Deciding to trust Killian, Amelia decided to drop the matter. If Killian was not being truthful with her there was still a chance Agramon would approach her again to reveal something daunting about Killian. What was hidden in the dark would always come to light one day. She could only hope if Killian was lying, he would be willing to tell her the truth before someone else would.

"I won’t bring it up anymore. Just know, there will be people looking to share your secrets with him to create tension. You can always come clean about it if you are not being truthful. I will not be angry with you, just disappointed. It’s been quite a long time since I was given an update on my wedding dress so I must separate with you now and check on it. Hopefully, we see each other again before night. Goodbye," Amelia excused herself from the room first.

Amelia opened the door, finding Cyrus, her two guards, and Gina waiting for her. They have been standing outside from the moment she started to pick out the people she wanted. "I was going to see my wedding dress but we should eat something first. All of you must be tired and in need of a snack. Should we take a detour to the kitchen?" She asked.

Gina was more than happy to hear about the food. Her feet were hurting from how long she had been standing up and her stomach made its presence known. It was embarrassing each time she heard her stomach growl and the three men plus visitors who were here for Amelia kept looking at her. ’Screw them and their good hearing,’ she cursed them in her head.

"Judging from Gina’s expression, I can tell that she wishes to eat. What about the three of you?" Amelia questioned her guards who appeared reluctant to eat when it was time to watch over her. "If you are worried about what Killian shall do, do not. You do not answer to him when it comes to me taking a break for all of you to eat. I will retire to my room for an hour or two so you can go eat. Killian will not scold you and if he tries, I will deal with him."

"Then, I will eat in your room to keep an eye on you. Cyrus, do you mind bringing my food to the king’s room after you walk us there?" Gina asked since someone needed to stay with Amelia while the others ate.

"You want us to leave the person who will not be able to protect her alone with her? Bring my food and I will-"

"I will take her back," Killian interrupted the game of who got to stay with Amelia. "All of you can go eat as she ordered you to."

"Uhm. I mean, I will check on you shortly Amelia. I will pass and see if your wedding dress is ready for you to try on again. Excuse me, your highness," Gina bowed before Killian then hurried away. She felt a strange tension between the couple and wanted no part of it.

Cyrus gave Amelia a look before leaving with the others to get food.

"You must truly not have anything to do today or maybe you are one of those grooms who fears the bribe will run away if you take your eyes off of her. Or maybe, you are thinking about the answer you gave me before," said Amelia.

"Neither. I only find it pleasing to be by your side. Be it a demon or human, I enjoy being by your side the most. It is our first night apart from each other since you arrived. I must get my time in with you now. Are you blushing?" Killian commented on her flushed cheeks.

"No," Amelia fanned herself. "It is the heat inside the castle. I have not gotten used to it yet."

"Are you sure that is all it is? It seems like my words affected you. It looked like you enjoyed hearing me say I love your company more than others. It is alright for your heart to be swayed by me. Besides, I can feel the lust and desire you are exuding. It is enough to draw out the lust in other demons nearby. I might not be able to keep the promise of no blood being spilled before the wedding," Killian said.

"What is it that you can sense about me that I am lusting for you?" Amelia asked so she would try in the future to resist letting it show. She didn’t like this little gift Killian and the other demons had.

Killian’s lips curled as Amelia didn’t realize her mistake in admitting that she did in fact lust over him a moment ago. "There is a smell everyone releases. It might not be noticeable to your kind but it fills the senses of others like myself."

"Great. It’s not embarrassing at all to learn you are aware of when I am feeling aroused," Amelia sarcastically muttered. Then, it wasn’t just Killian but other demons.

"I have witnessed you being aroused before now and have not brought it up. I do not intend to embarrass you or make you feel uncomfortable. If anything, I am waiting for you to be honest with what you feel and requesting my services to help you find release," Killian touched her lower back at the same time he said release so she knew exactly what he meant.

Amelia cleared her throat. Her mind had started to wander to a dirty place as she imagined once again what it would be like to be intimate with such a tempting man. "Do you know if my family has started heading to the border?" She changed the subject so she wouldn’t follow through with her idea to pull him into a vacant room and find this release he spoke of.

"Your grandmother is the only one who has left the castle so far. Your cousin and his mother seemed to be lazy in preparing to travel. It is not like I have prepared the wedding deep in the north for them to be scared. It is at the border for fucks sake," Killian cursed, highly annoyed with the updates he was receiving.

"I don’t mind if Fraser and my aunt do not come. It will just be a bad look on his end but there will be plenty of people who respect him for not wanting to do anything with the north. I just need my grandmother and Leonard there but I doubt I will see Leonard. Thank you for the updates. Your little spy is coming in handy. Have you received updates regarding me?" Amelia asked, curious of what has been said about her.

"It is the same as you left. Some people fear your safety, some are happy the two kingdoms will have peace, while others aren’t happy about the new position you will have. The latter are all in the court. I’ll be surprised if we have a peaceful wedding tomorrow and it is not my kind who I have to worry about ruining it which says a lot," Killian spoke.

"My family has ruined a good number of parties in the past. Thank you for walking back. You can leave me now," Amelia said when they reached their room. "I will read my mother’s books and finish preparing for the wedding. By this time tomorrow, you and I shall be husband and wife. It is odd but I look forward to it. Goodbye," Amelia tiptoed toward Killian to kiss his cheek and then entered their bedroom.

In less than twenty-four hours, she would be the queen of the north and Killian Bune’s wife.
