Liang Bao took out her phone and checked the message. Her face slowly turned pale too.

"Bao’er? What happened?" Gu Jin asked worriedly.

However, Liang Bao didn’t answer. Her hands started to tremble and soon the phone fell to the ground.

Gu Jin hurriedly looked at the messages and realized what was happening.

Liang Bao’s graduation certificate was about to be confiscated.

Magic School had a very reputable name for having strict criteria for graduation. The first and foremost criterion was being an advanced rank.

For the past 1000 years, this rule has never changed.

Liang Bao didn’t reach the advanced rank of magic and yet she was able to graduate from the Magic School.

Now someone had made this matter public...it could only mean, Liang Bao being in deep trouble.

Gu Jin took a deep breath and said,

"We will deal with it calm down."

Then she turned to Lu Siyao and asked,

"And why are you going to be arrested?"

Lu Siyao sghook her head,

"I don’t know. One of the colleagues who have a good relationship with me shared this information."

Gu Jin raised an eyebrow.

Both Liang Bao and Lu Siyao got in trouble.

If someone told her that this was a coincidence she would never believe it.

It was more like someone was deliberately looking for trouble.

Gu Jin muttered,

"Gu Aihan...if you are truly behind this then wait and watch."

The majestic aura around Gu Jin attracted Liang Bao and Lu Siyao’s attention. For some reason, both of them felt safe.

With Gu Jin around they don’t need to worry about anything.

Slowly their emotions calmed down and they guessed,

"Is it Gu Aihan?"

From a different perspective, it was clear that Gu Aihan was threatening them.

"I don’t know." Gu Jin shook her head, "But if she is truly behind it..."

A chuckle escaped Gu Jin’s mouth and the atmosphere of the rooms dropped a few degrees.

In a Grand Mansion.

Gu Aihan was seated on the sofa and listening to the report from his subordinate about Liang Bao and Lu Siyao’s situation.

Malice appeared in her eyes.

Though the black-cloaked man had told her not to take any action against Gu Jin, he didn’t mention Liang Bao and Lu Siyao.

When she thought of how Liang Bao and Lu Siyao kept on provoking Gu Jin to investigate her(Gu Jin’s) background, Gu Aihan gritted her teeth.

Since those b*tches have so much time and like to interfere in other’s matters so much, they might as well use that time to clean up their own messes.

Gu Aihan smirked as she rose from the sofa, her fingers trailing along the edge of the table.

"Liang Bao... Lu Siyao..." she muttered, her voice cold, "You dare meddle in things that don’t concern you? You’ll pay for this."

She snapped her fingers, and her subordinate straightened immediately, awaiting further instructions.

"Make sure the military arrest is smooth and quick. And for Liang Bao... ensure the school’s investigation digs deep. I don’t want any loose ends."

The subordinate bowed before swiftly leaving the room.

Gu Aihan’s smirk widened as she glanced at the family portrait hanging on the wall. It was a luxurious painting of her and the Gu Family.

"No one can snatch this position from me. Whoever tries to snatch this position from me will have to pay with their life!"

In a military camp office.

A tall man who looked as if in his mid-twenties, with tanned skin and a healthy build as well as a handsome face was dealing with some paperwork.

Other than his strong aura, and handsome face, the most striking thing of his face was his red eyes.

When resting those eyes looked beautiful however whenever they were narrowed it looked as if he could kill any person just with his piercing red eyes.

Just then his phone rang.

The man calmly glanced at the phone and after some thought he picked it up.

"Hello? Yes? I know. Why? Okay fine. Why are you here? Hm...okay I am arriving at the entrance."

As soon as the man finished his sentence, he hung up the call and walked out of the room.

As soon as the man walked out, the guards stationed outside the office room saluted him,

"Good day, General Gu."

"Hello General Gu!"

The man named General Gu nodded without much expression. His aura was cold and his expression was indifferent. It was as if nothing in this world could move him.

Soon he arrived at the entrance and saw a black cloaked person.

General Gu frowned and asked,

"Why are you wearing such a strange cloak? You don’t need to hide your presence."

The black-cloaked person didn’t say anything and passed it to the man named General Gu.

General Gu paused for a moment and after some thought, he took it.

The black-cloaked person extended his hand. A hint of helplessness appeared in General Gu’s eyes.

"Is it necessary?" General Gu asked.

The black-cloaked person nodded.

General Gu could only pass a small plastic bag.

"I still think it is impossible." General Gu said.

The black-cloaked person didn’t say anything and turned to leave.

General Gu could only shake his head.

Soon General Gu returned to his office with the documents. He placed it in one of the drawers and started to work.

After a few hours when he was finished with his work, he looked at the drawer in which the document was placed, and after some thought he took it out.

With indifference on his face, General Gu opened the documents and started to read the content, but soon his expression changed and he stood up from his chair,

"Impossible."

Once the 20 minutes were over, a knock sounded on the door.

Lu Siyao’s face turned pale.

Gu Jin patted her hand and opened the door. Sure enough at the door, some men in military uniform stood with serious expressions.

One of the men, the leader of the group, stepped forward and said,

"Lu Siyao, you are under arrest for violating military protocol. Please cooperate with us and come quietly."

Lu Siyao’s hands trembled as she glanced at Gu Jin and Liang Bao, her face pale with fear.

"I don’t even know what I did wrong," she whispered, barely audible.

Gu Jin stepped forward, blocking their path.

"Wait," she said firmly, her voice steady. "You can’t just take her without explaining the charges in detail. What has she supposedly done?"

The leader of the group gave her a cold stare but replied,

"It’s a confidential matter. Orders came from above. If she’s innocent, it will be cleared during the investigation."

Gu Jin narrowed her eyes.

"Can you guarantee her safety?" She asked in a nonchalant tone.

"We will try our best to punish only the innocent." The leader of the group said.

Such simple words, but they had so many meanings.

As long as Lu Siyao is detained, even god can’t save her from dying. Once detained they could slowly torture her and then kill her.

After Lu Siyao’s death even if she was proven innocent they couldn’t possibly bring Lu Siyao back to life, right?

The leader of the group smiled internally.

Gu Jin chuckled,

"Ah? So where is the arrest warrant?"

The leader of the group frowned but took out a paper and passed it to Gu Jin.

Gu Jin looked for the reason and chuckled,

"Charges...leaking the confidential information to the neighboring country? How childish..."

The leader of the group was irritated and said,

"Little girl it would be better if you let me do my work. move aside."

"Sure. But before that, you need to talk with our advisor." Gu Jin smiled.

As soon as Gu Jin finished her words a blue-haired guy in a blue and white uniform appeared in the room.

"Ufff...I think I am not late, right?" The guy asked.

Lu Siyao’s eyes brightened and she called out,

"Captain Fei."

Fei Hanzhu nodded at Lu Siyao.

After that incident, Lu Siya spent a lot of time with Fei Hanzhu.

Both of them belonged to very different departments. She was in the military while Fei Hanzhu was a member of the Magic Association working as a special force officer.

Though they have their friction and fight a lot, they always have their back.

Fei Hanzhu would take care of Lu Siyao whenever someone tried to make things difficult for her. While Lu Siyao ensures that no one speaks ills about Fei Hanzhu.

Gu Jin knew about it and hence had Fei Hanzhu’s number with her.

The moment she heard about the arrest the first person that appeared in her mind was Fei Hanzhu.

Does Gu Aihan think they are a group of helpless orphans? Well, she was wrong then...

The moment Fei Hanzhu entered the room, the tension shifted.

His calm but authoritative presence instantly silenced the military officers who had come to arrest Lu Siyao.
