Chapter 54: Golden Sage Cauldron
Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Golden Sage Cauldron
Since the place was a bit isolated there was hardly anyone who looked toward Gu Jin or went near her to inquire if she was alright.
It was the month of July and the atmosphere was somewhat gloomy since it was a rainy season.
Gu Jin looked at the clouds and in a soft voice she said,
"You will cover it for me, right?"
No one responded to her.
However, after 5 minutes or so, rain began to drizzle lightly, as if in response to Gu Jin’s words.
The soft patter of raindrops against the ground provided a soothing backdrop to her thoughts.
As the rain intensified, Gu Jin closed her eyes and let the cool droplets wash over her.
"No...no... don’t do it! Don’t!" Gu Jin murmured.
A few flashbacks appeared in her mind,
"Ma’am trust me, everything will go well." A flattering voice said.
"Hahah! Did you really think that I would be loyal to an 8-year-old like you?" The same voice said.
"Ma’am I will stay by your side, forever." A sweet voice said.
"I...I...am...m...sor...rry....I...can’...t...sta...y...by...you...r....si..de...any...more..." The same sweet voice said.
"She will die within a few days without her parents." An arrogant voice said.
"Hmph! I heard that her parents died in a car accident while saving her. What a beast! Now she is all alone, servers her right!"
"Her parents could have been saved if she wasn’t there."
"What a monstrous child! In the next life, she will definitely be an orphan!"
In between those voices, a soft voice said,
"Jin, you have to live! Even if we die, promise me you will live well!"
Gu Jin covered her face and closed her eyes.
Like a pitiful animal, she stayed in one corner.
Even though those voices were being replayed in her ears time and time again, her eyes remained empty.
A strange kind of hollowness was present in her eyes.
When the rain stopped Gu Jin finally blinked and stood up.
She started walking forward as if she wasn’t the person who looked so vulnerable a moment ago.
Reaching her apartment, Gu Jin changed into a set of clean clothes and entered her space to cultivate.
Her Dark Fire Element’s Unyi first needs to be disintegrated before she can cast any spells.
Next 3 hours Gu Jin cultivated her Dark Fire Element followed by her plant element and then mana.
She then did some physical training and came out of space.
When she walked into the living room, she saw a parcel in Si Kai’s hand.
"Did you order something?" Gu Jin asked curiously.
Si Kai shook his head and was about to answer when he looked at Gu Jin with doubt.
"What happened?" Gu Jin touched her face suspiciously.
"Sister...you...I feel something is off..." Si Kai said with a bit of uncertainty.
"Maybe because I have become more powerful." Gu Jin said with a smug expression.
She waited for Si Kai to say something savage in return but Si Kai remained silent.
Suddenly he walked up to her and motioned her to bend down.
When Gu Jin bent down, Si Kai suddenly hugged her and patted her head. In a tone that of an elder he said,
"Did someone bully you sister? Tell me I will seek revenge for you."
Gu Jin blinked and her cold heart warmed a bit.
She chuckled,
"Who dares to bully your sister?"
Even though she acted strong, Gu Jin hugged Si Kai back.
Si Kai’s eyes turned cold but he said in a cheerful voice,
"Yup! But if someone dares to bully you just say it to me. I will take revenge for you when I grow up."
"Okay." Gu Jin happily agreed.
Si Kai hugged Gu Jin tightly and swore in his heart to teach those people a lesson who dared to bully his sister.
His sister may look as if she was fine, but he was able to see the same coldness he had once seen in his sister’s eyes when he had just met her.
It was as if she couldn’t feel any emotion at all.
"I am fine." Gu Jin pulled away and smiled.
Si Kai stared at her for a while and finally asked,
"Sister maybe someone has misplaced this package. This parcel belongs to someone named Su Jin."
Gu Jin’s eyes narrowed and she took the parcel,
"Give it to me I will transfer it back to the package company."
Si Kai nodded and passed the parcel to Gu Jin.
After having dinner with Si Kai, Gu Jin entered her room and opened the parcel.
There was a batch and a letter inside.
Gu Jin’s eyes narrowed in displeasure.
This Alchemy Tower’s elders are quite irritating.
Gu Jin opened the letter, wanting to see what bullsh*t those people had written.
’Su Jin, this is your alchemy batch, and don’t worry we didn’t investigate you. We asked a special beast to smell you and deliver the batch. Su Jin I understand that I shouldn’t have pushed you to reveal your details, I am sorry for my behavior earlier. But I do want you to know that you should consider giving us a chance to mentor you before pushing us away.’
Gu Jin’s hanging heart relaxed a bit and her impression of Old Wu improved a little.
She put away the letter and entered her space.
With no expectations, Gu Jin said,
"Furnace."
Nothing.
"Cauldron."
Whoosh.
A golden huge cauldron with 3 legs and 2 handles with intricate designs flew in front of her.
Gu Jin’s eyes widened in surprise.
Wasn’t this the Golden Sage Cauldron she had seen in the auction house?
Gu Jin remembered it clearly because of how costly and how much she wished to have it.
Touching the cold surface of Cauldron, Gu Jin was filled with emotion.
"Thank you so much space!" Gu Jin said with delight.
(Author: As if the space would reply! Huh!)
