At a secret location, a man seethed with anger and commanded, "Gain unauthorized access to the cameras in his office. I want to know every detail. And as for that girl, ensure her demise."

"Yes, boss," the man sitting beside him reluctantly replied. He disagreed with the order but had no choice but to comply.

Several hours later, the man was drenched in sweat, feeling defeated. "Boss, his hacker is incredibly skilled. I can’t break in."

Enraged, the man bellowed,

"Then what good are you? If you can’t succeed, consider yourself fired. She must face the consequences of her disobedience. I need to know how much information she has leaked."

The man wanted to defend the girl, but fear held him back. Trembling, he apologized,

"What about the tracking devices in her possession? Monitor her whereabouts and station someone nearby. Kidnap her and bring her to me. She will learn the consequences of betraying me."

The man beside him reached for his phone and made a call, a sneer forming in his heart.

’How can she betray you when you were the one who forced me to harm her and falsely accuse her?’ He dared not voice those words aloud.

"I’m on it, but sir, Mr. Jewel is an honorable man. What has he done to deserve this? If we’re not careful, our actions will backfire, and he will seek revenge," he timidly expressed.

"Fool!" the man yelled, sending shivers down his subordinate’s spine. "If he’s so honorable, then he must return everything he took from me. I will reclaim it all, even his pregnant ex-wife."

Gasping for breath, the man’s fury still burning, he continued, "You know nothing. Once I’m finished with him, you’ll understand."

At Robin’s office

Dan had a feeling it might be Mara, but he couldn’t shake off the suspicion completely. He wanted to catch the culprit as soon as possible.

Robin turned to the girl and instructed, "sit down." Then, he turned to Greg, the security guard, and said, I will call you when needed. Greg nodded and left the office.

A few minutes later, Dan announced,

"I have deactivated the cameras, including the tracker in her panty."

The girl froze, and Robin was shocked. He doubted that she had lied to him because she seemed genuinely shocked. She asked, "What?"

"Did you buy the clothes yourself?" Robin asked and she shook her head,

"No. they were delivered to me at the hotel."

"Alright. Can you describe the driver to a sketch artist?" Robin asked. The girl nodded quickly, and Robin smiled internally.

With a description of the driver, they could find him and ask him some questions. Robin turned to Dan and asked,

"Have you eaten yet? It’s going to be a long night."

Dan shook his head. He had been looking forward to Lizzy making him dinner as she had promised, but Robin’s call had ruined his plans.

However, he understood the urgency of the situation. "No. Why don’t you order food? I’ll contact the artist," Dan suggested. Robin agreed, saying,

"Sounds like a plan."

Robin realized that he didn’t know what the girl liked and asked her, "What would you like to eat?"

The girl was shocked. Why would she eat when she was just a few meters away from death?

"Don’t worry about me. Corpses don’t eat," she lowered her head and said.

Robin shook his head, understanding that she had already accepted her fate.

"I’m not going to harm you. I will send you to a safe place, but you will be disguised so he won’t be able to find you."

Hope returned to Glady’s heart as light shone in her eyes. She regretted agreeing to do as the man said, but she didn’t have a choice.

She also wasn’t familiar with New York City and had no idea who Robin was. However, she feared that he might be tricking her and asked, "Why are you helping me?"

"Because you are innocent. Just make sure you give the artist an accurate description when he arrives."

Convinced that he wasn’t tricking her, the girl smiled and said, "Yes, sir. Thank you. I want fries and chicken nuggets."

Robin furrowed his brows at her choice but placed the order. The food arrived first, so Robin called Sabrina and Lizzy to join them. They were just chatting anyway.

During the meal, the artist arrived, and Robin signaled the girl to begin the description.

It took a total of five hours for the artist to sketch, draw, and put all the details together. By the time he was done, it was already past midnight.

"Miss, does this match your description?" the artist asked Gladys.

She nodded her head. "Yes, that’s him."

The artist handed the drawing to Robin, but as he examined it closely, there was no resemblance in his mind as to who it was.

"Where did you meet him?" he asked Gladys.

"In California."

"Do you know his name?" Robin asked again.

"I’m sorry, I don’t," the girl said honestly.

Robin paid the artist and said, "Thank you, you can go."

He made another call, and two men entered his office. They threw a bag at the girl.

"Change up and let’s go."

Lizzy escorted her to the washroom, and when she came out, nobody could tell she was a girl. She looked like one of the other men.

Gladys was confused until Robin explained, "They will ensure that you have a new identity in a different state."

Her heart jumped, and she was overwhelmed with gratitude. She didn’t die today as she had expected and was given the opportunity to live.

"Thank you, Mr. Jewel. I will never forget your kindness. Mrs. Jewel, thank you very much," she said to Sabrina, knowing her name due to the hours of interaction when the artist was drawing the man.

After she left, Daniel asked Robin, "How do we find him when we don’t have a name?"

A smirk formed on Robin’s face as he gave his reply.
