Chapter 101: If she gets into trouble, the Yu Family will definitely not keep you around.
Shi Wei sat comfortably in the newly bought Maybach, propping up his chin and blowing smoke as he gazed towards the entrance of the residential area.
When that familiar figure gradually approached, he quickly stubbed out his cigarette and hurriedly got out of the car.
"Zhizhi." Shi Wei opened his arms and hugged the young girl, lightly inhaling the scent from her body, a touch of satisfaction glinting in his dark eyes.
It had only been a few hours since they last saw each other, yet he found it exceedingly difficult to bear. If possible, he really wanted to keep her by his side all the time, saving himself from the agony of longing.
"Why did you come over?" Yu Zhi turned her head to look at him, with a hint of joy in her eyes.
Although she said she could go home by herself, the feeling of being constantly thought about was undeniably different.
Shi Wei kissed her cheek, "I missed you."
He was always like this, never hiding his thoughts, always expressing them outright.
Despite having heard similar words many times, a layer of blush inevitably spread over Yu Zhi’s ears.
She pursed her lips, glancing around, "Let’s get in the car first."
"Okay." Knowing the young girl was feeling shy, Shi Wei didn’t continue to cling to her but released his hold.
He opened the passenger door for her and strapped her in safely before rounding to the other side.
The car moved forward slowly, and just as it was about to pass a computer store, a clear voice came to Shi Wei’s ears.
He parked the car on the side of the road, leaned over, and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, "What’s up?"
"I want to buy a computer." Yu Zhi slightly raised her almond eyes, her long lashes brushing over her lower eyelids, as a charming ripple appeared with a slight curve of her lips.
Shi Wei softly responded, his gaze burning as he stared at her lips, as he pressed his forehead against hers, his large hand covering her cheek.
While caressing her smooth, tender skin, he tilted his head slightly and captured that softness with his lips.
Yu Zhi blinked, a trace of confusion in her eyes. She only wanted to buy a computer, yet somehow, this person suddenly leaned in for a kiss.
"Focus." Shi Wei, dissatisfied with her distraction, gave her a small bite as a punishment.
The atmosphere inside the car gradually turned ambiguous, the chaotic breaths rushing forth uncontrollably.
Not until the person in his arms went limp, leaning against him, did Shi Wei finally halt his actions.
He tenderly wiped the slightly swollen lips, an intense smile in his eyes, "Be good, wait for me in the car."
Seeing him walk into the store, Yu Zhi lowered the passenger-side vanity mirror, gently stroking her lower lip as a bright smile spread across her face, almost leaping out.
Before long, Shi Wei returned with a brand new laptop in hand. He handed her the package, "It’s the same model as the one you used before."
"Mm, thank you." His thoughtfulness sent a warm current flowing through Yu Zhi’s whole body.
Shi Wei affectionately ruffled her hair, "No need to say thank you to your boyfriend, got it?"
Though thanking someone is basic politeness, he thought it only made the relationship seem distant.
"Then what should I say?"
"If you really want to thank me, then—" Shi Wei gestured to his cheek with his fingertip, smiling casually with raised eyebrows.
He watched the young girl’s eyes, and after a few seconds, thinking she wouldn’t give him that ’thank you gift.’
His sleeve was suddenly tugged by a small hand, followed quickly by a warm and gentle touch on his right cheek.
After Yu Zhi swiftly gave him a kiss, she turned around, leaning against the seatback, curling her fingers as her lashes fluttered.
Taking in all her little movements, Shi Wei chuckled softly, and throughout the drive home, he was in an exceptionally good mood.
In the living room, just as Yu Zhi opened the laptop to download some software, the phone on the table began buzzing incessantly.
She cast a glance at the caller’s name indifferently and continued fiddling with the computer, letting it buzz away.
"Zhizhi, not going to answer?" Shi Wei set a glass of yogurt by her hand.
Yu Zhi shook her head, taking a big gulp from the glass as her eyes half-closed in contentment, clearly enjoying the flavor.
"Let me try." Shi Wei sat beside her, naturally wrapping an arm around her slender waist, resting his chin on her shoulder.
Upon hearing this, Yu Zhi paused slightly, and a visible flush quickly crept up her cheeks. She murmured, lowering her voice, "You just kissed earlier."
He had kissed her for quite a while in the car.
"Does Zhizhi want me to kiss you?" Her bashful demeanor made Shi Wei unable to hold back a laugh.
He merely wanted a taste of the yogurt, but the young girl misunderstood his intention.
Yu Zhi pondered for a moment, then turned around, speaking seriously, "If you kiss too long, you’ll get uncomfortable."
She was merely considering his well-being, otherwise...
Yu Zhi glanced at her right hand, unobtrusively moving it to her side.
"Alright, no more kissing." The curve of Shi Wei’s lips refused to fade, thinking he was utterly smitten with her.
"Here, have a drink." Yu Zhi offered the glass to his lips, watching him finish the remaining yogurt from the spot she touched.
Just as she prepared to turn back to the computer, the phone began a new round of vibrations.
Yu Zhi, irritated by the sound, frowned, swiping the screen to answer the call in frustration.
But before she could speak, a torrent of curses erupted from the receiver.
"Ungrateful girl!"
"What did Xinman ever do to you, to make you act so harshly?! She is your sister after all!"
"You get yourself to the hospital this instant!"
Perhaps due to extreme anger, the once gentle and refined mask of Yu Baisheng was completely discarded, revealing his true colors.
Shi Wei, hearing Yu Baisheng’s insults, had a chilling gleam in his eyes. As he reached out, intending to snatch the phone, the person in his embrace held him back.
Yu Zhi smiled at him, leaning against his chest, speaking indifferently, "What, is she dead?"
"Yu Zhi!" On the other end, Yu Baisheng’s face turned extremely grim from her words: "If anything happens to Xinman, the Yu family won’t spare you!"
His voice was just too loud, so Yu Zhi moved the phone further away, speaking with a tone devoid of any warmth, "The Yu family is nothing."
"Alright, alright, alright!" Yu Baisheng’s blood pressure soared due to her brazen words, warning her in a low tone: "Yu Zhi, remember what you said today, and don’t regret it!"
The dial tone signaled the call’s end, and Yu Zhi arched an eyebrow, tossing the phone aside with a sigh: "Really pointless."
"Zhizhi, what happened today?" Shi Wei reined in the ferocity within his heart, softening his tone a touch.
