The Throne Is Mine
Chapter 254

Chapter 254: Chapter 254

"There’s a war coming, and the witch living in a cave knows about it before I do," Amelia said, trying to hold in her anger before she snapped at Killian. Sybil had to be lying about this or was just misinformed. Amelia trusted that Killian would inform her about demons from the underworld. "This is just a misunderstanding, right? We would only fight when needed to get Fraser off the throne, right?"

Sybil slowly returned into the darkness as she could feel Killian burning a hole through her head. It wasn’t her fault that Killian had not adequately informed his wife. Some marriage this was. Some royalty they were. Still, she enjoyed the conflict she had stirred up. Anne should thank her if this marriage were to now fail.

"Since the other Gods no longer care about keeping your kind in the dark when it comes to demons, Lucifer has been making plans to release his demon in this world. Not to run rampant as they would like since there would be no humans left with the way they feed. I will be the one who leads them while Lucifer is in the underworld," Killian replied.

Gods like Lucifer never stayed out of their realm for too long so Killian would do all of Lucifer’s work. He was taking the Blackwell throne as a gift to himself for all his work in this. He would rather stay in the North and lay around than deal with war, but it was inevitable, and he also wanted to be entertained by humans freaking out.

The only reason he had not let another demon take his place leading was that he didn’t trust there would be someone other than himself or Lucifer to control so many demons and stop them from wiping out humans.

Amelia pushed her hair back and walked around in a circle. Demons coming out of the underworld was much bigger problem than wanting to take back the Blackwell throne and placing someone else on it until she had a child to rule. There were going to be a lot of people who were just getting over the fight between Killian and her father, thrown back into war.

"I am not ready to deal with this," Amelia softly spoke as she continued to pace until stopping to face Killian. She had been so caught up in learning about demons and other things. What was she supposed to do when these demons came out of the underworld? "We are supposed to go down the mountain to speak with Fraser as royalty in a day. Is that when you are planning to attack?"

"It is not. It will not happen when we go down to speak with your cousin, but it will be soon once Lucifer gives the order for the gates to stay open."

"Killian, not only as Queen but as your wife, don’t you think you should have pulled me aside and told me this the moment Lucifer showed up? I put so much trust in you that you would not keep me in the dark or lie to me. I asked you if as Queen I would be around for important meetings. I had to learn about this since Sybil let it slip. Excuse me," Amelia said, needing a moment alone. "I won’t leave the cave."

She did not want to stay angry with him for long, but she really needed to think about what demons coming out of the underworld meant for her. What it meant for the North, the Blackwell kingdom ,and the rest of the world.

"That wasn’t my fault," Sybil said after Amelia left. "What kind of husband doesn’t tell his wife about all the deaths she will see? This marriage isn’t going to last. For me, this war is a good thing. There will be so many bodies I can go around collecting parts from. Hurry up with it."

Killian couldn’t find himself being annoyed with Sybil. He needed to tell Amelia about his plans with Lucifer, but he was caught up in the bliss of what had formed between them and had not told her. It didn’t sound like she was even upset about a potential war. She was upset about the fact that he hid this big secret from her. "Fuck," he muttered.

Meanwhile, Amelia sat down at the entrance of the cave and looked out to the castle that was in the distance. Lucifer and the others were probably continuing their plans right now.

"Just when I become Queen, demons must come out of the underworld. Just great," Amelia muttered. She couldn’t imagine a peaceful world once regular people like her learned about demons’ existence. Killian spoke about humans not being able to mentally handle the truth. Amelia touched her head. "I can already hear the screaming."

Amelia looked down at the trees below Sybil’s cave after she heard a growl and found a large black wolf looking up at her. "Loki? Please be Loki," she whispered, ready to call for Killian. She relaxed when she saw the white wolf appear. It didn’t make her less afraid since Asura didn’t seem too fond of her.

The white wolf liked Killian while Loki tolerated her.

"Uhm. There goes my time alone to think," Amelia quickly got to her feet. Asura was jumping around trying to play with Loki who was watching her. "Killian is inside. Do you even understand me?"

Amelia took a step back as Loki started to walk up to the entrance of the cave. "Killian," she looked sideways to call for him. "Please do not eat me- Oh," she looked down at Loki who came and laid down by her feet. "You just wanted to rest. Should I- no," Amelia pulled her hand away when Loki looked up at her.

"If they wanted to kill you while you were alone, they would have sneaked up on you," said Killian. He heard Amelia softly calling his name. "Alastor fed them earlier, so they shouldn’t be hungry now. If they were tempted to kill you, at least you wouldn’t be eaten afterwards. Are you still angry with me for not sitting you down and telling you? I did plan to."

"A little bit. I cannot tell you not to carry on with the plans you had before me, but I would like to hear about news like this from you instead of someone else. So I won’t be standing like a fool, and someone enjoying the fact that I know nothing. I can’t stay mad at you because you did tell me what you learned about my mother right away. I just needed time to think about how crazy the world will get. Loki interrupted my thoughts," Amelia said, looking down at the quiet wolf. "Even if you think something will upset me, please tell me right away."

"Alright. You snore in your sleep, and it makes me unable to sleep," Killian revealed.

Amelia leaned over to her left to pick up a handful of snow. "I know I am a peaceful sleeper, and you are a liar. I should just-" Amelia stopped mid-air when she heard a growl, which was followed by another growl.

Asura wasn’t happy with the fact that Amelia wanted to hurt Killian, and Loki growled at Asura, seemingly in defense of Amelia.

Amelia dropped the snow to end the fight before it could start. "This is what it will be like for us to have children, isn’t it? Each picking a side and defending us."

"You speak of two children. I wanted to have ten or so-"

"Get it through your head right now that I will not have ten children for you," said Amelia.
