hate him, yet you don’t attack. You want the throne, yet when the devil presented you with the chance to fight Killian one on one, you did nothing and to end it, I had to offer proving myself as queen to get you to shut up for a month. I still do not think you actually want to be king so now I am starting to think you secretly love my husband," said Amelia.

"I honestly wouldn’t be angry with you if you are. He annoys you at first, but then you can’t help loving him in the end. He is-"

"Stop talking or I will kill you. I do not care for your husband in any way. I wish to see him dead. He will return to a dead wife if you continue to speak," Agramon said, turning to face Amelia, revealing that his eyes were glowing red. It was a great insult to assume that loved Killian when he wanted the man dead.

It was a feud that had been going on far longer than the princess and many of her relatives were alive.

Amelia chuckled. Agramon’s skill was fear yet he failed at scaring her. "You cannot kill me. Putting the deal we have made aside, you cannot kill me with the queen of the underworld around. If you disobey her, you will have to deal with the devil, and seeing that the mark around your neck has not healed, means you are not strong enough to go against the devil. Give it a rest Agramon."

"Your kind has always been too cocky. It is why you always end up dead. You should keep your mouth shut-"

"I will do want I want, Agramon. And it is not princess. It is Queen Aemlia Bune. While you are in this world, I am your queen. You can go back down to the underworld if you do not like it. Lilith!" Amelia called to Lilith as soon as she landed. "There is a long line entering the castle so it is time for us to go back to the throne room so I can start picking out the weeds."

Amelia turned around to go back inside the castle gates. If she wanted to be able to rest when night fell upon the kingdom, she had to start picking out the people the kingdom could do without, and she needed to start feeding the demons as she promised them she would.

Edith and Gina were quick to follow Amelia while Lilith hung back with Agramon.

"Whatever it is you are planning to do to her, forget about it. It is not every day that I find someone who entertains me. I only have the dead and demons to speak to when Lucifer is busy. Do not ruin my fun, Agramon. You do not want to upset me because then you will upset Lucifer and we all know how that goes. Fly back down to the underworld. You are not needed here," Lilith said and walked back into the castle.

"I have made a deal with the princess," he reminded Lilith.

Lilith smiled, creating a hissing sound.

In the blink of an eye, she was back standing before Agramon, grabbing his neck, and pushing him until he reached a wall for him to quietly listen to her.

"She is no longer a princess. She is the queen. You are doing the same shit you did when I first started my relationship with Lucifer. The constant disrespect and talking of picking another queen. I know that you like to get into the ears of the other demons about it. Get into the ears of the seven sins to convince them they need a new queen. I am growing tired of this," Lilith said, tightening her hold on him.

Agramon was not threatened by her actions. The queen was the same as Amelia. She did not hold the power to harm him. "I am not leaving and you should release me. You are only wasting your energy by doing this."

"You are right that I would be wasting my energy. I shouldn’t when I am helping Amelia. That is why I have called for someone else to deal with you. My husband is quite connected to my emotions you see," Lilith said, letting go of Agramon and moving away from him.

Her smile widened when the ground began to shake under her and Agramon. Unlike the rest of the demons, Lucifer did not need to go through a gate to come out of the underworld. He could make one appear wherever he wanted.

"Agramon," Lucifer’s distorted voice was heard on the other side. "I warned you not to fuck up this day."

"He has not heeded your warning," Lilith said, holding over to try to see her husband. "I miss you, dear husband. I hope that you are taking care of Cerberus. I have been having a hard time here with keeping Amelia safe. Not only from the humans here, but I have to worry about what Agramon will do."

Agramon did not like where this was going. He had done something yet for Lilith to be so concerned for Amelia. "I will do nothing-"

"You know as well as I do that if Killian senses something has happened to Amelia, he will turn around to make his way here to see her. We can not have him leave the army that he is leading. It will throw us off the time that we planned to have most of the land in our hands. There is too much for me to worry about," Lilith said, forcing her voice to sound sad.

"I know what you are doing," Lucifer replied, flying up out of the underworld so he could see Lilith. He would like to bring her back down with him. Demons taking over the human world was a time when his wife should be at his side, on their bed, with her calling out all of his names. "Agramon, you are to go back into the underworld right now. You are not needed here."

"But I have made a deal with the-"

"And I have broken it. You are to go back down to the underworld. Do not make me have you drag you down into it. I am not in the mood to deal with this right now when I am supposed to be looking at how my demons are doing all over the world. In the underworld now," Lucifer ordered him.

Agramon hesitated at first, but he had already suffered enough of Lucifer’s punishments. He jumped down into the gate Lucifer created and opened his wings to fly back to the home he had there.

Lilith pulled Lucifer close. "You need to inform Cerberus that Agramon must not be let out the gates. I have missed you. Seeing you now makes me want to return with you, but I gave Killian my word. Wait for me how I like. We shall have our fun when I return," she said, pushing him toward the gate for him to leave.
