Chapter 190: Chapter 190: Damian Vs The Countesses – 2

Two strands of thick lightning streaked and flashed thousands of times across the barren training ground, moving at literal lightning speed.

It appeared as though they were teleporting.

Each time they clashed, waves of intense lightning and heat spread like shockwaves.

The battle continued, and the lightning streaks became faster and faster, to the point that it became extremely difficult for the four countesses watching the battle to follow their movements.

As the battle stretched beyond an hour, one of the lightning streaks began to outpace the other and started to push it back.

Countess Akira, covered in intense lightning, was gradually being pushed back.

“What ridiculous talent… I’ve never seen anyone, not from any race, with such potential and latent ability. To think he could use the Kaminari Clan’s lightning better than even the clan leader herself… No wonder the Vampire Progenitor is in a class of his own compared to us noble vampires,” Tiana Valthryne muttered in awe.

“That’s true, but still… that alone wouldn’t be enough for him to overpower her like this. At the start of their sparring, his lightning wasn’t as strong, but as the battle went on, his mastery over it rose rapidly,” Amaya Kuroyami said, rubbing her chin.

She was clearly more than impressed with the skill her husband was displaying.

For someone like her, who loved fighting and training, seeing her own husband with the same passion made her fall in love with him even more.

“Even before he became the Human Progenitor, he was extremely powerful. I mean, he easily defeated hundreds of vampires and my stupid sister in her Ancestral form, and I don’t even think he used his full power,” Lillian added.

“He already possessed talent more than enough to surpass us, and after becoming the Progenitor of both Humans and Vampires, his potential should have grown threefold or even more. There’s no telling just how powerful he has become now.”

The noise of lightning strikes grew more intense as the sparring continued, and Damian began pushing back with increasing momentum.

In an unassuming moment, Damian’s lightning rose to another level, surprising Akira.

Her lightning-covered katana struck him, but he managed to defend with his own, and the impact was so strong it sent her flying meters back, leaving a lightning trail and charred ground behind.

Just as Akira tried to generate more lightning to increase her speed, she found herself at the mercy of a katana at her neck crackling with sparks and intense heat.

“You lost,” the Vampire Progenitor smiled before helping her stand up.

Akira blushed as she realized she was touching her progenitor, which made her feel hot.

“You’re fast… You’re the fastest of the five Countesses, right?”

“Yes, my husband,” Akira replied, avoiding his gaze in shyness.

“Your lightning ability doesn’t turn you into lightning it just allows you to generate it to enhance your speed and power. Unlike my [Lightning Essence],” Damian muttered, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

“Although your lightning increases your speed, perception, and explosive power dramatically, it also consumes a lot of energy and stamina, huh?”

“Flames are one of the weaknesses of vampires, and lightning also produces extreme levels of heat. Even though I can generate lightning using my [Blood Essence], my body still gets hurt by it. This affects my stamina because my body constantly has to heal from the injuries caused by my own lightning,” Akira explained.

“You don’t seem to have that problem. Is that because your body is stronger than a noble vampire’s, or is it because you’re a Progenitor? Also, I noticed that the lightning you generated seemed… higher in quality than mine.”

Akira had noticed these differences during their sparring.

She could clearly see that his lightning was more powerful and destructive collectively higher in quality, even though both were using the same [Bloodline Ability].

“I have many types of energies inside me that influence each other and strengthen each other especially the [Lightning Essence],” Damian said, showing her his hand.

It began to turn red as if heating from the inside, and in the next second, his entire hand transformed into lightning itself.

“You use your [Blood Essence] as a source of energy to generate lightning, and I did the same during our spar. But the reason my lightning was more effective is because my [Blood Essence] is of higher quality than any other vampire’s enhanced by the other energies inside me,” Damian explained.

His [Lightning Essence] specifically amplifies all lightning he creates.

For example, when Damian uses lightning magic, his [Lightning Essence] increases its effectiveness.

Similarly, when he uses [Blood Essence] to generate lightning, it is also enhanced by the [Lightning Essence].

“I can increase the power of my lightning even more, but it would be so strong that it might even harm my body,” Damian said.

“Even more powerful than this?” Akira asked in shock.

“Yeah,” Damian replied as he began to transform into lightning once again but this time, it was golden and much more violent.

It even began to strike Damian himself as if it were still unstable.

“This lightning is created by a unique energy of mine called the [Infinity Essence], which I made by merging numerous energies into one an ultimate energy more powerful than any other, containing all their properties.”

“Even with my extremely powerful body, I might not be able to handle the intensity of using my [Infinity Essence],” Damian sighed, shaking his head before placing his hand on Akira’s face, rubbing her cheek and feeling her soft skin.

“Who wants to go next?” Damian asked, looking at the remaining Countesses.

The next one to step forward was Tiana.

“Ready when you are?” Damian asked.

“Yes, husband,” Tiana nodded, and in the next second, the ground beneath her froze, spreading hundreds of meters in diameter.

Ice formed in her hands, shaping into long swords in each hand.

Before the ice on the ground could reach Damian, Tiana used her insane natural speed, developed through intense training, and sprinted forward leaving behind shockwaves.

She appeared before her husband in the next instant, swinging her ice sword at him.

But before it could land, an ice dome manifested out of nowhere around Damian as a protective shield.

Her attack struck the dome and broke it, but Damian used the opportunity to jump back while Tiana landed on the ground.

As soon as she landed, she activated her [Ice Creation] bloodline ability again, and from the ground beneath her, a giant, sharp-ridged ice structure shot toward Damian.

In response, Damian created another dome to defend himself.

The sharp edges of the ice structure struck the dome, causing it to crack, and before long, it shattered into multiple pieces.

Without giving her husband a chance to regain his footing, she concentrated a large amount of energy into her palm and punched the ground, creating a thunderous sound.

In the next instant, thousands of ice thorns shot from the ground with her at the center leaving no space to escape, forcing Damian into them.

Even then, Tiana didn’t stop her offensive.

While the thorns shot upward, she pointed her hands forward.

Instantly, ice manifested from her hands and spread in all directions top, sides, everywhere.

Damian was completely surrounded thick, metal-like ice thorns growing from the ground to impale him, while walls of ice closed in from all sides to crush him.

As the moments passed, Tiana poured more and more energy into her [Ice Creation], making it stronger and spreading the freezing zone across hundreds of meters.

“She’s going all out from the start,” Amaya muttered.

“That’s actually pretty smart. Her opponent is someone much faster than her. She can’t give him any breathing room and has to end the battle as quickly as possible. Her clan’s bloodline ability, [Ice Creation], is perfect for this kind of strategy since it allows her to influence a large area and control his movements,” Lillian said.

“And the ice she creates is stronger than metal. It would be very hard to break…”

“It would certainly work on me,” Akira nodded. “As someone who fights using speed over power, if my movements were restricted, I would feel helpless… Tiana, Amaya and Kathryne would be my worst opponents in that regard.”

Akira looked at Kathryne. “The Dracula Clan’s bloodline ability, [Hand of Corruption], can also affect large areas, and its property to disintegrate and wither everything it touches… you might be even more dangerous than Tiana as my opponent.”

“Kathryne’s bloodline is probably the strongest bloodline ability in the entire vampire race. If she trains just a little more, she might even take the title of strongest vampire from me,” Lillian smiled and side-eyed Kathryne.

“Oh shut up, and you are not the strongest vampire… my darling is the strongest vampire in existence,” Kathryne said, rolling her eyes.

While they were talking among themselves, Damian was still trapped inside ice from all sides, with thousands of sharp spikes growing rapidly toward him, looking to pierce him.

“She is good. She’s not one of the five Countesses for nothing,” Damian smiled, steadied himself, and began to channel his energy.

The aura around him started to change as he prepared to finish this battle in one move.

Damian’s fist tightened as his figure began to glow with an icy aura.

An incredible amount of energy gathered at the center point of his body, and in the next instant, the energy exploded like a bomb but instead of flames, ice manifested.

It was similar to Tiana’s, but much stronger and harder.

The ice expanded rapidly, pushing past the ice spikes and walls trying to contain him.

As they clashed, waves of icy wind were released in every direction.

In the next few seconds, the ice walls trying to imprison Damian broke apart, much to Tiana’s shock.

No matter how much power she poured in, her ice was destroyed by the incoming dome of ice structure rapidly expanding continuously for hundreds of meters.

Just as Tiana used her own ice creation to block the attack, before she could react, a figure broke through the incoming dome of ice, appearing in front of her and punching her hard in the gut, sending her flying back and crashing to the ground.

Before she could get up, she saw an ice spear pointed at her neck.
