Chapter 345: Chapter 345 – Stop pretending to be an Angel

Earlier.

"Hey Sabrina, how are you?" Shandra inquired, sipping on her Martini while Sabrina had a glass of fruit juice in front of her. Sabrina made sure not to even take a sip of the drink set before her.

Luckily, she had eaten to her heart’s content before leaving the house with Robin. At first, her eyes were fixated on the glass that separated her from Robin, and it warmed her heart to see him stealing glances at her.

The two bodyguards that Robin had brought with them stood a few meters away, giving Sabrina the privacy she needed, while two other bodyguards stood behind Shandra.

"I know you don’t really care," Sabrina responded with no emotion. Shandra remained unfazed, believing that this time she would finally have Robin.

Knowing Robin’s character, she was certain that once he saw those pictures, his affection for Sabrina would diminish, if not disappear completely.

"Are you sure about that? So, if I may ask, how far along are you in your pregnancy?" Shandra asked again, her prying eyes annoying Sabrina.

"It’s none of your business," Sabrina replied indifferently, but Shandra, being in a good mood, didn’t mind.

She decided to tease Sabrina about her past a little. "So, tell me, Miss Perfect, is Robin the only man you’ve ever loved?"

Sabrina frowned at the question, wondering what Shandra was up to. However, she had no intention of answering.

What is your involvement in my relationship?" Sabrina questioned, her tone filled with suspicion.

"It’s strange how Robin, have had numerous exes, yet you pretend to be an angel. Are you saying you’ve never loved anyone other than Robin?" Shandra probed, her words laced with skepticism.

However, Sabrina’s face contorted into a scowl as she responded.

"Even if I did, why should I share that information with you? You are not my friend, so if you don’t mind, please be quiet and let me enjoy the music," Sabrina retorted, her voice filled with annoyance.

Shandra’s sinister smile grew wider as she stared at Sabrina, clearly enjoying her discomfort.

"I hope that one day, you will find the courage to tell Robin the truth," she taunted.

Sabrina wanted to ask Shandra what truth she was referring to, but she decided against it, knowing it would only give Shandra the opportunity to continue her nonsense.

However, Sabrina’s silence only fueled Shandra’s anger, causing her to yell, "Stop pretending to be an angel when there is enough evidence to prove that you have been involved with another man!"

Unable to contain her fury any longer, Sabrina’s palm connected with Shandra’s cheek, the sound of the slap reverberating through the room, even amidst the loud music.

Shandra held her burning cheek, tears welling up in her eyes. Her bodyguards quickly moved towards Sabrina, ready to retaliate, while one of them attempted to return the slap Sabrina had given Shandra.

However, just as his hand was about to touch Sabrina, one of her bodyguards stepped in and issued a warning.

"How dare you try to touch our boss’s woman?" the bodyguard exclaimed.

"She slapped our mistress," Shandra’s bodyguard shot back, defending Sabrina’s actions. He positioned himself protectively in front of Sabrina, blocking the other bodyguard’s path.

"Well, if your mistress had the guts, she should retaliate herself. I might pretend I didn’t hear it, but your mistress provoked my boss’s woman with her words, and the slap was well-deserved," Sabrina’s second bodyguard spoke daringly, taking a protective stance beside Sabrina.

Shandra’s bodyguards were torn between wanting to retaliate with a fight and fearing the consequences of angering Robin.

The only solution seemed to be informing their boss about the situation.

Sabrina glanced at Robin through the glass once again, but he appeared busy examining something in an envelope.

"You slapped me in my casino?" Shandra suddenly found her voice and asked, to which Sabrina responded,

"You dare not make such accusations about me when we both know that you’re the one with multiple partners. I can’t help but wonder why you still want Robin after knowing that he has moved on."

"That is because Robin was always mine, and you and your father deceived him into marrying you. You intentionally donated your kidney to him to manipulate him, and now you are forcing another child on him when..."

No one anticipated Sabrina’s hand meeting Shandra’s cheek for the second time, her eyes ablaze with anger.

A tear escaped from Shandra’s eyes as her bodyguards failed to react quickly enough to shield her from Sabrina’s unexpected strike.

Sabrina’s own bodyguards stood protectively by her side, fearing for her safety and the consequences they might face from their boss.

Meanwhile, Shandra’s bodyguards could no longer tolerate the situation and rushed into the booth where Robin was conversing with Don Kane.

They announced, "Don Kane, our female guest has slapped the young mistress, and her bodyguards prevented us from intervening."

Robin’s brow furrowed slightly at the mere thought of anyone laying a hand on Sabrina.

"Consider yourself fortunate that you were not able to touch her," he responded icily.

Leaving the booth, Robin headed towards Sabrina, with Don Kane closely trailing behind.

As soon as the two bodyguards caught sight of their boss, they stepped aside, allowing Robin to quickly assist Sabrina and inspect her for any signs of harm.

"My queen, are you alright?" he inquired, and Sabrina nodded, replying,

"I’m fine. I just lost control when she provoked me."

"Tell me what upset you," Robin gently urged, surprising Don Kane, who had not expected Robin to remain so tender towards Sabrina after seeing those incriminating pictures.

Sabrina locked eyes with Shandra, who was now standing beside her father, and spoke without hesitation,

"She referred to my unborn child as a bastard, claimed that I deceived you with another man’s pregnancy, and trapped you by donating my kidney to save your life," Sabrina recounted, not mincing her words.

Robin’s gaze grew even colder as he stared at Shandra, his voice laced with a chilling warning,

"You have three days to prove that the child she carries is not mine, or else you and your father will leave this city, close down your businesses, and never return."

Shandra trembled at the weight of those words, unsure of how to extricate herself from the pit she had dug.
