Beatrix knocked softly on the door of Damien’s office. It was slightly opened so she peered inside.

He was on the phone, pacing in front of his desk. His hair was messy, his feet bare but even in a shirt and jeans, he looked devilishly handsome especially when he looked up and grinned at her.

"Preferably in a week," he murmured on the phone before setting it down and leaning against the desk.

"Come here,"

Beatrix blushed and strode towards him. The moment she reached him, he pulled her into his arms and kissed her passionately.

He slowed down and trailed light, moist kisses along the curve of her neck.

"I’ve missed you." He whined.

Beatrix smiled and wrapped her arms around his waist.

"You saw me thirty minutes ago."

"Which is too long, don’t you think?" he asked, pressing a kiss on the bridge of her nose.

"I can’t imagine the hell I’ll be going through when I finally leave you. We haven’t even be together for a year and I’m already obsessed with you."

Beatrix’s breath hitched as he pressed his forehead against hers, his eyes closing.

Even though he wasn’t in love with her yet, she loved the idea of him being obsessed with her.

"You’re rich Damien. You can see me anytime of the day if you want.,"

Beatrix told him, rubbing his ear gently between her fingers.

"All you have to do is fly a private jet over here. I’m sure you got one."

He looked up, frowning,"You make it sound so easy."

Beatrix shrugged helplessly.

"I have the money, yes but with money and power comes lots of enemies. I can’t be reckless especially when it comes to you. People would be suspicious if I kept flying over here."

Beatrix sighed. "I know I’m just-"

He exhaled sharply, looking a little petulant.

"It’s alright. I will figure something out so that I can see you in person frequently. At least once a week, what do you think?"

Beatrix’s eyes widened. "What? Damien, are you sure about that? I know you would probably be busy."

He smiled and kissed her softly on the mouth.

"But darling,nothing is more important than you. I want this relationship to work. If I have to make a few sacrifices to be with you, I will do it."

Beatrix closed her eyes and kissed him back, her heart thumping in her chest.

She knew it won’t be long before she falls madly in love with this man. She had been scared at the beginning but now she was willing to take all the risks.

He scooped her up and settled her on his lap after sitting down on the long, leather couch, his arm holding her in place as they continued to kiss.

"I-I want you-," Beatrix whispered after a quick intake of breath before burrowing her face into his neck.

"Why-Why don’t you always take things further. Is it because you don’t want me?" She murmured, still hiding her face from him.

"You want me," he whispered, a new note in his voice. He sounded... awed.

Beatrix pulled away and looked straight into his eyes in a brief moment of crystal clarity.

Why did he sound surprised that she wanted him?

Any woman would want Damien Niarchos. The man was literally perfection.

"Y-yes.."

His amber eyes searched hers with happiness and lust before he broke into the most heart-stopping grin she has ever seen.

Her heart literally did a somersault.

"Oh....."

Beatrix interrupted him by grabbing his collar

before pulling him down and crushing her lips against his.

She wanted him to know how much she wanted him in case he didn’t believe her.

"Wait," he said as he pulled away for a moment, his voice hoarse and unsteady. A look of pain crossed his face and he closed his eyes.

Beatrix cupped the side of his face and he took a deep breath, turning into her palm and pressing a hot, moist kiss at the center of it.

A lustful ache shot straight between her legs and her eyes fluttered close.

"You know as much as I want you right now. I think we should wait before we get married."

Beatrix’s shoulders shagged with disappointment."

"Yes."

A mischievous and dark look playfully sparks across his eyes,

"Wow...." He sounded completely shocked .

"You’re even more innocent than I thought." He muttered to himself, capturing her hand and pressing her fingertips against his warm, soft lips.

"Do you remember what I told you about how I am in the bedroom?"

Beatrix swallowed and nodded, "Yeah. I-I don’t mind."

Damien chuckled and shook his head, "I’m literally a monster who would devour you."

Beatrix blinked as he added,

"Think hard about this, Beatrix ," he said quietly as he released her hand. "Because once I have you, there’s no turning back. I’ll want all of you and there is nothing you won’t give."

Beatrix was ready to tell him that she was ready for anything that he wanted to do to her but something about the way he looked at her as he waited for a reply stirred just the slightest doubt.

His amber eyes told her he wanted it all-body, heart, mind and soul.

And for a girl who had little to no knowledge about desire she really had no idea what she wanted to get herself into.

She was just thrilled to learn the passion he could teach her and she was intrigued enough to look for the real man hiding inside his impenetrable fortress.

But what if she wasn’t strong enough to handle his dark side? What if the perfect fantasy bubble she has created in her head gets destroyed.

"Like I said, let’s wait until we get married. I’m sure you will have more time to prepare, okay?"

Beatrix licked her lips and nodded, "Alright."
