Chapter 116: Almadra Should Be Pleased (2)
Isadora inhaled sharply when Kraven suddenly closed the distance between them. She responded by going backward until her back met the wooden column.
Eyeing the wood that had trapped her, she brought her gaze back to the terrifying Fae with a presence identical to the god of death.
His face was just inches away from hers. This closeness suddenly created a strong sense of deja vu. Last night bloomed in her mind and desire drowned her gaze.
Would he touch her like that again?
The mere thought of it caused her pulse to race, and her chest heaving profusely. It still hurts, would he make it hurt more?
She blushed. She wasn’t sure she could take it. Would he not make it hurt then?
Kraven’s teeth clenched, the vein under his jaw bulging. He didn’t need a third eye to tell him her thoughts because her big ambers vividly showed everything.
His little bunny was having sinful thoughts, and the need to erase them and replace them with things she least expected.
He was always in for surprises and the fear that bled through her gaze... knowing he would control everything, break her until she begged.
Until her body yielded for him.
And he would enjoy bleeding her dry as he did, watching the life dull from her eyes in the last moments of ecstasy.
Kraven’s body tensed at his thoughts. His thirst was mingling with his desire.
That was not a good sign.
His irritation grew, his hand above her head gripping the wood hard, on the verge of breaking it to pieces.
Here she was... his little bunny, waiting for something, having no idea how much he wanted to ruin her until nothing was left of her.
"Did you come here to get Logi off your back or did you come to ask for something else?" he asked in an icy tone.
She opened her mouth to speak but he didn’t let her.
"If it’s the first, the answer is no. Get used to it, that’s his fate now... to be your dog, and the latter..." His eyes descended to her lips, ones she bit like to purposely irritate him further.
She was doing things to him... things he did not like.
"I’m busy right now, get out." He leaned away and turned his back.
Isadora blinked in shock, completely taken off guard. Then a scoff escaped her, her eyes grew furious as she glared holes at his back.
What’s wrong with him? How could he act like this, when he was the one who left her alone in that corridor? Taking something from her as if he owned it and leaving her behind to pulverize.
Taking his entertainment. Like you would do a plaything.
The mere thought of that word caused her anger to rise. She shouldn’t have come here, even though it was to get Logi off her back, she should have endured it.
"As you wish, Lord Raven."
"I told you not to call me," he warned.
"I’m a warrior now, and you’re Lord Raven." She repeated the last word with more stress to irk him.
He can eat the title or shove it down his throat!
Isadora turned on her heels, eager to get away from him as further as possible but a heated blade pinned on the door. The hot steel burning a hole through the door.
She released a breathless gasp, turning her eyes to him. He was smiling. But his next words were a contradiction to his amused gaze.
"Call me that again and I’ll make you regret it."
"You’re insufferable!" she yelled and walked through the door, making sure she slammed it hard enough to burst his eardrums.
The echoing sound jolted Logi in alert, and pushed off the wall. "What happened?" he demanded, but retreated out of the way when Isadora stormed past him fuming.
"Hmm... I’ll take that as it did not go well."

Isadora kept her eyes on the target, her fingers hurting from stretching the bowstring for too long. But she was eager to make the hit this time.
Taking a deep unstable breath, she released the arrow but it pinned to the ground instead.
Not again!
She sighed in defeat, turning her eyes to Vanya who hit the target even though it wasn’t a bullseye.
"Don’t tell me I need to focus my aura on this too."
Vanya sneered silently and signed. "Of course you do, aura is our essence and from which we draw our strengths, think of it as a part of your body."
"I know," she mumbled.
Trying again, she focused her aura as explained. Her determined eyes on the red dot. She released her arrow but it didn’t hit the mark again.
"Maybe bows and arrows are not for me."
"Crowned warriors are meant to master all techniques, even though you aren’t good at it, having the idea is needed. It’s the rule."
Isadora sighed, for the hundredth time today. She thought training would end after becoming a warrior but it was far from it, being a warrior only meant they had to train twice as hard.
"You’re not holding your bow right."
Isadora turned her head to Rav walking toward them... shirtless.
Why does Almadra keep putting her in a difficult situation? She must favor the males a lot because they all look...
Her cheeks heated as her eyes admired how his muscles flexed with each step, his smooth tawny skin glowed in the sunlight. There was a spiral rune tattoo covering a part of his right arm adding to his attractive look.
Vanya nudged Isadora’s shoulder with hers to snap her out of it. "Don’t stare too much," she signed discreetly.
Rav was attractive, everyone knew that but Isadora shouldn’t have been too obvious, especially when Vanya knew she had feelings for him.
"I wasn’t!" she whispered.
"You were." Vanya enforced.
"Warriors."
"Commander," Isadora said, forcing a smile on her lips.
"Alda! I think I hate it when you call me that." He chuckled.
Her beat quickened because his words were similar to Kraven’s.
"B-But you’re my commander now."
"Just call me Rav, I prefer that."
