The Sweetest Temptation -
Chapter 85: In love
Chapter 85: In love
Their lips and tongues met in a passionate embrace.
Beatrix could feel the heat of desire rising within her as they kissed, and she wrapped her arms around Rhys’ neck, pulling him closer.
He responded by wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her off the mat and settled her on his lap holding her tightly against him.
Their kisses became more intense, their lips and tongues moved together in a dance of desire.
She ran her hands through his hair, pulling him closer, and he responded by sliding his hands down her back and cupping her buttocks, pulling her against him even more tightly.
Their kisses became even more passionate, their lips and tongues moving together in a frenzied dance of desire.
They kissed until they were breathless, until the world around them faded away and there was only the two of them, lost in their own emotions.
They let their kisses pour the words they both couldn’t say hoping they would feel each other’s unspoken words.
Finally, they broke the kiss and looked into each other’s eyes, both of them panting and breathless.
Beatrix smiled at Rhys and she laid her head on his chest, enjoying this moment with him.
"This is perfect," Beatrix said with a contented sigh,. "I love spending time with you like this, just the two of us, with nothing to worry about but enjoying each other’s company."
Rhys smiled and took her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I feel the same way," he said, leaning in to steal a kiss. "Being with you is all I need."
As they ate and talked, the evening breeze picked up, rustling the leaves of the nearby trees. Beatrix snuggled closer to Rhys, relishing the warmth of his body next to hers.
"I could stay here forever," she murmured, gazing up at the clear, starry sky.
"Me too." Rhys chuckled.
As they sat and ate their lunch, they chatted and laughed, enjoying each other’s company and the beauty of the day. The sun shone down on them, the birds sang in the trees, and the breeze rustled the grass and the leaves.
After they finished eating, Rhys laid back on the blanket and closed his eyes, soaking up the warmth of the sun. Beatrix cuddled up next to him, her head on his chest, and they lay there together, feeling happy and content.
As the sun began to set, Rhys and Beatrix walked hand in hand through the vast field of wildflowers. The vibrant colors of the blooms seemed to dance in the soft breeze, creating a sea of purple, yellow, and pink.
As they walked, Beatrix couldn’t resist the urge to stop and pick a few of the flowers.
Rhys picked one and tucked it behind her ears.
"Beautiful." He complimented.
Beatrix giggled and spun around in a circle, letting the wildflowers brush against her legs. Rhys chuckled and chased after her, his eyes sparkling with joy.
As they ran, they laughed and joked, feeling the warmth of the sun on their skin and the cool grass beneath their feet.
They were lost in their own little world, free from the worries and stresses of everyday life.
Eventually, they collapsed onto the soft grass, panting and laughing. Beatrix rested her head on Rhys’ chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart.
"This is perfect," she whispered, closing her eyes and letting out a contented sigh.
Rhys smiled and kissed the top of her head. "I couldn’t agree more," he replied, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close.
In that moment, surrounded by the beauty of nature, nothing else mattered. They were lost in their little bubble for each other, and the field of flowers was their own little paradise.
"I think we should probably head back soon. It’s getting late. But we can come back here anytime you like."
Beatrix nodded, reluctantly they got back to pack up their things.
As they walked back to the car, hand in hand, she knew that she would always treasure this special picnic date with him.
"Thank you, I really enjoyed today."
Rhys grinned at her. "I’m glad you like it. I wanted to make this a special day for us."
Beatrix squeezed his hand. "It’s already special. Just being here with you is all I need."
Rhys leaned in for a kiss, and Beatrix met him halfway, their lips meeting in a soft, tender kiss.
This was their perfect picnic date, and they knew that they would always remember it fondly.
**********
As they approached the living room after coming back home, They saw Damien sitting there, reading.
He was more handsome than ever, with his dark hair and piercing amber eyes.
As Beatrix walked up to him, he turned and saw her, and a broad smile spread across his face.
Without a word, he stood up and opened his arms and embraced her, lifting her off the ground in a fierce hug.
They held onto each other for what seemed like an eternity, not wanting to let go.
Finally, they pulled back and looked into each other’s eyes, both of them overwhelmed with emotion. They couldn’t stop smiling and laughing as they took in the sight of each other.
"I’ve missed you so much," Damien said, leaning in to give her a tender kiss.
"I’ve missed you too," Beatrix replied.
Damien glanced at Rhys who was leaning against the wall as he stared at them with an unknown emotion glinting in his eyes.
"Won’t you come and greet your brother?" Damien narrowed his eyes at Rhys.
Rhys rolled his eyes and strode towards Damien.
"How are you?" Damien asked Rhys once he reached him.
"Good. You?"
"Fine." Damien replied.
"So why are you back so early? I thought you would come in till a month’s time." Rhys asked.
Damien rubbed the back of his neck and sighed, "Well....we have a bit of a problem."
Beatrix frowned. She couldn’t help but get worried.
"What problem?" She asked.
Damien turned to look at her and gave her a reassuring smile.
"Don’t worry about it. I will solve it."
She nodded, "Okay I’m going to take a bath."
She said, giving the brothers the chance to talk.
********
"So what is going on?" Rhys asked as he poured himself a glass of whiskey.
He knew something must have gone wrong for Damien to come back sooner. Also he had realized that their security had increased over the past few days.
It was as if Damien was afraid something bad would happen to them.
Damien took a sip from his glass before he replied,
"The Russians...." Damien replied, his brows furrowed.
He tried as much as possible to shield Rhys from the mafia world but he knew enough about his dealings.
"What about them? They’re giving you trouble?"
Damien nodded, "Yeah...." Damien proceeded to fill him with what had happened these couple of days.
From using Alina, his driver’s betrayal and Alina’s quest for revenge.
Rhys frown deepened the more he listened to Damien speak.
"So what are you planning to do?"
Damien met Rhys’ eyes, "I’m planning on marrying Beatrix..."
Silence enveloped the brothers as Rhys tried to process what he had said.
"What?"
Damien raised his brows, "It’s the only thing I could think of right now. The Russians have support from the French. I need support from the Italians."
Rhys gulped down the rest of his drink . He didn’t know what to even say.
Her heart stopped inside his body, and he could only stare frozen at him.
He ran his tongue along the inside of his cheek, clenching his fists as he forced a smile at Damien
Fuck....what was that weird feeling in his heart. It was so painful.
"Won’t you say anything?" Damien said, waiting for his reaction.
"What do you want me to say? At the end of the day she is your fiancé not mine." He spat bitterly.
"Hmmm...but you know marrying her won’t change anything right? We both get to keep her like I promised."
Rhys nodded, "Okay...." He replied simply,
swirling his glass.
But he knew it wouldn’t be the same though. Rhys sighed.
"Once I talk to her and she agrees, we have to go back home."
They both knew what would happen if they took Beatrix home. Many of them wouldn’t accept her.
"So....how are things going on between you two?"
Damien asked, staring at Rhys.
A lopsided grin formed on Rhys’ face, "Good...I think I’m obsessed fuck and I’m not ashamed to admit it. She’s fucking beautiful and she’s shy yet warm and beautiful as hell."
Damien chuckled "Oh I have eyes, I can see it for myself," He responded and Rhys took his bottom lip between his teeth in order to keep from smiling like an idiot
"I always want to spend time with her and to make her happy. I don’t know why...I just like seeing her smile."
Damien grinned, "Yeah well I think you’re in love, brother."
A/N: Okay....this is the first time I’m participating in win win and I hate it so much hahaha. I hate writing under pressure. It affects my thinking process. Just a few more days guys....the fun will begin soon^^
