The Reaper's Wicked Obsession
Chapter 132: What The Noon Holds

Chapter 132: What The Noon Holds

The sun at its peak shone brighter, drowning everything in its golden glow.

The rays streamed through the windows, reflecting in the spacious room.

Isadora was fast asleep, her breath slow and steady. Feeling the hotness of the sun against her back she stirred awake. She groaned trying to fight her way back from the realms of sleep.

Her body felt too tired to open her eyes, she hoped to go back to sleep but the sudden discomfort forced her awake, the need to shift away from the sunray.

Isadora slowly opened her eyes, everything blurred at first not until she closed them briefly to get them to adjust. Her ambers slowly widened as she took in the view.

Her lips parted and a soft gasp escaped her as she relished the sight of Kraven fast asleep beside her.

Something she considered impossible. She had never seen him asleep but now she did a warmth filled her heart. It was indeed a one-time view she would pray to see again.

Gods! They did it till morning. Kraven didn’t give her a moment to rest until she passed out. He may be a beast but a beast got tired too, and he was completely knocked out.

A smile found her lips, as she observed his sleeping form, it was hard to imagine that someone as dangerous as him would look so innocent when sleeping.

She couldn’t take her eyes off him as she studied every inch of him, his shaded silver hair was messy but still found a way to look perfect, with all the strands pointing in different angles.

His thick black eyebrows, a scar just at the right. His eyelashes were so dark like ink.

Her eyes moved to his pointed nose and then those kissable lips, focusing more heavily on them than intended, and remembering how they tasted when she initiated a kiss, they were softer than she expected.

Her attention fell to his sharpened jawline, the thick scar on his chin flowing down to his chest.

She had always wondered how he got such a grotesque scar, she had assumed it was a criminal brand but having known him she knew no one would dare to mark his skin.

So who or what gave him that scar?

Isadora gulped as she reached for him, eager to touch him, the need to feel his skin, his scars were too hard to resist. She was stunned by her desire to feel him.

She shouldn’t want but how could she resist? He had let her touch him last night, maybe he would again.

But then the horn blasted, it was faint from here but she was quick to catch the sound.

She froze and looked over her shoulder, her eyes widened at the realization. Judging from the intensity of the sun it was almost noon!

She hasn’t reported to the training ground yet!

In panic, Isadora sat up with a start but a powerful pain struck through her body, the same way the entire place spun for a fleeting moment.

She bit her lip to keep from crying out, her chest heaved as she tried to steady her breathing. Her entire muscles felt sore and the weakened sensation from her thighs almost caused her to cry out in discomfort.

Her neck hurt from his bites, her nipples sore, and there was no part of her body she didn’t feel without groaning in pain. Every discomfort and sensation was a reminder of Kraven’s obsession.

She couldn’t stay here, even if she wanted to. She had to report to the training grounds or else there would be a penalty.

Isadora moved her hands and summoned her weaves, giving her body the healing it needed, just enough to walk on her two feet.

Thank the gods for this gift! It wasn’t a curse at this moment but a welcomed one. It just saved her from crawling her way out.

A cold chill shut up her spine. ’Did Kraven think of this?’ She shook her head, shoving the thought away.

"Almadra," she murmured as she stood to her feet, her legs unstable and she almost dropped back to the ground if she hadn’t steadied herself properly.

Gods! It was hard, her legs were trembling so badly. But she tried to adjust as best as she could.

Releasing a sharp breath her eyes skimmed for her nightgown but found it ripped to shred and discarded.

When did that happen?

The more she tried to think about last night the more she had short-term memory loss, she can’t remember most of it but her body did.

Just like he promised.

Even now she was tempted to go back and lie down but she resisted the urge.

She gulped, searching for her cloak, and found it on the ground. Thankfully it was still intact, causing a relief sigh to release from her.

Isadora tiptoed to it and grabbed the cloak, boots, holster, and dagger. She hurried to the living room, grabbed Kraven’s tunic on the bed and put it on, wore her boots, and flapped on the cloak to cover up more.

Isadora mentally prayed no one would see her like this, she definitely didn’t look appealing, it was very obvious what her body went through.

The mere thought of anyone seeing her like this would make her die of embarrassment. Fixing her hood properly she walked out of Kraven’s residence.

The stairs were demons set to ruin her, her legs almost giving out with each step.

Taking a breath of relief after accomplishing the impossible, she adjusted her collar once more and hurried her walk, rushing out of the corridors and taking paths to the stone bridge lit by lanterns.

Her erratic eyes scanned for denizens, but thankfully there were none at the moment. She just had to move quickly to avoid eyes.

Suddenly she bumped into someone, the force causing her to stumble backwards. Her hood slipped off in the process.

Her amber eyes locked with cold blue eyes and her heartbeat momentarily stopped.

"Nyssa!"
