The Throne Is Mine -
Chapter 292
Chapter 292: Chapter 292
"Was that a bad introduction? The two of you look so scared. There is nothing else for me to say about myself unless you want to hear about my life when I was still a human like you. I did some bad things when I was still alive, and it was no surprise that I ended up in the underworld to be punished. I did not think I would fall for the devil, but deep inside of me, I always wanted to be a queen like every other little girl, so it worked out," said Lilith.
Beth pushed Fraser back so he could be out of reach from Lilith. Demons stood before her, but she did not see them as demons. She saw Lilith as a crazy person who should not be near Fraser.
Lilith sighed, annoyed by Beth continuing to stop her from speaking to the king. She just got here, and since she was in someone’s home, she wanted to be nice. "All I want to do is speak to the king. You have to worry about her killing you more than me killing you," Lilith said, pointing up to Amelia.
Amelia was the one with the bad blood with her family. Lilith was just here to watch the show and protect Amelia as she promised Killian she would.
"I will speak to the king later if he is still alive. Sadie, you should introduce yourself to his mother," Lilith said, going on to meet Amelia’s grandmother.
Sadie inspected the king who was hiding behind his mother. What happened to the kings being the fiercest men in the kingdom for them to protect the castle when it was under attack? The king who ruled the land she lived on before she died and became a demon was always at the front of his army. She later learned that he died in the middle of a war. That was a true king like Killian, who was leading the demons to the other kingdom.
Sadie held out her hand to greet Beth. "I was also once a human like you. I turned to a demon because of my desires," she said.
Beth looked down at the stranger’s hand, waiting to be shaken. The woman before her said that she was the devil’s wife, and she could only assume there was also something bad about the woman standing before her. "I am not going to shake your hand. The king does not want to speak to anyone from the north," Beth replied.
Sadie didn’t like her introduction being dismissed. Though Beth refused to touch her, Sadie made a quick move to touch Beth’s cheek, but her hand was caught by Beth. Sadie smiled, enjoying the touch. "In my past life, I could not find a man to love me, and now in this life, my touch is deadly to everyone but demons. Humans die quickly from touch," she said, looking at Beth holding her hand.
Sadie bent her hand down to let her finger touch Beth’s hand.
"Sadie, do not kill her," Amelia said before the touch could be made.
Beth let go of Sadie and looked at her hand, fearing that something had been done to her.
"You touched me first, so you only have yourself to blame when you become sick," Sadie said. Just the smallest touch could be deadly, and Beth had grabbed her bare hand. She was going to touch Beth’s cheek, but since Beth touched her first, Sadie considered Beth’s death to be her own doing.
While Sadie watched Beth slowly panic about what would happen to her, Lilith stood in front of Margaret, who reeked of holy water.
"I will not speak to a woman who has decided to marry the devil. Keep going to the throne," Margaret said. Amelia was running everything the priests worked for by letting this woman into the Blackwell castle.
Margaret could hear the calls of demons on the outside, just as the books describe them. Faint screams from the town reached the castle gates because of the fear from the people at the sight of demons. The people should never have come to know about demons. The priests wanted to keep them in the dark as they wiped out the existence of demons.
"I expected nothing different from a priest. Does this mean you do not speak to your granddaughter? The demon she has married is like the devil’s right hand. Amelia and I are in the same position of falling in love with dangerous men. I might be wrong, but wasn’t it you who got her to marry him to save this kingdom? How can you be so angry?" Lilith asked.
"Falling in love with a devil or demon isn’t so bad. It’s exciting and though it might be hard to believe, they are protective and loving like any other husband-"
"A demon is a demon," Margaret said, standing on her decision to not accept what Killian was. He was a great king to rule beside Amelia, but his one flaw was that he was a demon.
Lilith bit her tongue. It was time for people to get rid of this hatred for demons. "You are aware that most of the demons, the people being tortured, and the souls that are trapped in the underworld were once humans. It is the evil in your kind that turns them into demons when they die. The hatred they harboured in this world sticks with them when they die. Humans aren’t as good as you want to believe."
The proof was Lilith herself. She was once a human, and now look at what she has become. She started off as any other innocent child, but then having to survive in this world changed her. She felt more love from Lucifer than anyone other than her parents, who were long dead.
"There is a chance for humans to be judged and be allowed to be sent to the other world so you can peacefully rest until it is your time to be reborn again, but know that we judge all of your sins, and if you have not done enough good over the bad, we will keep you. There is something I wish to say, but I will keep it to myself since you are Amelia’s grandmother," Lilith said, leaving Margaret’s side to finally go up to Amelia on the throne.
Lilith glanced at Agramon, who would not meet her eyes. She was present when Lucifer punished him for asking about the North castle. He did it to himself since she had warned him that Lucifer was focused on today and did not want to be disturbed.
Agramon was a hard demon to kill, but she asked Lucifer to imprison him if he ruined this day or tried to attack Amelia. The rule was that if he wanted the castle, he should kill Killian, but since he was afraid to pick a fight with Killian, he should just shut up and sit quietly like everyone else.
If Agramon laid a hand on Amelia while he was here, Lilith was ready to call her husband. Since Amelia married Killian and slept with him, she was more than just a human now.
"Where are the other family members who are as delectable as you are?" Lilith asked, not impressed with the Blackwells at the moment.
Amelia chuckled. "There aren’t any. I was a rare case, and my mother is not around," she answered.
"I suppose I should have known that no one else could excite me like you do. I look forward to being by your side now that Killian is nowhere to be seen," Lilith said, planning to make the most of her time with Amelia. "I would love to see what it is about you that has Killian so in love with you and unable to leave you."
"You are a beautiful woman, but I am not going to have an affair with you while Killian is not around. How would you feel if Lucifer were to entertain someone in your absence? I want to remain loyal to my husband, but I am honestly flattered since I admire you so much. How you have turned into a demon and become a well-respected queen," Amelia said, getting to her feet so they could get started.
The people in the town had to be panicking and trying to get out of town by now. She needed them to stay in this kingdom where she controlled the demons. If they ran to another kingdom where Killian or some other demon was taking over, they would die.
"I am going to the castle gates. I want the demons to start gathering the people to come through the gates so I can start getting rid of those who deserve to die. Sadie and Edith, I am leaving you here in charge to make sure no one leaves this court. My guards are under your command. Agramon," Amelia said, looking at Agramon who would not tear his eyes away from Fraser. "Follow me."
