Chapter 313: Chapter 313 – Grandma Cecilia’s request

"Why does my trust mean more to you than my love?" Sabrina asked, eagerly awaiting his response.

Robin smiled and explained,

"Because I already know that you love me, but I also know it would be hard for you to ever trust me completely."

He became a little emotional as he recounted all the ways she had shown her love for him in the past, including personally ensuring his clothes were cleaned and had a specific scent.

Even if she was sleeping and he called, she would wake up and fulfill his every request without complaint, yet he had taken it all for granted.

"You loved me even when I was a jerk, so now that I’m still working on myself, I believe it would be even easier."

When Sabrina realized he was referring to past events, she quickly brushed them aside and said,

"Robin, it’s all in the past."

As long as she forgave him, she no longer held onto those memories. Besides, the incredible memories they were creating now were overshadowing the past.

Robin leaned closer and kissed her on the forehead, grateful that he wasn’t the one driving.

"I love you so much," he said sincerely before a thought crossed his mind. He asked, "So, when can we go to Paris?"

Although Sabrina was excited to see what he had planned in Paris, she couldn’t help but worry about the number of days they had already taken off work.

"We’ve been absent from the office for several days," she pointed out to Robin.

Robin acknowledged that she had a valid concern. Lizzy was now working with Devin, so it wouldn’t be wise to send her back to JC Minerals when her true passion was with JC Clothing.

Currently, Cobby was handling all the pressure in Sabrina’s absence, but she knew she had to go back and help out.

"Then let’s make the trip tonight. We can skip Rome and spend the weekend in Paris," Robin suggested, as the main surprise was in Paris. Rome was just for fun.

"Can we do it next week?" Sabrina asked, but seeing Robin’s smile fade a little, she decided to support his suggestion. "I’m worried because you’re still not fully recovered."

Robin had no choice but to agree with the fact that she had a good point.

"You are right. So, are we spending the next weekend in Paris?"

Sabrina nodded and smiled. Taking advantage of the moment, Robin stole a few kisses before they arrived at the old villa.

Lately, he had been at peace, feeling like the happiest man alive to be eating meals prepared by Sabrina once again.

He knew he didn’t deserve it, but she forgave him, which made her even more amazing and attractive to him. It motivated him to become a better person, just for her.

Although she wasn’t a chef, everything she touched felt different, bringing satisfaction and contentment.

Robin felt like there was nothing better. Even her kisses felt different, and the more she gave, the more he wanted from her, even more than she might be ready to offer.

The black steel gates opened as soon as they saw Robin’s car. Before the car reached the entrance of the villa, Cecilia had come to welcome them herself, looking much better than they had ever seen her.

"Grandma, you look amazing," Robin said with admiration, delighted to see Cecilia looking healthier and more youthful than her age.

"Yes, I’ve been taking good care of myself so that I can take care of my grandchildren. And how are you, my darling?" Cecilia turned to Sabrina, embracing her tightly as she asked.

Sabrina smiled; her heart filled with warmth as she found herself in the arms of this incredible woman once again.

Cecilia had been there for her during her toughest moments, and Sabrina would never forget the love and care she had received from her.

I’m fine, grandma, but I’m hungry," Sabrina honestly admitted. However, Robin wasn’t feeling well, so she didn’t want to worry him and kept her hunger to herself.

Unfortunately, her innocent remark unintentionally caused trouble for Robin, as the old woman glared at him disapprovingly.

"Robin, how could you neglect to feed your pregnant wife? It’s almost lunchtime already," she scolded.

Feeling guilty for not considering Sabrina’s hunger after she had emptied her stomach earlier, Robin pursed his lips, ready to apologize. But before he could speak, Sabrina interjected.

"No, grandma, we had breakfast together, but I vomited everything when I witnessed Mara and Martin’s torture," Sabrina explained.

The old woman felt a surge of happiness upon hearing the news and inquired, "So, how are they?" She didn’t expect a positive response but felt that what she heard was worse.

"They’re dead. It was a terrible ordeal," Sabrina replied, making the old woman happy.

However, she couldn’t comprehend something and turned to Robin, asking,

"Robin, how could you allow her to witness all that in her condition?" She then led them to the dining table but Sabrina responded once again.

"Grandma, I insisted on it, and besides, Robin is still recovering from a gunshot wound he took for me."

You were shot?" The old woman’s eyes reflected concern, but Robin reassured her,

"It’s nothing, grandma, I’m fine."

"Excuse me," Cecilia said, heading to the kitchen to instruct the maids to prepare Sabrina’s favorite dishes. She also brought some fruits as appetizers before adding, "Sabrina, don’t let him use this as an opportunity to sneak back into your life. He still has a lot to answer for."

Robin shook his head, perplexed as to why his own grandmother was making things so difficult for him.

However, Sabrina’s response caught him off guard and warmed his heart greatly.

"Grandma, Robin has changed. I no longer see him as my ex-husband, but rather as a very good friend," Sabrina said.

"Best friend," Robin corrected. Sabrina smiled, and Cecilia was shocked.

She had been testing the waters to see if Sabrina still held a grudge against Robin, so this revelation was heartwarming.

Sabrina agreed with Robin, saying,

"Yes, grandma, we are best friends now."

Cecilia had tears in her eyes as she hugged Sabrina once again before allowing her to sit. She began slicing the fruits for her.

"That’s good. So, how is the baby in the womb?" she asked. Sabrina smiled and revealed,

"They are twins, grandma, but we decided not to find out the sex for now."

Cecilia was overwhelmed. Not only was she going to have a grandchild, but she was going to have grandchildren.

"You’re already in your second trimester. Five months, right?" she asked curiously. Sabrina nodded.

"Right."

"I can’t believe you’re carrying twins. Your bump is so small. Move in with me, and let me take better care of you," she requested. Robin froze instantly, not liking the idea.
