"Whether you want to be a translator or not, just send in a resume. It can’t hurt to have the experience."

Mickey agreed with a laugh, "Anyway, it’s not like they’d hire me. The hiring standards are too high."

The two chatted and laughed on their way to the dormitory. Halfway there, they ’accidentally’ ran into Hu Jiaojiao, who seemed to have been waiting there for a long time, a thin layer of sweat visible on her pale face.

"Qiqi." Seeing them coming, Hu Jiaojiao immediately greeted them with a smile.

Gu Qili narrowed her eyes slightly; she had seen thick-skinned people, but never someone as shameless as her. It seemed the two slaps she gave her last time were not hard enough, or otherwise, Jiaojiao wouldn’t dare to appear before her so shamelessly.

"Qiqi, are you guys heading back to the dorm? I was just about to head back too. Let’s go together," Hu Jiaojiao said as she tried to link arms with Gu Qili.

Gu Qili sidestepped with disgust, bluntly keeping her distance: "Don’t touch me. Shamelessness is contagious, and I don’t want to catch it."

Hu Jiaojiao bit her bright red lips, her voice quivered with a pretense of grievance: "Qiqi, I know I was wrong. I have no more dealings with Deng Feifei. Won’t you forgive me?"

Ha, Deng Feifei is now like a phoenix that has fallen from grace, only caring for herself and no longer having the time to deal with her.

For Hu Jiaojiao, anyone without utilitarian value deserves to be crushed underfoot and then kicked away, as far away as possible.

Gu Qili couldn’t be bothered to watch her act pitiful and pulled Mickey’s hand to leave.

"Qiqi, I really have something to discuss with you." Hu Jiaojiao was slim but surprisingly strong; she grabbed Gu Qili’s backpack, her knuckles turning white from the grip, refusing to let go.

"It’s about Yishu," Hu Jiaojiao emphasized, fearing Gu Qili would walk away.

Gu Qili sneered, "What now, planning on getting an abortion?"

Hu Jiaojiao’s face flushed and paled by turns but still maintained a facade of quiet endurance, "Qiqi, if you agree to my terms, I’ll tell you about Yishu’s matter, it’s really, really important."

Gu Qili didn’t care for her at all; a liar will never spit anything worthwhile.
