The Sweetest Temptation -
Chapter 53: Perfect Bride
Chapter 53: Perfect Bride
"This smells amazing Damien." Beatrix said as Damien pulled a chair for her.
"Thank you. Because it’s late I prepared rice and stir fry. I hope you like it."
Beatrix sat down and smiled at him, "You know I love everything you make."
Damien sat beside her and poured her a glass of wine.
Rhys appeared in the dinner room and moved to her side, his hand meeting her thigh under the table as soon as he settled in the chair next to her , making her slightly squirm when his hands skimmed the edges of her dress.
"It’s been so long since you ate a meal prepared by me." Damien said, filling Rhys’ plate with food.
"Hmm." He hummed in agreement.
"I miss your cooking." Rhys confessed, relaxing against his chair.
Beatrix’s head automatically turned to sneak a glance at him who was looking smug.
Damien smiled at his brother and ruffled his hair.
"Well now that you’re back home I will try to cook for you as much as I can."
Rhys nodded and started eating. Beatrix realized that not once had he acknowledged her presence or even glanced at her.
If not for his hand still on her thigh she would think she was invisible to him.
Rhys and Damien talked about the company they were supposed to work for. Beatrix relaxed then focused on the food in front of her.
As always it was delicious. If Damien wasn’t a Mafia Lord he would have been a chef. His cooking was just perfect every single time.
Beatrix was going to miss his cooking when he left tomorrow. Her mood plummeted when she realized tonight was the only night they would spend together before he left.
Beatrix picked the glass of wine and gulped it down as a plan began to form in her head. It may seem silly but she was going to seduce Damien tonight.
How? She had no idea. Maybe if she showed him what he would be missing, maybe he might visit her often.
It was a stupid idea, she knew. But she was going to give her fiancé something for him to think about on the road when he was leaving.
Beatrix sneaked a glanced at Rhys and saw that he was focused on what Damien was saying looking nonchalant, when he slid his hand up her thigh, dipping it in between her legs and massaging her inner thigh, ghosting his hand near her core before pulling it away and acting like he never did anything.
Beatrix stiffened as her eyes widened with horror. Did he just....God. He was more sick than she thought.
Her eyes scanned Damien’s face for any sign of suspicion but all she saw at him listening to his brother.
Beatrix tried to distract herself with anything she could , even planning on how to seduce Damien but it was futile.
She sat rigid with her fists clenched on her sides.
She was fighting the urge to punch Rhys when he repeated the action with his hand again, casually humming along to what Damien was saying.
"Hey are you okay, you’re not eating." Damien looked at her concern etched on his face.
"I-I’m fine. I’m listening to you boys talk. Don’t worry about me."
Damien frowned and pressed a kiss on her forehead, "How can I not be worried about you, silly."
Beatrix smiled but her smile stiffened when Rhys traced his fingers higher up her inner thigh, dancing them around the edge of her panty line on her leg before brushing the back of his knuckles over the fabric on her heat, pausing and pulling his hand away again.
He kept smirking to himself more each time, noticing her squirming more, or the arousal he was causing between her legs.
Beatrix poured herself another glass of wine to calm down her nerves.
Her hand wrapped around Rhys’ hand, trying to stop him but instead, he took that as an opportunity to touch her sensitive bud through her panties.
"You okay? You look a bit stressed" he mused smugly, relaxing against his seat with his elbow resting on the table
Beatrix glared at him, running her tongue along the inside of her cheek.
Stan. Devil. No, he was simply evil. Who would do this to his future sister in law?
He only grinned at her silence, tilting his head coyly.
Beatrix clenched her teeth together, blowing out a frustrated breath as he got to her inner thigh again, resting his hand at the part where her thigh met her groin and continued to massage the skin slowly.
"Maybe you should go upstairs and rest. I’m sure your cramps are getting worse." He licked his lips, his eyes dancing with amusement.
"No!-"
"Beatrix- I think you should rest." Damien said, grabbing her hand that was on the table.
Beatrix was terrified she didn’t want to go to her room alone. What if- what if Rhys sneaked inside her room like the last time?
Poor Beatrix, she had forgotten that she would be leaving alone with Mr. Evil.
"No-I-I don’t want to be alone."
Damien chuckled and shook his head helplessly.
"Alright. I will go with you."
Beatrix smiled and nodded.
Damien stood up and grabbed her hand.
"Sorry Rhys but my fiancé needs me."
He snorted and rolled his eyes, "You haven’t even married her yet and you’re already choosing her over me.
Damien chuckled and patted his shoulder, "You will understand one day."
Beatrix forced a smile and glanced at Rhys who had now removed his hands.
"It was nice meeting you Rhys."
Rhys stared at her deadpan before he broke into a smirk.
"Likewise....sister-in-law."
Beatrix cheeks flushed with embarrassment. She could hear the taunting in his voice.
"She is not yet your sister-in-law but I guess that means you have accepted her?"
Damien asked, lifting his brows at Rhys.
Rhys’ lips curled into a smile, his gaze fell on her for a minute before he spoke, "You couldn’t have found a perfect bride."
Beatrix’s eyes widened in shock. Clearly she wasn’t expecting him to say this.
