The Mighty Mage -
Chapter 84: Quinn
Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Quinn
The room fell into a hushed silence as the old lady began to cultivate, her movements fluid and graceful.
The young man and the maid watched in awe as a faint aura began to emanate from her, enveloping her in a soft glow.
The young man’s anxiety grew with each passing moment, his worry for his grandmother’s safety escalating.
He glanced nervously at the maid, who remained composed, her confidence unwavering.
With gritted teeth, he said to the maid,
"Just you wait! Once those pills prove to be unhealthy I would kill you and the person who made this pill."
The maid ignored the young man and kept on looking at the old lady.
The young man was even more angry,
"Hey, you! I am talking to you!"
The maid still didn’t look at the young man.
"You clearly want to harm my grandmother and hence you gave her the tranquility pill! And that is too of such low quality!
Apprentice level? How could the pills that are at the Apprentice level be good? Even if you want to pretend to be nice, at least give her some high-quality pills just god knows from which gutter you have picked those pills!..."
Suddenly, the old lady opened her eyes, and a serene smile graced her lips.
She looked at her grandson with eyes filled with calmness.
"It worked," she said softly, her voice carrying a sense of peace that hadn’t been there before.
The young man’s eyes widened in astonishment.
"Grandma... you’re okay?"
The old lady nodded, her smile widening.
"More than okay. I feel... rejuvenated as if a burden has been lifted from my shoulders. These tranquility pills even though are at a low level, have a unique kind of energy."
Relief flooded through the young man as he realized that the pill had indeed brought positive effects on his grandmother.
Suddenly he thought of something and became alert,
"Grandma, what did you say?"
"I feel that..."
"No! No! Not what you felt! What unique energy?" The young man asked.
He was starting to wonder whether the pill have some side effects.
The old lady paused, considering her grandson’s question carefully.
She took a moment to gather her thoughts before responding.
"It’s hard to describe," she began, her voice thoughtful.
"But as I cultivated, I could sense a subtle energy within the pill, different from anything I’ve experienced before.
It’s as if the pill contains a power that resonates with my own energy, harmonizing with it and amplifying its effects."
The young man’s brows furrowed in concern as he processed his grandmother’s words
"But... is it safe, Grandma?" he asked, his tone tinged with worry.
"I mean, this ’unique energy’... could it have any adverse effects?"
The old lady considered her grandson’s question, her expression thoughtful.
"I can’t say for certain," she admitted.
"But I feel no ill effects from taking the pill. If anything, I feel more balanced and at peace than I have in a long time."
The young man was still about to say something when the old lady showed her hand to him and turned toward the maid,
"Quinn thank you. Even though it would have helped me more if the pills were of higher quality, nonetheless the calm that I am feeling can’t even be achieved by the high-quality pills I have taken so far.
If possible keep an eye on the alchemist, once he advances to Yellow Rank pills I am sure that these tranquility pills will be 2 times more effective.
Could I know from where you bought it?"
Quinn smiled and said,
"I was looking around in the market when I came across a small, unassuming shop tucked away in a corner," Quinn explained.
"The shopkeeper was distributing samples...."
"Oh my god! Did you just hand my grandmother some shady shop’s sample pills? Grandma let’s go to the hospital, right away!
I am scared! What if those pills may be giving good results now but will have adverse effects later on? We can’t take that risk!" The young man exclaimed, panic evident in his voice.
The old lady held up a hand, a calm expression on her face despite her grandson’s concerns.
"Wait, listen to me," she said firmly.
"Quinn has been with us for many years, and I trust her judgment. If she believes these pills are safe and beneficial, then I am inclined to believe her."
The young man’s eyes widened in disbelief.
"But Grandma, you don’t know where those pills came from! They could be dangerous!"
Quinn stepped forward, her demeanor composed and assured.
"I assure you, madam, the shopkeeper seemed genuine and trustworthy. He even had a PSA mark as well as certificates proving his rank!"
The young man’s panic began to subside slightly as he looked at Quinn’s unwavering confidence.
"But... what if something goes wrong?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly.
The old lady placed a hand on her grandson’s shoulder, her touch gentle and reassuring.
"We will monitor the situation closely," she said calmly.
"If there are any signs of adverse effects, we will seek medical attention immediately. But for now, let us trust in Quinn’s judgment and give these pills a chance to work."
Reluctantly, the young man nodded, still filled with worry but willing to trust his grandmother.
"Fine," he said quietly. "But if anything happens, I won’t hesitate to take action."
His words held a threatening tone that was directed at Quinn.
Quinn remained silent.
Only she knew what others didn’t...
Like Quinn and Song Hancheng, a few more people who tried the pills got to know the effectiveness of the pills and vowed to buy them the next day.
Gu Jin didn’t know that her marketing tactics worked and were busy cultivating her elements.

In Si Clan,
"Idiot! What do you mean that she vanished once she entered the alley? Is she some Superman?" Second Elder asked with irritation.
"Boss please believe me! We followed that girl named Gu Jin into the alley, but as soon as she entered, she disappeared without a trace," the subordinate explained frantically.
Second Elder’s expression darkened with frustration.
"Are you telling me that she just vanished into thin air?"
"Yes, Boss. It’s like she vanished into thin air," the subordinate confirmed, fear evident in his voice.
The second Elder clenched his fists in anger. "This doesn’t make any sense! How could she just disappear like that?"
"We searched the entire area, but there was no sign of her," another subordinate chimed in, his voice filled with uncertainty.
The second Elder paced back and forth, deep in thought.
"Did you check the surveillance camera?"
"Boss there was no surveillance camera in that area," the subordinate replied hesitantly.
The Second Elder’s frustration only grew.
"No surveillance camera? What kind of alley is this?!"
He paused for a moment, contemplating their next move.
"Maybe she was alerted and hence used some artifacts...but then again she is an orphan and just has arrived in Fu Jio city how could she have such an artifact...Maybe she has some backer....should I change the target." Second Elder muttered
Then he remembered Gu Jin’s face and became determined again.
Gu Jin was so beautiful that it was difficult to find another target as beautiful as her...
Not to mention the delivery date was nearing soon...
Before delivering Gu Jin to Young Master Sang, he planned to sell her virginity for 30 million. This would help him to fulfill Young Master Sang’s condition as well as earn a profit of 10 million!
He can’t give up!
If he was lucky, maybe he would be able to use Gu Jin before handing her to Young Master Sang.
"No," he decided firmly. "I won’t change the target. We’ve come too far to give up now."
He turned to his subordinates with a steely gaze.
"Go to her home address and kidnap her from there..."
"Boss...we don’t know her current apartment address..."
"What?" Second Elder felt his head aching.
"Boss after the previous apartment incident that girl bought an apartment but didn’t move in there."
"So is she living in some hotel."
"I have never seen her entering any hotel..."
Second Elder wanted to scold his subordinate.
What does he mean by she bought a property but didn’t move in, and doesn’t stay at any hotels.
Second Elder felt his subrodinates was too idiotic...
He simply sighed and said,
"Attack her before she reaches the alley."
"Okay, boss." The subordinates answered and left.
The second Elder closed his eyes and prayed that everything would go well.
He was earlier sure that the task would be as easy as making tea but now he was doubting whether the plan would be executed as originally planned...
"Just fall in my trap..." The second elder muttered with fatigue.

The Next day.
Gu Jin changed into Su Jin’s disguise and went to the store.
She had already prepared 30 more samples. Today she was going to distribute more samples and continue this tactic for 10 days.
