Chapter 351: Chapter 351 - Every woman is different
Seeing disappointment flash in Sabrina’s eyes, Robin was relieved that she shared his frustration with the interruption. He winked at her and said,
"Don’t worry. I’ll call him after I give you what you deserve," in a seductive tone. Sabrina blushed, her cheeks turning crimson.
She didn’t respond verbally, but her smile spoke volumes as Robin proceeded to give her the most pleasurable morning experience of her life.
After they both collapsed onto the bed, panting and satisfied, Robin reached for his phone and dialed Devin’s number. As soon as Devin answered, he began speaking.
"Robin, Matilda wants to spend time at the villa with Sabrina. Will that be okay with you?" Devin asked from the other end of the line.
Robin felt a twinge of annoyance at the question, as he had already informed them previously that they were welcome to visit the villa anytime.
However, he understood the importance of ensuring Sabrina was comfortable with the idea. He responded,
"The villa belongs to my wife, so I have to ask her first."
Devin smiled on the other end of the line but remained silent as Robin muted the phone. He turned to Sabrina and asked,
"Matilda wants to come and visit. Should she come?"
Sabrina smiled, hoping that Matilda had changed her mind. She also felt that they had a lot to discuss.
"Of course, she is still my best friend," Sabrina said.
Unmuting the phone, Robin to responded to Devin. "You can bring her over and we can all have a chat."
Devin sensed a misunderstanding and quickly clarified,
"Robin, you don’t understand. She wants to spend the weekend at your place."
Robin paused, considering whether to ask Sabrina again. However, based on his earlier response, he assumed that Matilda’s desire to be with Sabrina stemmed from the challenges she was facing in her relationship.
Despite the situation being Matilda’s fault, Robin believed that family was important and they would always be there for her.
"I don’t think Sabrina would mind. You can both spend the weekend here. If things aren’t okay between you two and you want to sleep in different rooms, we can arrange that too."
Devin smiled on the other end of the line, appreciating the support of family.
"Thank you, and please prepare extra breakfast. We’re on our way."
Robin chuckled as the call ended, then turned to Sabrina and said,
"They’ll be having breakfast with us and staying for the weekend, so I’ll talk to the chef."
Getting up from the bed, Robin headed to the closet to get dressed. Sabrina stood up and declared,
"I’m coming with you."
Robin smiled, touched by her desire to be by his side. He waited for her, and together they walked out hand in hand, both wearing bright smiles.
The chef was serving breakfast when Devin arrived with Matilda.
Judging by the expressions on their faces, it was clear that things were still strained between them.
Matilda forced a smile when Sabrina hugged her, but her eyes betrayed her guilt. If only she had listened to Sabrina earlier, none of this would have happened.
Sabrina’s heart warmed when she saw Robin embracing Devin. It seemed like they were slowly growing closer.
"Let’s eat first," Robin suggested, and everyone agreed. In order to not dampen anyone’s appetite, they all focused on their food.
It wasn’t until they had finished eating that Sabrina spoke up.
"Tilda, let’s go to the garden. It’s beautiful there, and it has all my favorite flowers."
Matilda smiled and followed her, while Devin stayed behind in the living room with Robin.
"So, how did it go?" Robin asked Devin.
Devin managed a weak smile and replied,
"She suddenly wants us to get married."
Robin’s eyebrows shot up, surprised by the unexpected turn of events.
"Well, that’s good news, isn’t it?" he asked rhetorically.
However, Devin’s response wasn’t as enthusiastic as Robin had anticipated.
"It should be, but I’m scared. She wants to put her education on hold, and I’m afraid that if she goes back to school after having the baby, history will repeat itself."
From the way the conversation was going, Robin deduced that Devin had regained control of the relationship and refrained from giving any advice.
Instead, Robin asked, "So, what did you tell her?"
"I asked for time. Do you think it’s the right thing? I wanted to talk to you about it, and she kept saying that she didn’t want to give birth without marriage," Devin explained.
Robin found the situation dicey. If Matilda had truly changed, then that would be great. However, if it was just because of the pregnancy, Robin suspected that it could pose more problems in the future.
However, Robin did not want to overthink things. Devin and Matilda were already in love, but she was just influenced by the things happening around her at school.
Robin comforted him, saying, "Every woman is different. Since you love her, you have nothing to lose."
"But I’m afraid that she would regret it in the future when she meets her school friends again, so I refused to allow her to put her school on hold. She has to face her fears," Devin said adamantly.
Robin was filled with respect for him and suggested, "I agree, and I suggest that you linger around after dropping her off at school to see the kind of friends she has."
Devin’s face froze for a moment as he pondered, "Why didn’t I think of that earlier?"
He had never made an effort to get to know Matilda’s friends at school. If he had, he would have been aware of what to do and could have even advised her against associating with the wrong crowd.
Robin smirked, admiring Devin for his gentlemanly nature.
"Because you’re not as possessive as I am. When I want something, I go after it without fear of the consequences. Even though I was afraid that Sabrina might have stopped loving me, I was willing to accept that and spend the rest of my life seeking her forgiveness."
Devin chuckled, remembering the times when Robin would use Sabrina’s pregnancy as an excuse to stay by her side against her will.
He knew he could never do something like that. He listened intently as Robin continued speaking.
"The thing is, when I started giving her all the love in my heart without expecting anything in return, her love for me began to grow again."
Robin’s words sparked an idea in Devin’s mind, causing a smile to spread across his face. "I think I know what to do, but I’ll need a lot of help from you and my sisters."
"Anything for you, bro. I’m always here for you, but you have to fill me in on the plan first," Robin assured him. However, Devin suddenly froze and exclaimed,
"Oh no, I forgot something really important."
"What is it?" Robin asked, puzzled.
