Chapter 367: Chapter 367 – Lizzy’s senseless questions.
"Mum, I’ll get your inhaler," the man said nervously, searching through the drawers where he usually kept one.
His mother suffered from cough variant asthma, which was typically relieved with a fast-acting bronchodilator inhaler.
After retrieving the inhaler, he handed it to his middle-aged mother, who took a few breaths and felt her cough subside within seconds.
"I think you need some rest. Let’s not discuss this anymore," he suggested, but his mother refused to comply and pleaded,
"Promise me you won’t attend the wedding as planned." She was concerned that her son might behave inappropriately at the wedding, potentially jeopardizing his reputation.
The man’s brow furrowed, his gaze darkening as he remembered the way Robin had belittled him on the phone earlier. Determined to teach him a lesson, he replied, "I will."
Fear filled his mother’s eyes, not wanting to see her son end up dead or in prison. Everything had been fine until he started making these discoveries and his curiosity grew.
"Jacob, Robin isn’t someone who goes looking for trouble, and he doesn’t take kindly to those who do," she warned.
Anger flashed in Jacob’s eyes, his expression growing darker. "Tell me about it. You seem to know him so well, even though you’ve never been by his side."
Sorrow flickered in his mother’s eyes as she remembered her own past misdeeds. It seemed like karma was catching up to her. Perhaps it wouldn’t be Jacob who ended up in prison, but her instead.
"Don’t attend that wedding, and don’t do anything foolish," she advised, her eyes filled with fear.
Jacob’s eyes narrowed as he recalled the time his hacker infiltrated the cameras at Robin’s office.
He had never seen a woman like Sabrina before – beautiful and intelligent. What made her even more attractive was her refusal to immediately believe Gladys.
Though Jacob was hurt, her actions drew him to her even more. That was before Robin’s hacker managed to remove Black Storm from the equation.
He also has the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on. I will attend that wedding. After all, he doesn’t know me," Jacob said with determination.
The woman believed that by continuously threatening him, she could keep him away from Robin. However, unbeknownst to her, that was exactly what fueled his actions.
"I don’t want to lose you, please. Just stay away from him," she pleaded, but her words fell on deaf ears.
"I’m sorry, Mom, but that’s not going to happen," he said defiantly.

It was Daniel and Lizzy’s wedding day.
"Lizzy, your six flower girls have arrived," Matilda informed her excitedly. Their honeymoon had been exquisite.
Devin kept his promise, and the love and passion were back in their relationship. Since returning from their honeymoon a week ago, Matilda had not been to school.
Instead, she had been helping with Lizzy’s wedding plans but intended to focus on her business plans after the wedding.
Furthermore, she had been doing everything she could to prove to Devin that she truly loved him and would never go back to being the unstable woman she once was.
Secretly, she regretted choosing school over her baby in the past, but that had changed. She would never allow anything to come between her and Devin again.
Slowly, she was earning back Devin’s trust, and that made her incredibly happy. Her father couldn’t miss Lizzy’s wedding due to the bond they had formed as in-laws.
"Can I take a peek?" Lizzy asked excitedly. She had always loved flower girls and had requested six of them, along with six page boys.
She had designed their outfits, including her own wedding gown, and Devin had helped with the page boys’ attire.
Lizzy felt a pang of sadness when Devin refused to let her design and sew Matilda’s wedding gown, but she understood that he wanted to impress his future wife.
"I think you should focus on your makeup instead," Sabrina advised, signaling the beautician to do her job.
Spending the night with her sister and best friend after moving in with Robin had been amazing, and she loved it.
She was overjoyed that Matilda had regained her senses and their family was once again happy.
However, she couldn’t help but wish that their mother was alive to witness this day, as Lizzy looked stunning.
Their father, too, was content and fulfilled, witnessing his children finding love and getting married.
After the turmoil between Sabrina and Robin, the family had lost hope in love.
However, it was through that broken marriage that they all found the happiness they deserved.
For example, if Sabrina’s marriage hadn’t been rocky, she wouldn’t have returned to help clear Matilda’s name, and Devin wouldn’t have married her.
Additionally, Daniel may never have met Lizzy due to Sabrina’s distance from the family at that time. So, all the negative experiences turned out to be blessings in disguise.
As Sabrina looked at her sister’s excitement and beauty, she couldn’t help but regret not marrying Robin when he proposed.
However, considering her current pregnancy, she felt it was better to wait until after the twins were born.
"I feel like the happiest woman on earth. I can’t believe I’m getting married after only dating for a short time," Lizzy exclaimed, her happiness overflowing as she gazed thought about Daniel.
"I know. Life is unpredictable," Sabrina smiled, recalling the difficult times they had faced together. It truly was an incredible turn of events.
"So, are you still sexually active? I mean, your bump keeps getting bigger," Lizzy asked out of the blue.
Everyone’s eyes widened at her question, as if she were a teenager. Sabrina didn’t blame her, as Lizzy hadn’t been around pregnant women before.
"Don’t worry, you’ll find out when you get pregnant," Sabrina replied, feeling shy about revealing that sex during pregnancy was even better for her.
However, with the beauticians present, she kept her thoughts to herself.
Still, Lizzy couldn’t let go of her curiosity and asked senseless questions, eliciting a strange reactions from everyone in the room, as they gawked at her...
