Chapter 105: The Witch’s Sincere Confession (And Dragon’s Relentless Kisses)

"Hm..."

"Demond?"

"Miss Demond?"

Demond cupped her chin, contemplating.

They have left the temple after 991’s final visit. And they now arrived upon a path between grassfields again.

"Say..." The Witch smirked. "Wouldn’t we want to have something like a transport?"

"Ah," Adrei petted the Witch’s hat. "You need me transformed?"

"Nope, we need something flashier. Something cooler."

No pun intended. So the Witch summoned her staff again.

"I never did this before," the Witch took a deep breath. "Too wasteful of mana, not to mention I don’t have enough of it in my old body. But..."

After confirming she can even freeze the World’ time? Demond liked to give this a try.

"So first..." Her fingertip weaved. "A carriage...a horse...ah, I can’t miss the wheel and the rooftop..."

A mini horse carriage was drawn mid-air, glittering.

"Then the rest is up to me." Demond twirled her staff. "Behold!"

The wood slammed onto the ground. Frosts dusts sprouted, carriage expanded in size.

"And...done!" The ice horse carriage stood amongst the path. "How is it? I was quite proud of-"

"Miss Demond."

"Hm 991?"

"The wheels will collapse."

Creak. Carriage fell, and horse was splattered with ice dust once again.

"...uh..." The Witch hung her shoulder. "I made it contain too much mana...I guess."

"Specifically." The Android tilted her head. "Mass, weight, and design structure. Too large. Too heavy. Too unstable. Would you like me to advise you on your failures?"

"Oh!" The magic enthusiast’s eyes glimmered. "Please do! It’s been a while since I was scolded by an Android!"

"No issue. Then..."

And with some more discussion, a few more hiccups, and...

"Perfect!" The Witch desummoned her staff, prodding her chest at the ice horse carriage, now just as stable as the normal ones.

"Is it alright, however?" The Android tilted her head. "You would have to supply mana throughout the journey for it to move."

"Nah, it’s fine. This body of mine has quite a bounty of it!"

"Mhm. Then..." 991 climbed to the front. "I will monitor the horse’s condition. Both of you could sit at the back."

Adrei raised her brow. "Demond’s magic quality is assured. You can be with us if you want."

"I would humbly refuse." 991 bowed with her eyes closed. "I like to be outside. The wind and the view soothed me...somewhat. It made me feel more...belonged than I could imagine."

"Ah, an adventurer’s spirit!" The Witch grinned.

"Mhm. So..." 991 straightened her back. "You two can safely intercourse while I enjoy nature."

"Mhm. Of cour-wait, what?"

Stunned. Shell-shocked. Ridiculed.

"Uh...991?" Ignoring the Dragon’s holding back her laughter, Demond wryly smiled. "The hell did you just say?"

"You two can safely intercourse while I enjoy nature?"

"...what? What-what the hell?!"

The Witch swung her arms in protest. "Are you a damn pervert 991?! Is that how it is?!"

"I merely suggest I am a shell without the concept of human shame." 991 patted the horse, curiosity aroused. "You two are lovers. You two can mate. I would not judge."

"Pft-"

"Adrei!" The Witch held her husband’s collar, the dark blush threatening to consume her. "Thi-this Android is probably <Drowned>! Bind her again! I need to check, now!"

"Oh..." Adrei embraced the Witch’s struggling visage. "We thank you for your consideration, 991."

"Don’t mention it."

"And don’t make deals behind my back! Hey!"

With that, the Witch and the Dragon set off with a new companion.

-------------

Within the very grassfields, where lushful greeness was swayed by the playful wind, the very roots coiled beneath the earth.

Those roots toiled around a cavern, with wetted muds and dried stones built as the foundation.

There sat two partners-in-crime, Coriel and Manasseh, who has been hiding from the icy-bird scouts beside the temple.

"How lucky of us." Coriel sighed, eying Manasseh who sat at a distance. "The temple’s Divinity bled out the Witch’s scouts, and with their new companions, they have forgotten us."

"Be absolutely sure, Coriel." Manasseh groaned as she pointed upward. "The ice birds were still right atop of us."

Glimmering dusts of ice sprinkled from the Earth ceiling. The Witch’s magic, or specifically the birds’ beaks were burrowing to find their preys.

"The <Dragon Language> will hold. You need not worry."

Coriel carrassed the Earth, the gentleness belying the venomous spite within the scientist. "The Witch’s mana was tuned to be similar to a regular Dragon’s, but to an elder? The hierachy still remained."

"Bullshit." Manasseh frowned, the disgust with her experience with the Dragon Elder biling in her throat. "You tinkered with something else in there, didn’t you? It’s not your...ideology to limit something if you can afford it."

"That is up to your imagination."

Coriel’s eyes curved as she stared at Manasseh, hidden beneath the Emerald green was an infinite fascination. "Every living beings contained potential, and held the rights to grow. It is not my obligation to smother them."

"How about that Android then, huh?" Manasseh glared. "As if you really were so stubborn. I’m not one to judge, but hypocrisy had its limit."

"The Android seeked a normal life. I merely brought out its uses. You may think otherwise." The lips curled to a malicious mischievousness. "I do find curious why you would care for such an Android. Is it truly pity?"

"I did so because...I had no other plans in this World." Claw dug into the dried muds, as Manasseh’s scorning eyes retracted. "I lost all my families. The Android was the last one I could spare with...fond memories."

Perhaps of the cookies. Or perhaps of the lousy, squeaky voices.

Manasseh heaved a deep sigh, palmed her face and muttered. "Look. Just tell me when we will get out of this stuffy place."

Vampires and Dragons had no need for airs, but the suffocating wetness and the sole fact her and the Dragon had to curl up at close proximity...brought only misery and anger to the vampire.

Another test of her ancestor? Before she could figure out why she must be reincarnated?

Manasseh chortled to herself, the ridicule was as real as the coarse soil beneath her.

"Relax. I have no intention to hide forever."

A smirk. An index finger pointed outwards.

"Until they arrived at the town."

"...until they arrived? Are you kidding me?"

"Indeed not." Coriel’s hand smoothed over the soiled seat, her pinky skin weirdly unbelished by any trace of dirtness, as if her very magic rejected her.

"I assure you. It will not be long."

Coriel raised her head, the emerald eyes stuck towards the ceiling.

The space was too narrow...compared to the vast sky her Kind once ruled. The Sky Dragons and all their glories...pertained no concern for Coriel.

Yet to annihilate every kin...to snuff out every possibility for a peace-talk, is her Sister truly in the right? Truly ahead of her vision for mankind’s future?

"I look forward to our meeting again in the Dungeon, Sister."

Much to Manasseh’s cautious confusion, the roots danced excitedly around the cavern’s walls, mirroring the scientist’s barely contained anticipation for the reuinion.

--------------

"...Demond?"

"Stay away." The Witch curled up in the carriage. "I’m mad right now."

The smooth ice surface was inspired by Alice’s ice. With some micmicry, the Witch sat on the ground and sulked without issue.

"I must apologise." The Dragon smiled. "I wouldn’t have thought that would anger you as such."

"I’m not that angry. Just..." The Witch sighed. "Grr...I don’t know. Just don’t get close at the moment."

991, the main culprit of the Witch’s tantrum, was still lying ahead of the ice curtain, her cheek now burrowing into the horse as a pillow to relax.

And Adrei? She huffed a chortle, before approaching Demond.

"Hey. I told you to-"

A peck on the cheek.

"...if you think a peck could bribe me, you-"

A pect near the lips.

"...wait wait wait. Let this old man grumb-"

A kiss. Tongue invaded.

"Hic..."

The Dragon’s aggression silenced the Witch, before she sent both tumbling.

Adrei’s hand roamed on the Witch’s back, tilting her head for every angle.

The whimpers were such fervent music to Adrei’s ear.

"Adrei..."

"Hm...."

Adrei splitted away, a string of saliva connecting to the panting Witch.

"Want more?"

The Witch’s lips gaped open, before darting her gaze away.

"I don’t like to be so cheap..."

"Then, let’s hold it off." The Dragon leaned down to her ear. "Instead, shall we hold another promise?"

"What...promise?" It tickled...Demond squirmed more.

"Promise that I would explore of you. And you would explore more of me."

The Dragon bit on the earlobe. "Or would you like to decline?"

"...just...just say which spot is it..." The Witch cried.

"Let’s see..." The Dragon licked the side. "This tongue never tasted your fruits, haven’t I?"

"You will..."

"Are you perhaps...afraid?"

"...like hell I am..." Demond turned her head. "I never seem to have any sense of shame when I’m with you..."

"But would you claim it as a convinience then?"

"Maybe..."

The Dragon chuckled as she stood up from Demond, her eyes tender. "I love you, Demond."

"...tch." The Witch huddled herself. "Idiot."

"Hm?"

"Don’t just talk."

The Witch’s trembling arms opened themselves. "Come here..."

Adrei blinked, then blinked again. The sight of an embarrassed Witch confessing the need for intimacy bore a hesitation into the Peacekeeper’s mind.

Adrei’s lips curved, before she sank into the Witch’s arms.

Both of them were in absolute comfort, as if the World turned a blind eye, and only they remained in each other’s warmth.

"As expected..." The Witch’s gripped tightened. "It’s a little...cringey, isn’t it?"

"Cringey?"

"How I act like a girl in her 20s, when I’m a 80-year-old man inside..." The Witch arched more to the Dragon. "Do you find it pitiful?"

"I would claim once again, Demond." The Dragon carrassed her cheek. "That gap only made you cuter."

"I thought it would only flare up your pervertedness, Dragon Queen." The Witch weakly smiled.

"That it also did." Adrei nuzzled into the Witch. "Or how else would I be so clingy to you?"

"Mm..." Demond grasped Adrei’s robe. "Me...me too..."

Silence prevailed except the clutterings of ice wheels outside.

Both gazes met. The need for reassurance met the need for a passion answered.

"Adrei."

"Hm...?"

"I’ve...been extremely dishonest with you..." The Witch’s eyes fluttered. "So, given this...awkward and embarassing and...well, convinient atmosphere, I would like to confess whatever I can."

"And that would be?"

The Witch took a deep breath.

"I would not claim to know everything...or anything at all regarding romances and stuffs..."

"Mhm."

"And...I am clumsy, prideful, and extremely reluctant. I am a former man after all, and there’s a limit to how much everything can come rushing at once."

"Of course."

"But I...I just want to say..."

The Witch took a deep breath again.

Her eyes, now resolute on the Dragon’s.

"No matter how many times I reject your advances, I..."

The Witch’s palm opened. The Dragon received it.

"I sincerely did not regret being your bride, Adrei."

Another silence. Another wheels cluttering.

A chortle broke through.

"Do you not think it is too late to claim so? After all that we did yesterday...?"

"Be serious..." The Witch pouted, her tone threatening. "It’s once in a blue moon I flirted with such cheesy lines like yours. And your first reaction is to laugh?"

"Well, you are extradonarily cute after all."

"Damn pervert Dragon..."

"But Demond." The Dragon leaned in again. "Is there anything else you need to be sincere about?"

"Ha?!" The Witch gasped. "Don’t-don’t make me shudder...it’s all that I can-"

"The kisses." The Dragon smirked. "Do you like it?"

"..."

"...hm?"

"I..."

The Witch hitched her breath.

"I don’t dislike it..."

The Dragon’s brows raised, her scales scorching, itching to claim the Witch again.

"Then Demond." She leaned in. "I’ll make sure you would taste it, all the way till we reached Sovereignheim."

She crashed her lips onto hers, tongue dancing again.

"A-Adrei..."

"Stay still, my Witch..." Adrei twirled her tongue. "This is going to last for a while."

Another fiery show of dominance, another whimpering show of submission.

-----------------

991 yawned on the horseback.

"My function as an Android...wasted. Why must I have the capability to feel tired?"

She stretched her limbs, listening to the wind’s chorus.

Well, the chorus sounded...different today. More taboo-like. More passionate. More...uncontrolled.

Her brows furrowed. "It would seem Dragons really are all perverts, huh?"

She must update the <Motherbrain>’s database if she had the chance to meet her again.

991 hummed as her legs tapped the horseback.

The passionate wind continued to blow, and sounds of lips smacking never ceased.
