Chapter 314: Chapter 314 – Why is she here?
Sabrina was enjoying this time with Robin, as he was indeed recreating the bitter memories into sweeter ones.
However, she knew that her father and Lizzy would be missing her as well, so she had not considered moving in with Cecilia.
"Grandma," Sabrina and Robin said together. Sabrina clamped her mouth shut, allowing Robin to take the blame since he seemed ready to do so.
The old woman was amazed by their simultaneous response, hoping that whatever brought them closer than before would continue to keep them together.
"The two of you spoke together, which means you are not in agreement with my plan," the old woman said.
Robin and Sabrina smiled at each other as Robin responded,
"It’s not like that, grandma. I am the father of the children and trying to bond with them and their mother. I also already told you that this villa is too far from both our houses."
Since Robin did not want Sabrina away from him, he still would not allow it, even if the distance was not a problem.
Even if he achieved his goal of remarrying Sabrina, he would still not allow her to live apart from him.
The sorrowful look on the old woman’s face made Sabrina feel guilty, so she proposed,
"Grandma, why don’t you come live with us in the villa during my third trimester? I’ll need a lot of help then. For now, I have the energy and I’ve only spent this week taking care of Robin."
Robin felt a pang of sadness at Sabrina’s suggestion, realizing that if Grandma was only moving in during the third trimester, it meant Sabrina planned to return to her father’s house.
This realization didn’t sit well with him.
However, he didn’t let the gloomy moment consume him. After careful thought, he devised another plan.
Judging by the change in Cecilia’s expression, he could tell they had successfully convinced her.
"Alright, I’ll make arrangements to move into the new villa. I hope my caretaker can come too," Cecilia said with a smile, concerned that Sabrina wasn’t eating the right food for a pregnant woman.
However, since the doctor assured Sabrina that her pregnancy was healthy, she only wanted the elderly woman with her. She wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about the woman’s obsession with her changing eating habits.
Robin had been doing a good job before he was shot, and Sabrina couldn’t help but feel proud and happy at the same time.
"Sure grandma, the new villa is even bigger than the old one," Sabrina smiled reassuringly. She had no idea how much her suggestions had pleased the elderly woman.
"Thank you, Sabrina. You have brought so much joy and happiness to this family. Now look, you’re not eating," the elderly woman observed once again.
Sabrina chuckled, starting to worry that this woman would spoil her with excessive amounts of food.
Before lunch arrived, the elderly woman began feeding Sabrina fruits, and they ate together.
They continued to chat until evening, finally leaving after having supper in the old villa as Cecilia had insisted.
It had been a fulfilling day for Sabrina. They had accomplished a lot, but she was also exhausted and ready to crash into bed.
On the way back, Robin noticed that Sabrina was beaming with happiness and decided to ask her a question.
"Do you really want grandma to move into the villa?" he inquired.
Sabrina nodded enthusiastically and replied, "She reminds me so much of my mother. Whenever I’m with her, I feel an overwhelming sense of joy."
Her words warmed Robin’s heart, and he was relieved to see that Sabrina hadn’t let his past mistakes affect her relationship with Ceceilia.
"I’m glad to hear that," he said sincerely.
The rest of the journey was filled with a comfortable silence, and once they arrived home and freshened up, they both retired to bed early.
Now that Robin was feeling better, he found solace in gently caressing Sabrina’s adorable baby bump as they lay in bed.
However, a slight worry crept into his mind when he remembered grandma’s comment about Sabrina’s bump being too small for five months. But after recalling the doctor’s reassurance during the recent scan, he felt a wave of relief wash over him.
The weekend flew by quickly, and before they knew it, Monday was already looming ahead.
Robin’s recovery was progressing faster than expected, and he attributed it to having Sabrina by his side.
He was grateful that Sabrina insisted on going for a review with the doctor, as it confirmed that he was indeed doing well.
The only discomfort he felt was from the sore, but it was gradually diminishing each day and was not unbearable for him.
He even managed to surpass Sabrina this time by waking up earlier.
"Sir, please allow me to handle it. Madam will not be pleased to see you cooking in this condition," Margaret pleaded with him.
She hurried to the kitchen when one of the maids informed her that the master was cooking against the madam’s orders.
Ever since Robin’s return, the workers in the villa not only respected him but also admired him for how he treated their Madam.
"Don’t worry, I just want to show my wife that I’m feeling better," Robin reassured in a gentle tone, leaving Margaret unsure of how to disagree.
This master had changed so much, and she couldn’t help but feel happy, knowing that her Madam’s efforts and patience had not been in vain.
"My queen, you will be late for work if you don’t wake up now," Robin softly reminded Sabrina as he entered the bedroom.
Sabrina was greeted by the enticing scent of English breakfast, causing her eyes to snap open and focus on the large tray in Robin’s hands, positioned right in front of her.
Reacting swiftly, she rose from her seat and took the tray from him.
"You shouldn’t be exerting yourself," she cautioned, but Robin simply smiled and replied,
"Thanks to you, I’ve recovered faster, so it’s time for me to take care of you again."
Unable to refuse, Sabrina accepted his offer, knowing that breakfast was already prepared. After enjoying their meal in bed, they proceeded to shower and get ready for work.
However, Sabrina made a detour to Robin’s office before heading to her own.
Upon arriving at the reception area, Robin was taken aback to find Shandra already waiting for him.
Earlier, Sabrina and Robin had coincidentally encountered Aria in the elevator, leading to a friendly conversation between Sabrina and Aria.
"Robin," Shandra’s eyes lit up, and she began to approach him, seemingly ready to embrace him.
However, he swiftly moved away, maintaining an impassive tone as he spoke.
"You came too early."
Shandra’s initial excitement quickly turned to disappointment as she noticed Sabrina’s presence, her gaze darkening.
She had already expected that this woman would once again ruin her plans, and she couldn’t let that happen. Irritated, she turned to Robin and inquired,
"Why is she here? Doesn’t she have work to attend to?"
