The Throne Is Mine -
Chapter 181
Chapter 181: Chapter 181
"Killian Bune, king of the north, do you take Amelia Blackwell to be your wife? To love, cherish, and protect her for an eternity?"
"I do," Killian replied, grinning at Amelia while she just stared at him. He placed a ring he had forged in the underworld on her finger.
"Amelia Blackwell, princess of the Blackwell kingdom, do you take Killian Bune to be your husband? To love, kiss, to let him tease you... what the hell is this shit? I am not saying this?" The "priest" said to Killian. It was Killian who gave him what was meant to be said today but why was what the princess had to promise so different from what Killian promised?
"I do," Amelia said out loud, not wanting to hear what ridiculous list Killian came up with. She was thankful the person standing with them had sense. She took the ring meant for Killian from Blade’s palm and placed it on Killian’s finger.
Amelia noticed writing had appeared on both rings before disappearing but didn’t bother to question it now. It was evident the rings were not from this world.
"With the power invested in me, by the devil and Killian," Blade, the demon acting as the priest, whispered to Amelia and Killian. It was amusing for him to act as the priest before all the humans. "I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Amelia gave Killian a warning look. "My grandmother is present. Do not do anything so-"
Killian ignored her words and pulled Amelia against him. "It is our wedding. I don’t give a damn about who is present. I will kiss my wife as I please," he said and did just that.
Killian took advantage of her looking up at him and leaned down to finally kiss her. He wasn’t a fan of human weddings but he did enjoy seeing her walk toward him in her white dress. The white was meant to represent purity and innocence based on what he learned from observing humans but there was nothing innocent about the woman before him. Only someone as cruel as her could affect him so much.
"Killian," Amelia said in between their kisses. It proved to be a big mistake when Killian’s tongue was suddenly in her mouth. It was much different from the other time they kissed and as much as she was enjoying it, she kept thinking about the crowd. "Killian, if you stop now I will make it up to you later," she said, speaking his language of horny to get him to listen to her.
Killian gladly pulled away from her, taking in her red cheeks and flustered appearance. If not for the presence of humans he would take the two of them far away and not return for the rest of the day or night. He would begin the fun process of making her the mother of his future children.
"I will be waiting," he whispered.
"Why’d you stop? I was enjoying the show?" Blade commented, reminding the two of his presence.
Amelia paid no attention to the priest or her demon husband who was ready to devour her any second. She turned her attention to the crowd who appeared shocked that Killian and she were already comfortable enough to kiss so heatedly. She could hear their thoughts running wild with theories that she must have already given herself to Killian. They wouldn’t believe that she had started to have feelings for the man beside her.
Amelia didn’t plan on explaining her feelings for Killian to anyone present. Her words would only fall on deaf ears. She would respond to their questions about her and Killian with only a smile and a thank you for coming so they could not take her words and twist them. This game wasn’t new to her.
Amelia looked to her side when she felt someone touch her and it wasn’t Killian. Blade had tapped her arm to get her attention.
"Your crown," Blade said, showing her new crown as queen of the north now that she was married to Killian.
Amelia was no longer just Amelia Blackwell, princess of the Blackwell kingdom. Now she was Amelia Bune, queen of the north. She was to be more respected by everyone present in the room as her title changed in a matter of minutes. Her true coronation as queen would be held in the castle in the north where the demons in the north could be present to see their new queen.
"One moment," Amelia replied, taking out the tiara Gina had placed in her hair so the crown could be placed on her head. "Why aren’t you wearing a crown too?" Amelia asked Killian, not liking that it would be only her wearing a crown.
"I find them to be a hassle," Killian shrugged. "Do not worry about me. Wear the crown to remind these fools who you have become each time they glance at you today," he said, taking the tiara from her hand.
Amelia lowered her head for Blade to place the crown on her head. She was glad Killian wanted her to go ahead and wear it. The crown signified that she had gotten what she always wanted but it was far out of reach. To be queen. Not every princess got to become a queen but she did. She achieved half of her goal right now.
"Presenting Killian and Amelia Bune, king and queen of the north," Blade announced to the crowd. "I could do this for a living," he realized. He had to pat himself on the back for doing a great job as a fake priest. He thought of mingling with the humans present to be invited to do their weddings. He would secretly wish for their marriages to fail while he wed them.
Killian held Amelia’s hand to lead her from the altar to the crowd of annoying people from her side. As much as he wanted to fly the two of them away from here, there was a celebration for them to attend right after which would have dancing, food, drinks, and being congratulated by guests. Followed by the truce being finished and signed.
If there was ever a time for humans to find out about demons, Killian thought it should be now so they would run for the hills leaving him and Amelia alone.
