Chapter 261: Underground Tunnel

Chapter 261: Chapter 261: Underground Tunnel

"Skelly 2 go and bring out all the corpses within the range of 1 km and clothes all well. It would be better if you bring some clothes from some clothes shop." Gu Jin ordered.

She couldn’t be stuck in one place. If she wants to get rid of the entire ordeal then...she will have to first make arrangements for this wave of parasites and then inspect the magic academy.

Within 20 minutes, Skelly appeared with lots of bodies and a black cloak. Gu Jin first searched for their belonging and put all the identities in her pocket.

Then she used the necromancy element and converted all of them into her skeleton army.

She asked half of them to join the battle and asked the other half to dig a hole in the ground and stretch it to the magic academy’s playground.

........

In an isolated underground area.

The underground area was a vast cave filled with water. It almost looked like a lake. In the center of the lake was a white platform.

A figure in a white cloak was doing meditation on the white platform.

At some distance from the figure, another figure in a pink cloak muttered,

"How long are you planning to mediate? If you hate Yuri and don’t want to be engaged to her, just say so. Do you think by meditating everything will change...Yifan?"

The pink-cloaked figure was none other than Jasmine.

And the white-cloaked person was Long Yifan.

"Sigh! I can’t truly rely on you. Anyway, I wish you luck and hope that this time you will be able to break through after all the university is going to open in the next 2 weeks."

.....

One hour later.

When the soldiers appeared again Gu Jin had already dug up an underground tunnel to the magic school academy’s ground.

What was surprising was, that her skeleton warrior found another underground tunnel.

Gu Jin thought for a while and decided to leave the battlefield when the number of parasites would drop from 500,000 to 50,000.

It wouldn’t take time since the number of parasites had dropped from 500,000 to 200,000.

The soldiers were pleasantly surprised and fought with even more enthusiasm.

Within the next hour, the parasite’s number dropped to 50,000 and now the parasites were starting to panic, yet they didn’t retreat.

Gu Jin withdrew her vines quietly, which was unfortunately seen by Ren Fulin and Feng Boyu.

However, Gu Jin didn’t have the time to ask Ren Fulin to keep it secret.

Ren Fulin followed the vines reaching where actually Gu Jin was, he heard Gu Jin instructing the black cloaked figures to help properly and saw Gu Jin run away after that.

He was sure that the person who helped them was the young lady with a pleasant voice and beautiful long legs with a black birthmark on the back of her legs, which can be seen as Gu Jin hurriedly running toward a hole.

Five figures just like the black cloaked figures that were helping them, jumped behind Gu Jin.

Now he knew the mastermind who had helped them was a woman who had a strange dark shade of plant vines.

Ren Fulin remembered these details in his heart since he wanted to report it to his General when he got the chance.

........

Gu Jin walked into the underground tunnel found by her skeleton warriors.

However when even after walking for 5 minutes the tunnel didn’t end. She could only ask one of her skeleton warriors to use the Wind magic.

Even with the wind magic, it took the skeleton warrior 10 minutes to reach a vast opening to a base-like area.

Gu Jin’s breath caught in her throat as she stared at the horrific sight before her.

Humans are bound and helpless. There were at least 1000 humans. They were being devoured one by one by parasites that resembled humans.

These parasites were far different from the ones she had encountered on the battlefield—more powerful, more intelligent, and clearly more dangerous.

Their movements were deliberate as if they were savoring their victims’ suffering, feeding not just on flesh but perhaps on something like a life force...

Gu Jin can feel it because she was a necromancer herself!

The parasites didn’t seem to have noticed her presence yet, but it was only a matter of time before they did. She had to act fast.

"Skelly 2, spread out the skeleton warriors. Create a perimeter around this area. We need to block any potential exits before engaging," Gu Jin whispered, her voice steady despite the horror before her.

Skelly 2 silently relayed the orders to the skeleton army, and they began to move into position, their bone feet making almost no sound as they maneuvered into the shadows.

Gu Jin’s eyes darted around the cavernous space.

The humans tied up weren’t just random civilians—they wore uniforms, likely mages or soldiers who had been captured.

Their faces were pale with fear, their eyes wide as they watched their fellow captives being consumed.

It was clear that some of them were powerful, and if rescued, they could provide valuable assistance in the battle.

Remembering how it was shown on the news that even the soldiers had given up on Fujio city, Gu Jin felt the world was an absurd place.

These soldiers were fighting for Fujio city yet the TV stations said that the military had given up on Fujio city.

But rescuing them wouldn’t be easy.

"Master," the space said softly, sensing her unease. "You could use the necromantic power to resurrect those who are already dead. They would be useful in overwhelming the parasites."

Gu Jin hesitated, her eyes briefly flickering to the half-eaten bodies.

She had more than enough life force stored...and could resurrect more than 10 soldiers.

After resurrecting so many soldiers, Gu Jin realized that each time she filled the life force in her body and emptied it, her capacity for resurrection would increase a bit too.

"Alright," she said quietly. "But once I start the process those parasites will notice my move, so I will try to resurrect as many soldiers as I can."

She knelt down, her hands glowing faintly with dark energy as she extended her necromantic power.

She quickly found the 10 most perfect corpses and cast her primary rank spell.

"Arise from the death."

"So there was indeed a rat here." A voice muttered just behind Gu Jin’s ears.

’Enter’ Gu Jin hurriedly said and entered her space.

The moment Gu Jin entered the space a poisonous liquid was thrown at the place she was standing before.

The poisonous liquid eroded the ground to the point a hole was created.

If Gu Jin hadn’t reacted in time a hole would have been created in her back till her heart and she would have died in just a few seconds.

"Eh? Where did that rat go?" The voice muttered.

"Space can you show me the outside’s situation?"

’Yes, master.’ The space replied and Gu Jin saw a man in a blue uniform. The man had beautiful ocean-like eyes and blue hair, with fair skin and a tall build.

Handsome and gentle. That was what others would think of him, but Gu Jin only felt the danger radiating from that man.

"Space is he at Emperor Rank?" Gu Jin asked.

"No master." The space answered.

Gu Jin didn’t relax, instead, her expression turned black and she asked,

"Then...is it False Heaven Rank? Is he a parasite?"

"Yes, master. Yes, he is a parasite." The space’s answer made Gu Jin’s heart turn heavy.

False Heaven Rank...The rank between Emperor Rank and Heaven Rank.

It was very difficult to deal with a False Heaven Rank when she was just at Advanced Rank.

"Master you can’t defeat him even with my presence." The space said worriedly.

Gu Jin gritted her teeth,

"I know."

"So master what do you plan to do, how about running away? We can first go to the place where the artifact is and destroy the artifact.

Once the restraint is lifted, I am sure that these soldiers will be able to fight back." The space suggested.

"No." Gu Jin shook her head, "Things are not as easy as they may look. Once I leave, this leader, or whatever it is, informs the parasites who are guarding the artifact and asks them to stay even more alert.

Also if this cave is guarded by a False Heaven Rank, then I truly don’t know what will the level of the parasite guarding the artifact."

"Master," the space said softly, "if you can’t fight him head-on, perhaps distraction is your best option."

Gu Jin stopped pacing and considered the suggestion. Distraction.

Hm...

An idea appeared in Gu Jin’s mind but soon she felt it wasn’t possible.

Outside the blue-haired human stared at the place Gu Jin was earlier and muttered,

"Did that rat hide in some tunnel? Or did he run away? How boring!"
