Chapter 88: Real Bath Battle III (The Apocalypse)

Tamayō finished her chant.

And without pause, she launched the 14 moons—all of them screaming through the night sky, bearing down on me and Alicia.

At the same time, Alicia’s [Wicked Nebulae] had matured past the point of no return. The energy had risen from her palms, now floating above her head—two tombstone-sized masses of writhing, green-black essence.

Even the usual small version—the size of a human head—could erase every molecule of life in a given region, if used right.

Hers, on the other hand, were bluntly apocalyptic.

I didn’t wait any longer.

I leapt skyward, propelling myself to the exact center between both attackers.

Then I slammed my palms together. The sound echoed like thunder down the realm’s spine.

And I invoked a technique; one where every energy in the area were pulled to me.

Because Coastelle... isn’t just some space anymore. It felt like my child. My own flesh and blood.

And here, within her, I can bend the world itself. I can twist the rules here more than anywhere else.

But, even at that, only if I push myself to the brink.

That said, it’s still risky. I could very much die.

Alicia’s attack veered toward me. It tilted unnaturally toward my center.

The 14 moons... followed. They curved, twisted unnaturally, and homed in on my location—exactly as I had designed.

The plan was simple: Make them crash into me at once. Then I’d absorb most of the damage and force the rest down into the underworld through the ripple gates.

Whatever calamity it causes there, I don’t care. Not like Sarvest would be able to discover the perpetrator.

I just... hope I don’t fall to pieces before everything is finished.

Because if I perish—so does Coastelle.

And I don’t think even Master Raven, distant as he is now, would survive the backlash unscathed.

Then—

IMPACT!

It was just as disastrous as I’d imagined.

I’m glad.

I’m glad it was.

Because any more, and I wouldn’t be here to tell the tale.

It reminded me of Master Raven’s morning assault—the sheer remnant force.

*

A detonation of myriad colors burst outward, light swallowing everything.

Each flash of illumination seized life within its reach.

The light exploded outward in all directions, scorching the air and breaking down matter within reach. The ground disappeared. Trees, rocks, mountain—gone.

A massive bubble of destruction expanded from the collision, devouring a cratered void about 600 meters wide. Nothing inside was left. No echoes. No light. Just pressure and silence.

Where land and magic once stood, now: a hollow sphere of hush and darkness.

Even the moonlight treaded not.

And as the chaos subsided...

We three—exhausted, drained, naked—floated in the stillness.

Alicia. Tamayō. Myself.

Above us, the moon gazed down from the oceanic sky, shimmering across the distant waves, as creatures of sea stirred and wallowed in its tranquility.

And I thought—

It was...beautiful.

Marvelous.

"I... cannot move," Tamayō whispered. "Both of you are unreasonable. Extraordinary—"

"Oh? Is that a compliment—"

"—But make no mistake—I will triumph next time."

"You’re the incredible one," I sighed. "Still able to whine, even in that state."

"Heh..." Alicia chuckled faintly. "I can’t move either. This is the first time I’ve ever touched the edge of my strength. I thought I didn’t have limits."

"You littl—"

"But once I fully understand my power, you’ll all face repentance. I will have my revenge."

"C-Can we please just learn our lesson for once?" I pleaded. "I only hope this catastrophe didn’t leave some kind of irreversible mark on Coastelle. Not like what Master Raven did on the surface..."

Tamayō let out a giggle—soft, innocent. Nothing like the haughty laugh from before.

"The Supreme Lord has already turned that region into a cursed lake of death," she said. "Soon it’ll be a landmark people whisper about. As it should."

Somehow, despite everything, we ended up chatting about constellations while staring up at the star-filled sky.

We wondered why there was a moon, and stars above, even though there was no sun.

I mean, even the sun was a star.

We didn’t have any answers.

It was beautiful. That was all that mattered.

Actually, not at all. I will see to it that I resolve that mystery...!

Then came talks of childbearing—of how we’d each receive Master Raven’s seed in a way that caused the least bloodshed.

We discussed future enemies of our Lord too, and the most effective torture methods to deal with them. And it gradually turned into a full-blown strategic meeting.

Strangely enough, it felt like we genuinely connected.

No—a lot.

Especially with Tamayō.

She was laughing now.

Talking freely. Sweetly.

Almost too sweet, considering the madness in her eyes when she summoned those moons.

But maybe she sees us as equals now. I suppose.

Not long after, Tamayō’s voice began to trail. She was drifting out of consciousness. Alicia, too.

Honestly... even me.

The last time I pushed myself this far was 4000 years ago, during the war against heaven.

"Ah! Over here, Master Ruben!" Jobina’s voice rang out.

I opened my eyes.

Above us, floating in the vast dark, I saw Jobina and Master Raven gazing down—faces lit by worry, suspended over a pool of nothingness.

As expected of them... they could see this clearly without light.

Master Raven... he looked truly panicked. We must have frightened him.

And he was still wearing that garment Alicia referred to as an apron.

Implying he was still cooking?

Hehe. A Supreme Lord, cooking like a housewife... how utterly absurd. And yet, charming.

Strangely, he didn’t appear flustered by our lack of clothes, even though he often blushes over such things.

His gaze flicked, conflicted, to my arm.

Ah. Right. It’s gone.

I had to sacrifice it—to preserve what remained of me, and to keep the destruction to its absolute minimum.

’I suppose we’re in for a firm scolding,’ I thought, just before my mind began to fade again...

Something I usually entered deliberately... Now I’m forced to... slumber.

"You idiots! Don’t scare me like that!" Master Raven’s voice burst through the haze, warm and close.

Arms grabbed me.

...Forgive me, Ravenswood.

***

When I opened my eyes again, I was lying back near the igloo-like earth house Master Raven built.

I turned toward the mountain range where our battle took place, silently mourning the hot spring that had once bubbled there.

But then—astonishingly—I saw Coastelle... healing.

Even the gaping pit swallowed by darkness, that endless drop into void, was sewing itself shut.

As if the realm itself had merely paused for us to conclude.

Was Coastelle truly waiting for us to finish the battle?

Why else would it begin to mend only now?

It reaffirmed my suspicion—this land may well be sentient.

Alive. Having a mind of its own.

"Hahaha!!"

Jobina’s needlessly loud laughter dragged my attention back to them.

"Leviathan is back to life!"

"I never died, you fool," I spat, though the words barely carried.

"So, tell me; did you see that hooded skeleton by the river?" she quipped. "or perhaps the hooded, pale, pretty lady on a boat?"

"Pale lady..." I raised a brow.

My voice, once thunderous, now sounded like wind whispering through cracked stone.

But was Jobina referring to Dearth, the death reaper?

Alicia, Tamayō, and I were lying on the grass.

Apparently, both of them had awakened before me.

How shameful.

As the elder, I should be the first to rise, even from an apocalyptic collapse.

When I asked, Jobina told me about an hour had passed since our little war.

The realm had begun mending itself immediately after we stopped fighting—and even now, it still wasn’t done.

Ninety-eight percent of the intended destruction had either been absorbed by me or redirected into the underworld.

So the damage Coastelle suffered was merely the residual energy—chaotic remnants that had leaked past my limits.

However, it was noisy over here. Agitating, even.

I turned my face to the left, hoping to find rest again... and found myself gazing at the most adorable being ever granted to creation.

I impulsively smiled, and my heart became at peace.

He was pouting. In an apron.

Our very own Supreme Lord. One would mistake him for being naïve.

Yet all I saw was the source of my healing—body and soul.

Also, all of us terrorists were bundled in thick, soft brown robes. Master Raven’s modesty truly knows no bounds.

He was using his devouring ability in an unconventional way, gradually restoring my arm back into place with the gentle mist flowing from his hands.

"I’m glad to see your face, Master Raven—"

"You don’t get to speak, Levi," he cut in sharply. "Do you have any idea the kind of anxiety you’ve caused me today?!"

He entered his scolding stance—arms at his waist, brows furrowed, voice firm.

The dark mist from his body continued to fix me, flowing patiently, obeying his will.

He launched into what I assumed were stern words. But honestly? He wasn’t even trying. I expected more—we nearly destroyed this place.

Eventually, he sighed. His shoulders dropped.

"I realize..." he began, his gaze shifting to the distant damage, nearly a mile out. "You took the brunt of it. Tamayō’s attacks alone could’ve split Coastelle in two. And those final green crashes... they nearly punched a hole straight through the realm."

Then he turned to me, his expression softening.

The gentlest look I’d ever seen from him so far.

"You were protecting this place even while fighting, weren’t you? You dummy," he muttered, poking my cheek. "Wouldn’t it have been easier to just stop the battle entirely? Instead, you absorbed the damage to shield the surroundings—while withstanding Tamayō’s attacks and Alicia’s tantrums."

He grew serious.

"I don’t know if you’ve realized," he whispered, leaning in slightly, "but letting Alicia hit your body is... a bad idea. She might be weaker than the rest of us in general, but that girl’s a time bomb of destruction, I tell you."

"..."

Ah. I see.

Master Raven still doesn’t realize Alicia holds reins on her power.

He thinks she’s just physically stronger than average—tough, but still on the scale of a million Prime-Valued entity like us.

She’s been keeping up that illusion carefully. But how long can the charade last?

Well... we’ll see.

"Also," he added, scratching his cheek with one finger—
