The Reaper's Wicked Obsession -
Chapter 138: Cause And Effect
Chapter 138: Cause And Effect
Isadora gave up fighting, it was pointless.
Everything spun in her vision and she prayed Kraven would stop walking before she emptied her stomach. There was nothing in there to begin with, her guts would be coming out instead.
Kraven didn’t stop until he got back to his bed chamber and dropped her on the bed. He observed as she clenched her stomach and covered her mouth.
It was obvious she did not eat anything before she went to the training ground for a fucking penalty.
What in the olden gods’ name was she thinking?
Just the thought of what Nyssa did caused him to thirst for blood. He was very close to tearing her to pieces right in front of everyone and then proceeding to cut the warriors’ heads.
The gods saved Nyssa, all of them.
They should be thankful he was more focused on getting to his little bunny who had the audacity of leaving him.
She was in so much trouble. His mind altered the ways he would punish her. He was counting on every single one of them. He would teach her not to do something like that again.
Kraven grabbed the wooden jug on the nightstand, turned the contents into the cup, and shifted it to her. "Drink."
At his command, Isadora eyed the cup he held out and then moved to his silver eyes but she quickly looked away not wanting to linger further, fearing the sensations that settled in.
"What’s that?" she forced out the words.
"It’s my seed."
Isadora blinked in confusion but then the realization struck her hard. She snapped her eyes back to him mortified. ’He can’t be serious.’
Kraven chuckled deeply amused. "It’s a tonic, love. But if you’re good I’ll consider giving you something better."
"I’m not drinking that," Isadora said sternly, it doesn’t matter what it was, she wasn’t taking that!
"I wasn’t asking, love." He gripped her jaw in a swift movement, pried her lips open, and forced the drink down her throat.
Kraven’s teeth ground together because of the view of her struggling and gagging the tonic down, her wide ambers fixed on him.
His mind played this scene in a much better way.
Isadora finally managed to pull away from him, coughing as her face frowned at the bitter taste.
She glared at him but stilled when she met his silver eyes, the very ones she was trying to avoid, and the way they looked at her. Gods! The hunger in them caused her heartbeat to race.
It was terrifying.
"I-I need to go home," she mumbled, suddenly eager to get away but his hand grasped her throat. stopping her before she could move.
His lips crashed down on hers, hungry and desperate. His tongue moved skillfully to erase every bitter taste in her mouth.
A deep moan broke from Isadora, the feeling of his lips was euphoric and it caused the sparks to fly in her head, especially when he deepened the kiss, eager for more taste like a starved man. As if he hadn’t ravished her lips all through the night.
Desperate not to drown again, and ignoring the way her body reacted to his touch, Isadora pushed him off with all her might.
She rushed to the door at the momentary distraction but she didn’t take up to two steps as Kraven grabbed her waist in a bruising hold and yanked her to his arms.
"Even in my presence you dare to leave?" he said to her ear, his tone heavy mirroring how angry and starved he was.
The need to taste her lips again, feel her silky skin under his touch, and have her quivering beneath him. He didn’t have enough last night and only stopped when he wrecked her body to exhaustion.
Isadora struggled to get off him and he let go as she stumbled forward and sharply turned to him with a furious look in her eyes.
"That’s a completely different look than you had last night..." he mused. "Your eyes were passionate and now it looks like you want to bury your blade deep in my chest."
"I do!" She seethed.
"Then what’s stopping you, love? Or have you changed your mind?"
She froze at his words. Have she?
"You want your monster to live?" He chuckled. "Even though I’m still debating on keeping you alive."
He closed the distance between them in a heartbeat. "And trust me, little bunny, I’m very tempted to keep you breathing. I’ve got a new addiction now..." He placed a hand on her chest, feeling her heart pulsing beyond control.
It was music to his ears, a contradiction to his personality knowing he always relished in the still heart of a being.
Isadora’s breath grew ragged as she took a step back. His words shouldn’t have affected her but they did.
The way he looked at her. Gods! The way he looked at her, like a man about to lose his goddamn mind.
What’s wrong with him?
This got her scared because it felt like his obsession was turning into something else.
’No!’ she thought. ’Don’t fall for it.’
Kraven loved the conflicted emotions blooming in her eyes, but he wondered why because last night she surrendered to him completely but now she was fighting it.
Suddenly his eyes took notice of something. Earlier she had moved perfectly, there was no trace of the bite marks he had carefully given up to her chin and neck.
There was none of his marks or any trace of his touch like she had erased every thought of him.
"You healed yourself," He said in a slow tone, choosing his words carefully before they came out as nothing but growls.
Something inside him snapped. The thought of her not having any imprint of him made it feel like last night was a dream.
"H-How else am I supposed to walk if I don’t?"
"That was the point of it, love," he said. "I should’ve made my intentions more clear."
