After thinking for a while, he ignored the words of his dream self. Maybe it was all a dream.

Dreams are always made from the things a human has seen or suffered in his or her day.

Gu Jin saved him but in his dream, he claimed that she didn’t and almost let him die. Then the way he behaved to Gu Jin...it was too cruel. He would never behave in such a way.

Yes! It was all a dream! Long Yifan consoled himself.

A part of his brain had another theory though.

’What if it is true? What if Gu Jin indeed left you to die and focused on saving someone else? Maybe the other person was her husband? Or maybe he was her boyfriend?

However Gu Jin’s next words made Long Yifan’s heart skip a beat,

"Didn’t I come back to save you later?"

There was a hint of guilt in her tone.

Long Yifan couldn’t hear anything else, because soon his surroundings turned blurry and the voices faded.

When Long Yifan opened his eyes, he found himself in the tent.

The conversation he heard before seemed to reply in his mind. A hint of panic crept into his heart.

What if the dream was true and Gu Jin chose her husband over him?

’But then why would she listen to you?’ His heart questioned.

’He might if he knew that his love was married to someone else.’ His mind reasonably pointed it out.

The mere thought of Gu Jin becoming someone else’s wife made him angry.

’No! I can’t wait! I should just break off things with Gu Aihan and apologize to Gu Jin. If I apologize to her enough and love her for a lifetime, she might forgive me.’ He thought.

As for Gu Jin’s love...it was a luxury, Long Yifan couldn’t dare to think of.

Long Yifan hurriedly stood up with the purpose of breaking off the engagement with Gu Aihan.

As for Gu Jin, Gu Aihan thought that she was a temporary attraction to Long Yifan, otherwise, he should have taken some action, right?

Hence she secretly considered him as her property. One who would stay loyal to her, let her cheat, and listen to his scolding.

Though she knew a part of it was because of his mother, Gu Aihan conveniently ignored it.

Usually, Long Yifan would have listened to her words without saying anything. he would constantly think Gu Aihan was some idiot and he should just put up with it.

But this time Long Yifan’s mental state was not calm. Hence with a cold expression, he retorted,

Gu Aihan who turned to look at Long Yifan, saw the murderous intent in Long Yifan’s eyes and her heart chilled.

Cold sweat appeared on her forehead and she took a step back. But she was still a step too late, Long Yifan moved faster than her and wrapped his hand around her neck.

At that moment, all of Gu Aihan’s misconceptions about Long Yifan liking her seemed to have faded into nothingness.

The grip around her throat tightened, unrelenting, cutting off her breath with terrifying precision.
